Objective: To explore the correlation of plasma level N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in patients with non-diabetic acute myocardial infarction (AMI) combining stress hyperglycemia.
Methods: A total of 327 non-diabetic AMI patients treated in our hospital from 2012-02 to 2014-05 were studied. The patients were divided into 2 groups according to fasting blood glucose level:Stress group, the patients with blood glucose≥7.0 mmol/L, n=182 and Non-stress group, the patients with blood glucose<7.0 mmol/L, n=145. The basic clinical condition, laboratory tests within 24 hours of onsets, echocardiography and 24 h dynamic electrocardiogram were examined;the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) including arrhythmia, heart failure, cardiac shock and sudden cardiac death in 2 weeks of onsets were analyzed and compared between 2 groups.
Results: The patients’ age, gender, history of hypertension, smoking, drinking, and blood levels of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C were similar between 2 groups, P>0.05. Plasma levels of NT-proBNP, CK-MB, MYO, ultra-TnI, ALT, AST and blood glucose level were signiifcantly different between 2 groups P<0.01. NT-proBNP level was positively related to
ultra-TnI (r2=0.811, r=0.901, P<0.01). Stress group presented obviously higher incidence of MACE (P<0.05), lower LVEF (P<0.01), and signiifcantly increased left ventricular end diastolic diameter, left ventricular end systolic diameter (P<0.01) than those in Non-stress group.
Conclusion: Plasma levels of NT-proBNP may judge the severity and evaluate recent prognosis in patients with non-diabetic AMI combining stress hyperglycemia, it could be used as a risk indicator for relevant patients in clinical practice.

BACKGROUND:There is a high morbidity after spinal cord injury, and the therapeutic strategy is limited to early surgical intervention, medication and post-treatment exercise that only can improve the motor function slightly. However, there is no effective cure method. OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of partition-type spinal cord catheter combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels on T8 spinal cord transection damage in rats. METHODS:Fifty rats were randomized into five groups (n=10 per group): group I, T8 spinal cord transection (5 mm) was made in rats with no treatment; group II, the partition-type tube was inserted into the injured site after modeling; group III, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group IV, partition-type tube combined with polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group V, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels and polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 2 and 12 weeks postoperatively, Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan scores were significantly higher in the groups III and IV than the groups I, II, IV (P < 0.05). At 12 weeks postoperatively, the latency of motor evoked potential below the injury plane was significantly decreased in group V compared with groups I, II, III, IV (P < 0.05). Immunohistochemical results displayed that in the groups III and V, regenerated nerve fibers grew positively and arranged orderly among the tubes, and there was no obvious winding phenomenon. Under transmission electron microscopy, a certain number of myelinated nerve fibers were found as bridges among groups. These findings indicate that the partition-type chitosan tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels has a good connection with the injured spinal cord a good connection to restore part of electrophysiological properties, accelerate the axon regeneration, recover the motor function, thereby providing a new direction for the treatment of spinal cord injury. ObjectiveTo explore the etiology, comolication a nd causes of death of hospitalized preterm infants. MethodsM aternal and neonatal medical records of 834 hospitalized preterm infants from Ja nuary 1991 to Decembre 2001 were reviewed.ResultsThe statist ics showed that there was an increased tendency of hospitalized preterm infants year by year. Most of them have a definite etiology of prematurity. There were m ore cases hospitalized in winter than in other seasons. 87.6% of preterm infants were associated with different complications. The morbidity of cold injury, pne umonia, recurrent apnea and intracranial hemorrhage declined in last 6 years. Si xty-four babies died, the mortality rate was 7.7%. The smaller the gestational age and birth weight was, the higher the mortality would be. The risk factors of death were birth weight, gestational age, Apgar score at 1 minute after birth, pulmonary hemorrhage and hyaline membrane disease. Conclusion It is important to enforce the perinatal health care and the co-operation of ob stetricians and pediatricians to reduce the complications of prematurity. We sho uld set up a well organized district perinatal transport system, raise the effic iency of rescue management, reduce the mortality and improve the prognosis of pr eterm infants.

Objective To study the value of flow cytometry in identifying metastatic CK positive and negative nonhematopoietic neoplasms in bone marrow. Methods Twenty-six cell lines representing ten epithelial neoplasms, one lymphoma cell line and one human T cell lymphoblast-like cell line were purchased from American Tissue Culture Collection. From July 2009 to June 2010, five nonhematopoietic neoplasms, fifteen hematopoietic neoplasms and fifteen control patients with complete remession after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation were collected in Beijing Daopei Hospital. Cryopreserved cell lines were thawed and cultured until they entered log phase. After permeabilization, cell lines were analyzed by staining with cytoplasmic CK-FITC antibody using four-color flow cytometer. The percent CK positivity was measured by comparing with negative control. Bone marrow samples were stained with membrane and cytoplasmic antibodies according to our routine methods. Based on lineage markers and blast markers as well as CK expression, the relevant hematopoietic diseases were diagnosed or excluded according to 2008 World Health Organization diagnosis standards. Results All epithelial neoplasm cell lines expressed CK, with average positive percentage 81.1%. All the lymphoid tumor cell lines didn't express CK. Two epithelial neoplasms were CK positive, 100. 0% in thyroid carcinoma and 98. 2% in lung carcinoma, respectively. Hematopoietic tumor and control samples didn't express CK. They expressed relevant hematopoietic markers, such as CD45 as well as lineage markers, or CD138 and cytoplasmic immunoglobulin light chain. Three nonepithelial nonhematopoietic neoplasms didn't express CK. CK positive or negative nonhematopoietic neoplasms didn't express hematopoietic markers such as CD45, HLA-ABC and HLA-DR DP DQ, as well as lineage specific markers. Besides, CK positive might be helpful to suggest epithelial origin. Conclusion Flow cytometry with hematopoietic markers and CK can effectively exclude hematopoietic tumor and identify metastatic CK positive and negative nonhematopoietic neoplasms in bone marrow.

OBJECTIVETo observe the inhibitory effect of gefitineb on the proliferation and its inducing effect on the apoptosis of mouse I-10 Leydig testicular cancer cells in vitro.
METHODSWe treated I-10 Leydig testicular cancer cells of mice with gefitineb at 0, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, and 40 µmol/L. Then we determined the inhibitory effect of gefitineb on the growth of the cells by MTT, detected their early and late apoptosis by Annexin V-FITC/propidium iodide double staining and Hoechst 33258 nuclear staining, respectively, and observed the expressions of apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2, Bax and caspase 3/9 by Western blot.
RESULTSCompared with the blank control group, gefitineb significantly inhibited the proliferation of the I-10 cells at 10 and 20 µmol/L (P < 0.05). The survival rate of the cells was (32.4 ± 2.8)% (P < 0.01) and their early and late apoptosis rates were (26.7 ± 4.2)% and (59.33 ± 10.2)% in the 40 µmol/L group, significantly different from those in the control (P < 0.05 and P <0.01). In comparison with the blank control group, gefitineb at 10, 20, and 40 µmol/L increased the expression of pro-apoptotic protein Bax by (41.9 ± 7.1), (60.1 ± 9.8), and (69.0 ± 11.3)% (all P < 0.05), decreased that of apoptosis-inhibitory protein Bcl-2 by (50.3 ± 8.9), (63.9 ± 6.9), and (88.7 ± 13.9)% (all P < 0.05), and elevated that of the cleft proteins caspase-3 by (69.0 ± 6.9)% (P < 0.05), (71.5 ± 8.1)% (P < 0.05), and (110.9 ± 14.2)% (P < 0.01) and caspase-9 by (51.8 ± 4.9), (54.7 ± 6.7), and (43.8 ± 11.8)% (all P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONGefitineb can increase the cytotoxicity of I-10 Leydig testicular cancer cells of mice and induce their apoptosis via the mitochondria-mediated apoptosis signaling pathway.

A pot experiment was conducted to study effect of drought stress on leaf physiological characteristics and growth of one year old Stellaria dichotoma seedlings. The result showed that plant height and shoot dry weight significantly decreased with decrease in soil water content; however, root length and root dry weight increased at light drought stress and decreased at severe drought stress. The result also showed that with the decrease of soil water content, proline content in S. dichotoma leaves decreased then increase, while solube protein content decreased. Activities of SOD and POD in S. dichotoma leaves significantly decreased as soil water content decreased, while activity of CAT significantly decreased at severe drought stress. Membrane permeability in S. dichotoma leaves increased, while MDA content decreased then increased as soil water decreased. These results suggest that S. dichotoma had osmotic stress resistance ability and reactive oxygen scavenging capacity at light drought stress, which caused S. dichotoma growth was no inhibited at a certain extent drought stress.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of Chinese drugs for Pi strengthening Shen benefiting (CDPSSB) on the immunity function of HIV/AIDS patients' specific T cells.
METHODSTotally 20 patients were randomly recruited from the treated group [treated by CDPSSB combined highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART)] and 23 patients were randomly recruited from the control group (treated by HAART alone). All patients were follow-up infected persons form You'an Hospital between from June 2010 to June 2012. CD4+ T absolute counts and HIV viral load were detected. Meanwhile, HIV whole gene overlapping peptides were used as stimulating antigen. The response intensity of HIV specific T cells was detected in the two groups.
RESULTSThere was no statistical difference in CD4 T absolute counts or HIV viral load between the two groups (P > 0.05). The response intensity of HIV specific T cells was significantly enhanced in the treated group, when compared with the control group (P < 0.05). Along with elongation of treatment time (6, 12, 18, and 24 months) in the treated group, the response intensity of HIV specific T cells showed enhancing tendency, but there was no statistical difference among these time points (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONCDPSSB could enhance improve the immunity function of HIV specific T cells, which might be one of its mechanisms.

Background Placement of an orbital implant is a main way to prevent orbital atrophy with aging. But its mechanism is under clear.Researchs showed that bone growth factors play important role during the development and repair of bone, especially transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1).Objective Present study was to investigate the expression of TGF-β1 protein in orbital bone after enucleation or enucleation with placement of an orbital implant and its function in the mechanisms of preventing and treating the orbital malformed development after enucleation with placement of an orbital implant. Methods Twenty-one age- and weight-matched New Zealand white young rabbits were randomly divided into the enucleation, implant and control groups, and each group including seven rabbits.Eyeball nucleation surgery was performed in the left eyes of 7 1-month-old rabbits, and a spherical orbital implant was inserted after enucleation of the left in matched rabbits in implant group. The left eye of normal rabbits served as controls. The rabbits were sacrificed in 1 month after surgery. The expression of TGF-β1 protein in the left orbital bone was detected using enzyme immunoassay and FITC labelling immunoassay technique in the sections of zygomatic bones. The content of TGF-β1 protein in the left orbital bone tissue was measured by ELISA method. This use of animals complied with the Regulations for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission. Results The height and width of orbital in enucleation group were significantly lower than those of implant and normal control groups(height:P=0.00,P=0.00;width:P =0.00,P=0.00).The positive bone cells of both enzyme immunoassay and FITC staining were increased in the implant and control groups in comparison with enucleation group, but the positive response intensity for TGF-β1 was resembled between implant group and control group.ELISA result revealed that the content of TGF-β1 protein in bone tissue was significantly lower in the enucleation group than in implant and control groups(P=0.00,P=0.00).The expression and content of TGF-β1 protein in bone tissue is similar between the implant group and the control group(P=0.41). Conclusion The experiment results indicate that TGF-β1 protein participate in the orbital development.TGF-β1 played important role in the prevention and treatment of enucleation-induced orbital malformation in the eye with placement of an orbital implant.
