Chinese Journal of Urology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To present the means of localizing the kidney with ectopic ureter in order to provide the reliable ground for surgical strategy. Methods Clinical manifestation study,IVU,SPECT imaging and cystoscopy were conducted. All the 58 patints are female with a mean age of 3.4 years.According to the creteria presented in reference,5 were type Ⅰ,42 type Ⅲ,1 type Ⅳ,8 type Ⅴ and 2 type Ⅵ. Results Operative finding revealed the accurate localization and diagnosis rate of IVU has been 95%(40/42) in type Ⅲ ectopic ureter,B-ultrasonograph 27%(12/53),SPECT 37%(6/16).With the combined consideration of imaging procedures and cystoscopy, the accurate localization and diagnosis rate has been 98%(57/58). Conclusions Combined use of imaging procedures and cystoscopy would improve the localization and diagnosis rate.Cystoscopy is the most reliable except in type Ⅲ ectopic ureter.

AIM:To study the KIF21A gene mutation in a Han family with concomitant exotropia. ·METHODS: The genomic DNA of five family members was extracted from peripheral blood leukocytes and amplified with PCR. The PCR products were purified for DNA sequencing. DNA sequences were aligned with the human KIF21A gene sequences registered in GenBank. · RESULTS: Mutation analysis of all exons of the pedigree's KIF21A gene reveals no gene mutation in any of the families. ·CONCLUSION: Our study demonstrates that the KIF21A gene maybe is not virulence gene in this pedigree.

ObjectiveTo analyze the relationship between result of hemorheology and non-pathological factors such as sex, age and life habit.Methods3483 healthy adults who had health examination were divided into different groups according to sex and age, and results of hemorheological test of them were analyzed and compared with reference values.ResultsAll hemorheological indexes of men were higher than that of women. The whole blood viscosity of female had an increasing trend along with the age increasing. However, the result of hemorheology of male showed that the index of the age of 30~49 was higher than the age of more than 50, and had a decreasing trend along with the age increasing after the age of 50. The index of high shear viscosity, low shear viscosity and hematocrit of both male and female were all higher than the reference values offered by apparatus.ConclusionEffect of non-pathological factors such as age, sex and life habit on index of hemorheology should be considered.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application and safety of CT-guided transthoracic cutting needle lung biopsy in diagnosing diffuse lung diseases. Methods By using automatic biopsy gun (14 & 16 gauge), CT-guided transthoracic cutting needle lung biopsy was performed in 29 cases with diffuse lung diseases. The samples obtained were sent for pathological and immunohistochemical examination. The sampling successful rate, the diagnostic accuracy and the occurrence of complications were analyzed. Results Technical success rate was 100%, and large size of sample enough for pathological and immunohistochemical examination was obtained in all 29 cases. Definite pathological diagnosis could be made in 25 cases, with the positive diagnostic rate of 82.8%. The main complications included pneumothorax and pulmonary hemorrhage. The symptoms in most cases were not severe and disappeared within one week after the treatment. Conclusion For the diagnosis of diffuse lung diseases, CT-guided transthoracic cutting needle lung biopsy is a safe, easy, effective and reliable method with high successful rate, high diagnostic value and fewer complications, in these respects this technique is superior to transbronchial lung biopsy, open lung biopsy and video-assisted thoracoscopic lung biopsy. Therefore, this technique should be popularized in clinical practice.

? amyloid protein(A?) including A?40 and A?42 are the important bioactive substances in vivo.Their toxic and beneficial attributes in the body depend on its concentration. The brain A? level is maintained by two balances under the physiological condition. The first balance is the generation involved in ?-secretase and ?-secretase and the degradation involved in neprilysin(NEP) and insulin-degrading enzyme(IDE) of A?. The second one is the balance between the receptor for advanced end glycation products(RAGE)-mediated influx and low-density lipoprotein receptor related protein 1(LRP1)-mediated efflux of A? across the blood-brain barrier(BBB).Breakdowning any one of the two balances would result in the aggregation and precipitation of A? in the brain, which is a crucial event in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease(AD).This paper reviews the regulation of brain A? level under the physiological condition and the reducing strategies on the level of brain A? under the pathological condition for developing new drugs in the treatment of AD.

Objective To analyze the characteristics and changes in the disease spectrum of Air Force(AF) servicemen in order to provide reference for the determinatron of the overall level of health of AF and priorities of disease prevention and control. Methods The data of outpatient and inpatient diseases between 2009 and 2013 in AF was collected and analyzed statistically according to the International Classification of Diseases-9(ICD-9),and statistical description was performed with SPSS18.0.Results Between 2009 and 2013,unit B had the highest number of outpatients and inpatients, accounting for 47.74% and 39.64% respectively. The upper respiratory tract infections,gastroenteritis/gastritis,chronic low back pain, skin diseases, nasal sinusitis, training injury, trauma, hemorrhoids, varicocele and stone diseases were the common and frequently occurring diseases in AF,which were the top ten in the disease spectrum.Among them, the incidence and admission rate of skin diseases kept declining. However, the incidence of gastroenteritis/gastritis in unit A,the incidence and admission rate of chronic low back pain in unit B and D,the incidence of injury in unit D,as well as the incidence of neurological headache and hypertension in unit C and D were higher than in other units. Conclusion Respiratory system disease, and occupation-related diseases such as low back pain, training injuries, trauma, skin disease and digestive system disease are the focus of health care in AF.Health education and health promotion for these diseases should be improved, and health intervention for key populations should be enhanced.

Objective To investigate the effect of different temperature moxibustion on serum IL-1β, IL-2 and TNF-αcontents in acute adjuvant arthritis rats and provide a basis for the mechanism of local anti-inflammatory and immune action of moxibustion. Methods A rat model of adjuvant arthritis (AA) was made by Freund’s complete adjuvant (FCA) modeling method. Of 32 SD rats, 8 were randomly selected as a normal group and the other 24 for model making. After successful model making, the rats were randomly allocated to model, treatment 1 and treatment 2 groups, 8 rats each. Treatment 1 and 2 groups received moxibustion. Local temperature at moxibustion point was controlled at (38±1)℃in treatment 1 group and at (45±1)℃in treatment 2 group. Rat serum IL-1β, IL-2 and TNF-αcontents were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results There were statistically significant differences in serum IL-1β, IL-2 and TNF-αcontents between the model, treatment 1 or treatment 2 group and the normal group (P<0.01). There was a statistically significant difference in serum IL-2 content between treatment 1 and the model groups (P<0.01). There were statistically significant differences in serum IL-1β, IL-2 and TNF-αcontents between treatment 2 group and the model or treatment 1 group (P<0.01). Conclusions Moxibustion has a reducing effect on serum IL-1βand TNF-αcontents and a raising effect on IL-2 content. 45℃moxibustion temperature can improve the effect of moxi bustion. The anti-inflammatory action of moxibustion may be through the mechanism of reducing serum IL-1βand TNF-αcontents and raising IL-2 content, which relieve body inflammatory reaction. The action of moxibustion needs proper moxibustion temperature.
