1. Theoretical analysis of natural frequency of externally prestressed concrete beam based on rigidity correction
Academic Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University 2009;21(1):31-35
A dynamic test on externally prestressed simply supported concrete beams separately with three typical types of tendon distributions was conducted. The results show that the natural frequencies of the beams increase with the increase in the prestressing force at the tensioning stage, and the natural frequencies decrease after the cracks occur in the beams. Following the calculation formula of natural frequency of externally prestressed beam, which was reported in a literature, the natural frequencies of the experimental beams are calculated, and big errors are found between the test results and the calculated ones of natural frequency values. As a result, this paper has tried to adopt two methods to correct the rigidity parameter of the concrete beam in the formula for natural frequency calculation, and to use the corrected formula to calculate the frequencies of the experimental beams. The calculation results indicate a good consistency with the experimental ones, which verifies the feasibility of the corrected formula.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2004;12(6):866-869
Survivin a novel member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein family, is overexpressed in most types of cancer but not in normal differentiated adult tissues. Its mRNA expression levels among hematogical malignancies are characteristic in each type, subtype and distinctive in different phases of disease, making it a reliable diagnostic marker for clinical stages. Recently, researches indicate that high levels of survivin expression are associated with a poor prognosis and may be involved in tumor resistance to multiple chemotherapeutic drugs. In addition, experiments demonstrate that leukemic vaccination with DC pulsed with survivin antigen in vitro inhibit the proliferation of leukemic cells. Furthermore, when transferred survivin antisense oligodeoxynucleotide or dominant-negative mutant survivin into, malignant cells can be induced apoptosis mediated by downregulation in survivin expression. These findings suggest that survivin may serve as a potential target for biological strategies against hematological neoplasms. This review focuses on expression of survivin in hematological malignancies, effects of survivin on drug-resistance and prognosis of hematological malignancies, and application of survivin in the treatment of hematological malignancies.

Biomolecules & Therapeutics 2017;25(5):471-481
The canonical transient receptor potential channels (TRPCs) constitute a series of nonselective cation channels with variable degrees of Ca2+ selectivity. TRPCs consist of seven mammalian members, TRPC1, TRPC2, TRPC3, TRPC4, TRPC5, TRPC6, and TRPC7, which are further divided into four subtypes, TRPC1, TRPC2, TRPC4/5, and TRPC3/6/7. These channels take charge of various essential cell functions such as contraction, relaxation, proliferation, and dysfunction. This review, organized into seven main sections, will provide an overview of current knowledge about the underlying pathogenesis of TRPCs in cardio/cerebrovascular diseases, including hypertension, pulmonary arterial hypertension, cardiac hypertrophy, atherosclerosis, arrhythmia, and cerebrovascular ischemia reperfusion injury. Collectively, TRPCs could become a group of drug targets with important physiological functions for the therapy of human cardio/cerebro-vascular diseases.

Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2020;35(17):1346-1350
Objective:To compare the difference of blood amino acids and acylcarnitine levels between small-for-gestational-age (SGA) and appropriate-for-gestational age (AGA) full-term newborns, and to explore the changes of the blood metabolism spectrum of full-term SGA, so as to provide evidence for clinical intervention.Methods:Seventy-nine full-term SGA newborns born in the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University from January to December 2018 were selected as the study objects.Seventy-nine gestational age-and gender-matched healthy full-term AGA newborns born in the same hospital at the same time were selected as the control group. The dry blood spot samples were collected and detected by tandem mass spectrometry on the third day after birth. The differences between two groups and considerable biomarkers were explored by the orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA).Results:The birth weight of SGA newborns was (2.5±0.2) kg, and that of AGA newborns was (3.2±0.3) kg.OPLS-DA model analysis showed that 12 kinds of blood metabolites were identified which possessed the biggest weight discriminating the full-term SGA group from the AGA group, and the ratios of these blood metabolites of two groups were compared as follows: propionylcarnitine (0.34±0.13 vs. 0.42±0.15), tyrosine [0.24(0.18, 0.27) vs.0.28(0.22, 0.37)], free carnitine (0.43±0.14 vs. 0.37±0.12), valine [0.39(0.35, 0.45) vs.0.44(0.36, 0.53)], octanoylcarnitine (0.33±0.13 vs. 0.29±0.09), myristoylcarnitine (0.35±0.12 vs. 0.31±0.10), butylcartine (0.37±0.13 vs. 0.41±0.14), 3-hydroxyisovlerylcartine[0.35(0.25, 0.43) vs.0.35(0.26, 0.45)], decenoylcarnitine (0.26±0.13 vs. 0.23±0.08), isovalerylcarnitine[0.33(0.26, 0.34) vs.0.33(0.30, 0.35)], leucine [0.38(0.30, 0.47) vs.0.40(0.33, 0.48)]and methionine (0.42±0.14 vs. 0.46±0.15). The level of propionylcarnitine ( t=3.920), tyrosine ( Z=3.536) and valine ( Z=2.838) in the full-term SGA group were significantly lower than those in the AGA group, while the levels of free carnitine ( t=-2.863), octanoylcarnitine ( t=-2.266) and myristoylcarnitine ( t=-2.194) in the full-term SGA group were significantly higher than those in the AGA group (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The concentration of amino acids and acylcarnitine in the blood of SGA newborns is different from that in AGA newborns.Aromatic amino acids and branched chain amino acids should be added in full-term SGA nutrition support as they can meet the energy metabolism by mobilizing medium and long chain fatty acids in the early stage.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2010;35(12):1242-1247
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the relation between multi-slice spiral CT pulmonary perfusion imaging and the cavity of microvessel in lung cancer.
METHODS:
Altogether 36 patients with malignant nodules who underwent multi-slice spiral CT perfusion scan were examined. The perfusion parameters were collected and compared with the microvessel density (MVD), the incomplete lumen MVD, and the differentiation of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The patients were divided into a hyper-perfusion group and a hypo-perfusion group by the value of perfusion parameters. The maturity of microvessel and the degree of differentiation in NSCLC between the 2 groups was analyzed.
RESULTS:
Blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV), and peak enhancement image(PEI) of the malignant nodules were (39.7±11.5) mL/(100 mg.min), (8.6±3.8)mL/100 g, and (20.1±8.6)HU, respectively. There was a positive correlation between PEI and MVD(r=0.645,P<0.01), and a negative correlation between BF and MVD(r=-0.280,P=0.048). There were negative correlations of BF, BV, PEI with the incomplete lumen MVD (P<0.05). BF had the highest correlation coefficient(r=-0.882,P<0.01).The incomplete lumen MVD of the hyper-perfusion group was significantly lower than that of hypo-perfusion group (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in MVD between the 2 groups. There were negative correlations of BF, BV,PEI with the degree of differentiation (P<0.05). BF had the highest correlation coefficient(r=-0.751,P<0.01).
CONCLUSION
Multi-slice spiral CT pulmonary perfusion imaging is helpful to evaluate the degree of differentiation and status of angiogenesis in lung cancer, and its basis is the cavity of microvessel.
