Objective:
This study aims to investigate the sub-health status of vocational college students in Changchun City.
Methods:
In this study, 1 282 students from 7 vocational colleges were investigated from June 2018 to December 2018 in Changchun. The questionnaire survey collected information on demographic and lifestyle, as well as sub-health status. Demographic and lifestyle characteristics were analyzed by univariate analysis and were explored associations with sub-health status through binary logistic stepwise regression analysis.
Results:
A total of 195 cases (15.21%) of physical and psychological sub-health were detected. And fifty-seven male students (13.65%) reported physical and psychological sub-health, which was significantly lower than that of female(16.18%)(χ2=8.00, P=0.01). Those who spent more time online, being irregular eating pattern, smokers and drinkers were more likely to report sub-health(P<0.05). Those who exercised frequently and paid more attention to health were less likely to report sub-health(P<0.05). Multivariate analyses showed that the risk of physical and psychological sub-health status increased among irregular diet, smokers and drinkers(OR=1.41, 1.68, 2.03, P<0.05). Frequent exercise and high attention paid to health was associated with lower risk of physical and psychological sub-health(OR=0.24, 0.55, P<0.05).
Conclusion
Sub-health status among vocational college students in Changchun is related to irregular diet, smoking, drinking, infrequent exercise and low attention to health. These results suggest health awareness, health education, as well as healthy lifestyle should be strengthened to improve sub-health status of vocational college students.

BACKGROUND:There is a high morbidity after spinal cord injury, and the therapeutic strategy is limited to early surgical intervention, medication and post-treatment exercise that only can improve the motor function slightly. However, there is no effective cure method. OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of partition-type spinal cord catheter combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels on T8 spinal cord transection damage in rats. METHODS:Fifty rats were randomized into five groups (n=10 per group): group I, T8 spinal cord transection (5 mm) was made in rats with no treatment; group II, the partition-type tube was inserted into the injured site after modeling; group III, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group IV, partition-type tube combined with polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling; group V, partition-type tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels and polyglycolic acid fibers was implanted into the injured site after modeling. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 2 and 12 weeks postoperatively, Basso, Beattie and Bresnahan scores were significantly higher in the groups III and IV than the groups I, II, IV (P < 0.05). At 12 weeks postoperatively, the latency of motor evoked potential below the injury plane was significantly decreased in group V compared with groups I, II, III, IV (P < 0.05). Immunohistochemical results displayed that in the groups III and V, regenerated nerve fibers grew positively and arranged orderly among the tubes, and there was no obvious winding phenomenon. Under transmission electron microscopy, a certain number of myelinated nerve fibers were found as bridges among groups. These findings indicate that the partition-type chitosan tube combined with bone marrow stromal stem cels has a good connection with the injured spinal cord a good connection to restore part of electrophysiological properties, accelerate the axon regeneration, recover the motor function, thereby providing a new direction for the treatment of spinal cord injury. OBJECTIVETo study the effect of Bushen Wenyang Huayu Recipe (BSWYHYR) on nerve growth factor (NGF) and transient receptor potential vanilloid receptor I (TRPV1) in experimental endometriosis (EMT), and to explore its mechanism for treating EMT-induced pain.
METHODSTotally in-bred line BALB/c 75 female mice were divided into five groups, i.e., the sham-operation group, the model group, the high dose BSWYHYR group, the low dose BSWYHYR group, the gestrinone group, 15 in each group. Writhing response was observed in each group. Serum contents of NGF were detected using ELISA. Expression levels of NGF and TRPV1 in uterus and ectopic foci were detected using immunohistochemical staining SP and Western blot. mRNA expression levels of NGF and TRPV1 in uterus and ectopic foci were detected by Real-time PCR.
RESULTSThe serum NGF content in the model group was higher than that in the sham-operation group (P < 0.01), and there was positive correlation between NGF and the writhing frequency (r = 0.574, P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, serum levels of NGF significantly decreased in the 3 treatment groups (P < 0.05). Compared with the sham-operation group, mRNA and protein expression levels of NGF and TRPV1 increased significantly in the model group (P < 0.01). Protein expression levels of NGF and TRPV1 decreased significantly in the 3 treatment groups, when compared with the model group (P < 0.01). mRNA expression levels of NGF and TRPV1 decreased most in the high dose BSWYHYR group (P < 0.01). NGF in uterus and ectopic foci was positively correlated with protein and mRNA expression levels of TRPV1 (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSIONSNGF and TRPV1 participated in the occurrence of pain in EMS. BSWYHYR played an important role in inhibiting EMT-induced pain through reducing the up-regulation of NGF on TRPV1.
