Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
The Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome(WAS)is a rare X-linked recessive immunodeficiency disorder characterized by thrombocytopenia and small platelets, eczema, recurrent infections, and increased risk for autoimmunity and malignancy. The gene responsible for this syndrome is WAS protein(WASP)gene.Six mutational hotspots have been identified now.Flow cytometric analysis of the WASP expression in lymphocytes is simple, rapid, and applicable for screening of WAS.WASP gene sequencing analysis can confirm the diagnosis.Hemato-poietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)is the mainstay of treatment for WAS.So far more than 40 WAS patients have been diagnosed in China.Due to the few reports and varied clinical manifestations,WAS is often misdiagnosed as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. This review will focus on recent progress in understanding the clinical presentations associated with mutations of the WASP gene, the genotype-phenotype correlation and management of this lethal disease.

Objective To study the significance of plasma homocysteine(Hcy),high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and cardiac treponin T(cTnT)changes in the patients with coronary heart diseases(CHD).Methods From August 2012 to November 2013,240 patients with CHD in our hospital were collected as the CHD group and 250 individuals of healthy physical examination served as the control group.Serum Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT were detected by using the enzymatic cycle assay, immune scatter turbi-dimetry and electrochemiluminescence assay respectively. The data were statistically analyzed by the SPSS software. Results The serum levels of Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT in the CHD group were (24.89±17.78)μmol/L,(17.43±35.89)mg/L and (0.76±2.36) ng/mL respectively, which were significantly higher than those in the control group(P <0.001).Moreover,the positive rate of Hcy in the CHD group was the highest (81 .25%),followed by hs-CRP(64.58%)and cTnT (58.75%).Conclusion Hcy,hs-CRP and cTnT played important roles in the development and progression of CHD,so reducing Hcy level may be an important pathway for preventing and treating CHD.

To study the identification of Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda with spectroscopy techniques, near infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry techniques were applied to study on the identification of 4 kinds of Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda, and characteristic spectrums obtained were systematically analyzed. In NIR study, the four species of Digeda exist some differences in 4 250-4 400 cm(-1) and 5 650-5 800 cm(-1) of one-dimensional spectra, and show significant differences in 4 100- 4 400 cm(-1), 4 401-4 900 cm(-1) and 5 400-5 800 cm(-1) of the second derivative spectra. DSC curves of them present distinct topological pattern, characteristic peak and peak temperature. Using near infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry analysis can realize efficient and accurate identification of four kinds of Mongolian medicine Digeda, and provide scientific basis for the efficient and accurate identification of other Gentianaceae Mongolian medicine Digeda.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(5):937-940
BACKGROUND: Recent studies have reported that more and more methods were used to prevent and cure tendon adhesion following tendon rupture by repairing tendinous sheath. Especially, amnion membrane is commonly used to effective prevent and cure adhesion and promote healing of biomembrane; however, the effect on tendon adhesion needs to be further studied. OBJECTIVE: To verify the efficacy of amnion membrane preserved in Honghua injection on preventing and curing tendon adhesion following transplanting into foot flexor tendon. METHODS: Bilateral foot flexor tendons of 32 healthy mature chickens were cut off. By anastomosis, amnion membrane preserved in Honghua injection was transplanted into left foot flexor tendon, considering as experimental group. Right foot flexor tendons were randomly divided into two groups: blank control group, anastomosis was performed alone; positive control group, amnion membrane not preserved in any injections was transplanted. At 4 weeks after fixation by plaster cast, sliding function of tendon was detected using biomechanics, and local samples were obtained for histopathological observation. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: In the experimental group, broken end of left tendon was well healed; fiber tissues were formed surrounding tendon; tissue adhesion was not observed surrounding tendon. Proliferative quantity and adhesion of fiber tissues, as well as content of hydroxyproline in the experimental group were significantly less than in the blank control and positive control groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01); total inflexion angle of articulationes digitorum pedis and slipping distance of flexor digitorum profundus tendon in the experimental group were significantly greater than in the blank control and positive control groups (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The results indicated that amnion membrane preserved in Honghua injection might prevent tendon adhesion and effectively promote tendon healing.

Objective To investigate the effect of the examination mode which focuses on students' comprehensive skill and capability, and then provide some references for the consummation of the examination evaluation system of the course of pathogenic biology and immunology experiments. Methods Students of five-year class of stomatology of Grade 2009 were selected to sit the innovating examination. The evaluation of the effect was analysed by the way of a questionnaire. Results Many students set higher values on the innovating course arrangement and examination mode which improved their capacity of experimental design, operational technique, writing of laboratory reports, innovative ability and so on. Conclusion The innovating course arrangement and examination mode are superior compared to the old one and can improve students comprehensive ability.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;(2):132-134
To explore the value of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) technique in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant hepatic neoplasms.Retrospective analysis of touch tissue quantification (VTQ) and general ultrasonic examination of interesting region were performed for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC),hepatic hemangioma, focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH) and controls.Significant differences existed between HCC and hepatic hemangioma, hepatic FNH and controls (all P <0.01).No significant difference existed between primary and metastatic HCC (P > 0.05).There was no significant difference between hepatic hemangioma,FNH and controls (all P > 0.05).With a cut-off VTQ value of 1.95 m/s,the sensitivity and accuracy rate in the differentiation of benign and malignant hepatic neoplasms was 90% and 83% respectively. The sensitivity and accuracy rate in general ultrasound examination of hepatic neoplasms was 88% and 70% respectively.Significant differences existed in accuracy rate between two methods (P < 0.01).It was confirmed that ARFI could reflect the stiffness of liver neoplasm noninvasively.Compared with general ultrasonography,ARFI is better at differentiating benign and malignant hepatic neoplasms.

Objective To study the antitumor mechanism of DHA compound. Methods RT-PCR was used to investigate the effects of DHA compound on H-Ras and pl6 mRNA transcription in gastric adenocarcinoma. Results Compared with control, the content of H-Ras mRNA was decreased and the content of p16 mRNA was increased in gastric adenocarcinoma significantly after treated with DHA compound. Conclusion The transcription of H-Ras gene was decreased and the transcription of pl6 gene was increased in gastric adenocarcinoma after treated with DHA compound and thus the cancer cell growth was inhibited.
