OBJECTIVE:To study the mechanism of autophagy of HeLa cell in human cervical cancer induced by fucoxanthin. METHODS:MTT was adopted to determine the cell activity and calculate the inhibition rate after HeLa cells were cultured by 1, 10,20,40 and 80 μmol/L of fucoxanthin for 48 h. Flow cytometry was used to determine the cell cycle and apoptosis rate after HeLa cells were cultured by 0(blank control),10,20 and 40 μmol/L of fucoxanthin for 48 h;acridine orange staining,LysoTrack-er Red staining,HeLa-GFP-LC3 method and fluorescence microscope were used to observe the autophagy state;Western blot was used to determine the expressions of proteins related to autophagy. RESULTS:The cells had obvious inhibition effect on the cell growth after being cultured by 0,10,20,40 and 80 μmol/L of fucoxanthin. The cell was blocked in G0/G1 stage after being cul-tured by 10,20 and 40μmol/L of fucoxanthin,and had no obvious effect on the apoptosis rate;autophagy degree was increased af-ter the cells were cultured by 40 μmol/L fucoxanthin for 48 h. Compared with blank control,40 μmol/L fucoxanthin could promote LC3Ⅰ transferring into LC3Ⅱ and the expressions of Beclin-1,PTEN,p21;and inhibit the phosphorylation of p-Akt,p-p70S6K and p-mTOR. The pre-treatment by autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine(5 mmol/L)could reverse the autophagy of HeLa cells in-duced by fucoxanthin;U0126 could partly reverse the autophagy of HeLa cells induced by fucoxanthin. CONCLUSIONS:Fucoxan-thin can induce the authphagy of HeLa cells by inhibiting Akt signaling pathway and activating MEK/ERK signaling pathway.

Humans are exposed to the ubiquitous radiofrequency (RF, 100 kHz-300 GHz) electromagnetic fields because of the mushroom development of wireless communications,raising concerns over the possible hazards of RF radiations.Epidemiological investigation has showed that chronic use of cellphones increases the risk of brain tumors.Since genetic damage is closely related to tumors, researchers have been trying to find out whether cellphones and other RF devices are genotoxic.However, the investigations have yielded both negative and positive results.This review summarized the recent in vitro and in vivo researches about genotoxicity of RF radiations and proposed a possible mechanism by which of RF radiations cause genetic damage.

AIM: To activate hepatic stellate cells (HSC) in vitro in precision-cut liver slices (PCLS) stimulated by acetaldehyde for studying and screening anti-fibrotic drugs. METHODS: PCLS were prepared by the vibratome, and incubated with 700 ?m?L~-1 acetaldehyde for 0, 2, 4 and 6 h. The medium and homogenate were retained to determine glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) leakage and hydroxyproline (Hyp) content. PCLS were prepared for paraffin sections. The expression of ?-smooth muscle actin (?-SMA) was evaluated by immunohistochemistry, and the result was analyzed with image analysis software. Scientific research is important for the improvement of the health-care techniques,and is certainly important for the health of women and children of the whole society.With the development of medical science,research ability of maternal and child healthcare professionals is deemed essential.And the evaluation of their research ability,stimulation,and creativity have been important topics to address.Here we introduce an evaluation system for research capacity of maternal and child healthcare professionals established in our hospital,which is the fruit of constant exploration and practice for several years.It is proved to be practical,simple and feasible.The establishment methods,practices and experiences of the evaluation system are presented in this paper.

Objective: To research the best processing method for ginger pinellia by orthogonal tests.Methods: The orthogonal tests included the soaking time, boiling water and cooking time as the influencing factors, an HPLC method was used for the determination of 4 nucleosides (uridine, guanosine, adenosine, inosine), and the alum limit and extract content were also studied.The results were evaluated by multi index comprehensive weighted score to optimize the processing technology of ginger pinellia.Results: The best processing technology of ginger pinellia was as follows: soaked for 60 hours, the proportion of boiling water and pinellia tuber was 15:1, and boiled for about 5 h.Conclusion: The optimum processing technology of ginger pinellia is reasonable, reliable and reproducible, which can be used as the reference for the processing standardization of Chinese crude drugs.

Objective In this study ,to explore the relationship between the renal blood flow PI ,and the AKI was caused by CPB .Methods 14 cases with heart disease were accepted .The renal aorta and renal segmental artery PI of all cases were monitored by the CDFI at the preoperative and postoperative 1 h ,2 h ,4 h ,8 h ,16 h ,24 h .The renal blood urea nitrogen (Urea) ,uric acid (UA) ,creatinine (Crea) ,were detected at the same time .All datas for statistical analysis .Results The renal aorta PI was higher at the postoperative 1 h ,2 h ,4 h ,8 h ,16 h than that at the preoperative .The renal segmental artery PI was higher at the postoperative 1 h ,2 h ,4 h ,16 h than that at the preoperative .The renal blood flow PI was positively correlated with Urea ,UA and Crea .Conclu-sion The renal aorta ,renal segmental artery PI was positively correlated with Urea ,UA and Crea after CPB .The PI may be seen as an evaluation index to assess AKI after CPB .

Objective To investigate feasibility and validity of endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) of traumatic thoracic aortic injuries (TTAI).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on data of 13 patients with TTAI.Pathological changes were evaluated by spinal CT angiography (CTA) preoperatively and re-evaluated by digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in EVAR.CTA was performed again to confirm therapeutic effects at postoperative 3,6,12 months and annually thereafter.Results All patients had successful EVAR.Complete or partial cover of left subclavian artery was observed in four patients.Endoleak in angiography shortly after stent delivery was noticed in three patients.However,endoleak disappeared in one patient after short stent placement for twice; endoleak was evidently decreased in one patient after balloon dilation.Follow-up was performed for another patient with slight endoleak.A total of 12 patients were followed up,which showed no complications,such as endoleak,ischemia of left upper extremity,paralysis or stent-graft migration.Conclusion EVR is safe and effective in treatment of TTAI.
