Objective:
To learn the health literacy level and its influencing factors among junior high school students in Jiaxing, so as to provide basis for health promotion of adolescents.
Methods:
The junior high school students who had been studying and living in Jiaxing for more than six months were selected by multistage cluster random sampling method. A questionnaire survey was conducted to collect general information and health literacy level (including basic knowledge and concept, healthy lifestyle and behaviors, and basic skills) of these selected students. The multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for health literacy.
Results :
Of 1 773 questionnaires collected, 1 738 were valid, accounting for 98.03%. The level of health literacy in the junior high school students in Jiaxing was 22.84% ( 95%CI: 20.87%-24.82% ), The levels of basic knowledge and concept, healthy lifestyle and behaviors, and basic skills were 55.29% ( 95%CI: 52.95%-57.63% ), 21.75% ( 95%CI: 19.81%-23.69% ), 53.05% ( 95%CI: 50.70%-55.40%), respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the second grade and above ( OR: 1.609-1.835, 95%CI: 1.195-2.459 ), mother's educational level of technical secondary school/senior high school and above ( OR: 1.965-1.976, 95%CI: 1.276-3.357 ), and self-rated academic achievement of medium and above ( OR: 1.881-2.441, 95%CI: 1.359-3.335 ) were the promoting factors for health literacy level of junior high school students; self rated health status as unhealthy ( OR=0.254, 95%CI: 0.089-0.721 ) was an obstructive factor.
Conclusions
The health literacy level of the junior high school students in Jiaxing was 22.84%. The level of healthy lifestyle and behaviors was the lowest in three aspects. Grade, mother's educational level, self-rated academic performance and self-rated health status may have impacts on health literacy level of junior high school students.

Objective To explore the effects of under-expression of large tumor suppressor 1 (LATS1) on activation of Hippo signaling pathway and differentiation, proliferation, migration of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (mMSCs) of micein vitro. Methods mMSCs of C57BL/6 mice were divided into normal control (MSC) group, empty vector control (MSC-GFP) group, LATS1-over-expressing (MSC-LATS1) group, empty vector without LATS1 shRNA control (MSC-shControl) group and LATS1-under-expressing (MSC-shLATS1) group. Lentiviral vectors with activated, inactivated LATS1 (the key molecule of Hippo signaling pathway) modifications and empty vectors were constructed and were used to infect mMSCsin vitro. The transduction efficiencies mediated by the lentiviral vectors were evaluated by fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. The mRNA expression of LATS1 was quantified by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), and the protein expressions of LATS1, YAP (p-YAP), 14-3-3 were quantified by Western Blot to evaluate the activation of Hippo signaling pathway. Osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of mMSCs were evaluated through measurement of Runx2, OSX and C/EBPα, PPAR-γ mRNA by qRT-PCR, as well as Alizarin Red S and Oil red O staining. Proliferation of mMSCs was evaluated using methy thiazdyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay. The scratch test and Transwell chamber test were used to analyze the horizontal and vertical migration ability of mMSCs.Results The transduction efficiencies mediated by the lentiviral vectors were 94.74%-96.10%. Compared with MSC-GFP group, the activation of Hippo signaling pathway was promoted in MSC-LATS1 group [LATS1 mRNA (2-ΔΔCT): 4.37±0.21 vs. 1.20±0.04, LATS1 protein (gray value): 2.21±0.06 vs. 1.09±0.10, p-YAP/YAP protein (gray value): 1.51±0.13 vs. 0.98±0.05, 14-3-3 protein (gray value): 1.92±0.18 vs. 1.10±0.09, allP < 0.05], osteogenic and adipogenic differentiation of mMSCs were decreased in MSC-LATS1 group [mineralization (A value):0.13±0.02 vs. 0.40±0.03, Runx2 mRNA (2-ΔΔCT): 0.51±0.02 vs. 0.98±0.09, OSX mRNA (2-ΔΔCT): 0.41±0.04 vs. 1.04±0.09, lipid accumulation (A value): 0.10±0.02 vs. 0.25±0.03, C/EBPα mRNA (2-ΔΔCT): 0.33±0.03 vs. 1.11±0.09, PPAR-γ mRNA (2-ΔΔCT): 0.29±0.02 vs. 1.04±0.10, allP < 0.05], the proliferation rate of mMSCs at 4-7 days was decreased in MSC-LATS1 group and so were the horizontal and vertical migration of mMSCs [wound healing rate: (18.65±3.53)% vs. (40.29±1.87)%, migrated cells (cells/MP): 35.99±6.18 vs. 103.67±17.77, bothP <0.05]. Objective To explore the effect and mechanism of electroacupuncture at Baihui(GV20) and Zusanli(ST36) of patients with depression.Methods90 patients were randomly divided into group A electroacupunctured at Baihui(GV20) and Zusanli(ST36), group B electroacupunctured at Taichong(LR3), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Neiguan(PC6), and Shenmen(H7) and group C treated with Fluoxetine (20 mg/d, 6 weeks). The therapeutic effect was assessed by the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) before and after treatment. Serum cytokine levels (IL-2, IL-4, and IFN-γ) were measured by ELISA assay at admission and after treatment (6 weeks).ResultsCompared to pre-treatment, the mean levels of HAMD ( P<0.01)and IL-4 (P <0.01) decreased significantly in all groups after treatment. Rank distribution of HAMD scores had obvious difference between all groups. The mean levels of IL-2 and IFN-γ had no significant difference in group C after treatment (P>0.05). And the mean levels of IL-2 and IFN-γ increased significantly in groups A and B after treatment(P<0.01, P<0.05).ConclusionElectroacupuncture takes effect earlier than fluoxetine for depression. Electroacupuncture at Baihui(GV20) and Zusanli(ST36) was more effective than the other two methods. The three types of treatments can restore three types of cytokines and improve depressive syndrome.

This paper introduces an algorithm for detecting T wave alternans (TWA) using Poincare mapping method, which is a technique for nonlinear dynamic systems to display periodic behavior. Vector angle index (VAI) was used to determine the presence or absence of TWA. Adopting MIT/BIH Arrhythmia database and European ECG ST-T database to simulate, we used VAI via poincare mapping method for correlation analysis with Vtwa by way of the spectral method. The cross-correlation coefficient between Vtwa and VAI is gamma = 0.860 1. The algorithm can identify the absence and presence of TWA accurately and provide idea for further study of TWA.

AIM: To determine whether hydroxyapatite modified titanium promotes superior adhension and proliferation of rabbit corneal fibroblast in comparison with pure titanium.METHODS: We used bioactive hydroxyapatite to modify titanium surfaces. Fourth passage fibroblasts of rabbit cornea were seeded on hydroxyapatite modified titanium surfaces, pure titanium and glass surfaces. Cell adhension, proliferation and morphology were detected at 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72hours using a acridine orange stain. Further studies of cell morphology were performed using scanning electron microscopy.RESULT: Ceil counts were significantly greater on hydroxyapatite modified titanium surfaces at each time point(P<0.05).At 24 hours, cell spreading was greater on hydroxyapatite-coated titanium and glass than on the pure titanium. At 72 hours, compared with pure titanium and glass surfaces, the cells on hydroxyapatite modified titanium surfaces had greater spreading area and longer stress fibers.CONCLUSIONS: Hydroxyapatite modified titanium promotes superior adhension and proliferation of rabbit corneal fibroblast in comparison with pure titanium.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2003;32(1):13-16
OBJECTIVETo clone Helicobacter pylori flagellin B gene (flaB) to construct prokaryotic expression system of the gene and to identify immunity of the fusion protein.
METHODSThe flaB gene from a clinical isolate Y06 of H.pylori was amplified by high fidelity PCR. The nucleotide sequence of the target DNA amplification fragment was sequenced after T-A cloning. The expression vector pET32a with inserted flaB gene was constructed. FlaB fusion protein was expressed in E.coli strain BL21DE3 inducted by IPTG at different dosages. Western blot was applied to determine immunoreactivity and immunogenicity of the fusion protein and antibody against whole cell of H.pylori and rabbit antiserum immunized with the fusion protein, respectively.
RESULTSIn comparison with the reported corresponding sequences, the homology of nucleotide sequence of the cloned flaB gene was from 96.31% approximate, equals 97.73%, while the homology of its putative amino acid sequence was as high as 99.41% approximate, equals 100%. The expression output of FlaB fusion protein in pET32a-flaB-BL21DE3 system was approximately 40% of the total bacterial proteins. FlaB fusion protein was able to combine with antibody against whole cell of H.pylori and induce rabbit to produce specific antibody with high titer after the animal was immunized with the protein.
CONCLUSIONA prokaryotic expression system of H. pylori flaB gene with high efficiency has been established successfully. The expressed FlaB fusion protein with satisfactory immunogenicity and immunoreactivity can be used as antigen in H.pylori vaccine and detect kit.
