Myeloid differentiation protein-2(MD-2)can separately and simultaneously bind lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)has been shown to play critical roles in mediated recognition responses to LPS by TLR4 and signal transduction induced by LPS.MD-2 can be bound by LPS,not TLR4.The cells have no responsiveness or weak responsiveness to LPS without MD-2.MD-2 can be secreted into blood plasma,formed soluble MD-2 and remotely regulated cells that contained TLR4 without MD-2.MD-2 has been shown to play important roles in endotoxin signal transduction.MD-2 is a small molecular,short nucleic acid fragment,easily regulated should become a new potential anti-inflammatory target.

ObjectiveTo investigate the expression and relevant function of protein kinase C (PKC)-α in kidney of rat with chronic arsenic poisoning.MethodsTotally 60 healthy SD rats of clean grade were randomly divided by body weight into 3 groups:high-dose arsenic exposure group (10.0 mg/kg),low-dose arsenic exposure group (0.4 mg/kg),and control group.The rats were exposed by drinking arsenic solution which was mixed with distilled water.Rats were weighed every 10 days and dose volume of arsenic solution was adjusted.After continuous exposure for 4 months,blood and urinary arsenic were determined.Rat kidneys were taken and stained by Immunohistochemistry SABC.PKC-o positive cells in the kidney were observed and counted,and its average gray value was analyzed with image analysis software (Biomias).ResultsProximal tubules PKC-α-positive cell count [(3.62 ± 1.90),(10.07 ± 3.22)/field],glomerular PKC-α-positive cell count [(3.62 ± 1.90),(10.07 ± 3.22)/field]in high and low arsenic group of SD rat kidney were lower than those of the control group [(60.00 ± 9.63),(18.57 ± 2.71/field,all P ＜ 0.05]; both urinary arsenic level[(7366.62 ± 1086.50),(1744.31 ± 300.12)μg,/L]and blood arsenic level [(31.59 ± 9.24),(16.58 ± 2.08)μg/L] in high-dose and low-dose groups were higher than those of the control group [(18.97 ± 3.58),(18.97 ± 3.58)μg/L,all P ＜ 0.05] ; the average gray values of SD rat kidney proximal tubule,glomerular PKC-o positive cells in high-dose and low-dose groups( 142.79 ± 11.16,122.15 ±5.91 ) were higher than that of the control group (114.33 ± 6.70,all P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionsArsenic can decrease SD rat kidney PKC-α -positive cells.The regulatory function of PKC-o in inhibiting cell apoptosis of kidney of rats with arsenic poisoning is weakened.

Objective To investigate the thermal stability of solid potassium iodate and potassium iodate as additive in the sodium chloride,vitamin E,vitamin C and yellow prussiate.Methods HCR-2 type Differential Thermal Analyzer was used to carried out the differential thermal analysis of the potassium iodate and the potassium iodate in the sodium chloride,vitamin E,vitamin C and the yellow prussiate,and differential thermal curves were obtained and analyzed.Results The decomposition temperature of solid potassium iodate was 525℃ ; when mixed with sodium chloride,potassium iodate was stable below 300 ℃ ; vitamin C was unstable at 170-200 ℃ and underwent chemical changes; iodate and vitamin C underwent oxidation-reduction reaction at 145 to 160 ℃;potassium iodate with vitamin E at 300 ℃ was stable; yellow prussiate at 300 ℃ was stable; iodized salt was stable at cooking temperature below 300 ℃.Conclusions The potassium iodate has good stability below 525 ℃,however,potassium iodate iodized salt in the cooking process is easy to react with vitamin C in vegetables causing iodine losses,so iodized salt should be added just before the dish is done.

Objective To observe the instant reactions and relationship of astrocytes(ASs) and neurons(Ns) in rat forebrain after the unilateral tibia and fibula bone fracture. Methods With immunohistochemical triple staining method,the expression of Fos-protein,glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) and tyrosine hydroxydase(TH) were observed. Results Here we showed 1.After the nociception of the treatment,GFAP-like immunoreactive (-LI) ASs exhibited clear character of nuclei distribution in the lateralmedial habenular nucleus(LHb),paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus(Pa),supraoptic nucleus(SON),suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCh),bed nucleus of of stria terminalis(BST),central amygdaloid nucleus(Ce) medial amygdaloid nucleus(Me) and cortex;2.The distribution of Fos-LI Ns and GFAP-LI ASs in above nuclei were similar,there were close relationship between Fos-LI Ns and GFAP-LI ASs.3.There were many double-labelled Fos/TH-LI Ns that were surrounded by the GFAP-LI ASs,and formed the neuron-astrocyte complex(N-ASC).Conclusion The ASs as well as Ns of the above nuclei or regions may be involved in instant response and adjustment of the lower extremity bone fracture nociception simultanneously.

Abstract: Objective To understand the prevalence and influencing factors of major chronic diseases among Kirgiz residents in Aheqi County, Xinjiang, and to provide theoretical basis for the prevention and control of chronic diseases in this area. Methods　The data of residents in Aheqi County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang in 2020 for health checkup were selected, and the permanent residents of Kirgiz nationality aged ≥18 were selected as the survey objects, and the prevalence of major chronic diseases and their influencing factors were analyzed by Logistic regression model. Results　A total of 21 935 patients were enrolled, and 10 602 patients suffered from chronic diseases with a prevalence rate of 48.33%, including 4 929 cases of hypertension with a prevalence rate of 22.47%, 4 238 cases of obesity with a prevalence rate of 19.32%, 3 610 cases of dyslipidemia with a prevalence rate of 16.46%, 1 632 cases of anemia with a prevalence of 7.44%, and 1 236 cases of type 2 diabetes with a prevalence of 5.63%. The prevalence of hypertension, obesity, dyslipidemia and type 2 diabetes increased with age, while the prevalence of anemia decreased with age (P<0.01). The prevalence of hypertension dyslipidemia and type 2 diabetes was higher in males than in females, and the prevalence of obesity and anemia was higher in females than in males, with statistical significance (P<0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that 30-<40 years old (OR=1.836, 95%CI: 1.565-2.034), 40-<50 years old (OR=2.916, 95%CI: 2.613-3.255), 50-<60 years old (OR=5.244, 95%CI: 4.651-5.913), 60 years old and above (OR=10.866, 95%CI: 9.533-12.385), government personnel (OR=1.789, 95%CI: 1.405~2.279), professional and technical personnel (OR=1.774, 95%CI:1.372-2.295), the office staff (OR=1.923, 95%CI: 1.418-2.607) occasional alcohol consumption (OR=1.157, 95%CI: 1.055-1.270) and occasional exercise (OR=1.498, 95%CI: 1.238-1.812) were risk factors for chronic disease. Conclusion　The prevalence of chronic diseases among residents in Aheqi County of Xinjiang is at a low level. Local health institutions have strengthened health education and publicity on multiple chronic diseases and the prevention and control of anemia among young and middle-aged women.

Objective To study the effect of dialysis adcquacy,microinflammation and residual renal function on nutritional status of hemodialysis patients.Methods One hundred and fourteen patients were enrolled in this study.Kt/V,?_2-MG and serum iPTH were measured as markers of hemodialysis adequacy.Nutritional evaluation included MQSGA,Alb,Hb,TF,IGF-1,IGFBP-3 and anthropometrics such as HGS,BSF,TSF,MAC,MAMC and AMA.Serum IL-6,TNF-?and CRP were detected to assess microinflammation.Urinary volume of 24 hours was measured to investigate the residual renal function (RRF).Results (1)There were different correlations and regressive associations of Kt/V,iPTH and?_2-MG with HGS,MAMC,AMA,Alb,Hb,nPCR,IGF-1 and MQSGA respectively.(2) There were significant correlations and regressive associations of RRF to HGS,TSF,MAMC,Alb,nPCR and IGF-1 within the first year of hemodialysis.(3) There were different correlations and regression relationships of IL-6,TNF-?and CRP with HGS、MAMC、AMA、Alb、TSF、Hb、nPCR、IGF-1 respectively.(4) Multivariate analysis showed that Kt/V,iPTH,IL-6, TNF-?,?_2-MG and RRF were influencing factors,among them,Kt/V,iPTH,IL-6 and TNF-?were independent predictors of nutritional status.Conclusions Hemodialysis adequacy and micruinflammation may impact on nutritional status.Residual renal function may be involved in nutritional status in the first year of hemodialysis.Kt/V,iPTH,IL-6 and TNF-?are independent factors affecting nutritional status.

Objective To study the relationship between self-esteem and childhood abuse, life events among male violent adolescent. Methods According to the modified overt aggression scale, juvenile delinquents were divided into violent group (n = 128 )and nonviolent group (n = 118 ). All the participants were investigated by Self-Esteem Scale (SES), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-28 Item Short Form (CTQ-SF) and Adolescent SelfRating Life Events (ASLEC) and conducted correlation and regression analysis. Results ①Violent group had lower self-esteem scores ( 22.73 ± 3.30 ) than the nonviolent group ( 23.81 ± 3.30, P ＜ 0.05 ). Violent group had higher scores in physical abuse, sexual abuse, total life events, interpersonal relationship, punishment, and other (8.30 ±4.07, 7.23 ±2.26, 54.48 ±18.60, 10.09 ±3.84, 14.43 ±5.87, 4.93 ±3.15, 9.93 ±3.64), compared to the nonviolent group (7.27 ± 3.27, 6.60 ± 2.09, 45.40 ± 18.45, 8.42 ± 4.13, 11.07 ± 5.75, 3.66 ±2.81, 7.84 ±3.66, P＜0. 05). ②The self-esteem was significantly negative correlated with the childhood abuse and life events( r= -0. 143 ～ -0. 358, P＜ 0.01 ) among violent male adolescents. ③The physical abuse and punishment had significant prediction function of 15.6% on self-esteem. Conclusions Violent adolescents have low self-esteem, which is closely related to childhood abuse and adolescent life events.

Objective To analyze the cause of delayed hemorrhage after minimally invasive percu- taneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL),and to summarize the experience in the interventional treatment of severe bleeding after MPCNL by superselective arteriolar embolization.Methods The clinical data of 3812 cases of MPCNL from June 1998 to July 2004 were reviewed.Of them,12 patients(11 men and 1 woman;mean age,45 years)who developed severe hemorrhage after MPCNL were identified.The cause of hemorrhage and the treatment results were analyzed.Results The rate of delayed hemorrhage after MPCNL was 0.31% (12/3812).The mean time to onset of severe bleeding was 10 d after MPCNL.Renal arteriography was per- formed in all 12 patients,showing 5 arteriovenous fistulas and 7 false aneurysms.Superselective arteriolar em- bolization for hemostasis was performed in all 12 cases.All these vascular abnormalities were successfully treated by superselective embolization.Follow-up showed that the hematuria disappeared and renal function recovered well.Conclusions Severe hemorrhage following MPCNL is a rare complication,the incidence of which is significantly lower than that of conventional PCNL.The cause is mainly the arteriolar injury of re- nal puncture passage.Superselective embolization provides effective control of bleeding and currently consti- tutes the treatment of choice based on our experience.
