Objective To study the effects of atorvastatin on expression of lysyl oxidase(LOX) in myocardial tissue of rats with diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) and its mechanism. Methods Thirty DCM SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:DCM group, treatment group (atorvastain 2 mg · kg-1 · d-1 by gastric gavage) and β-aminopropionitrile group(β-aminopropionitrile 80 mg · kg-1 · d-1 by gastric gavage),10 cases in each group.Other 10 SD rats were selected as the control group. At the end of week 8,the rats were killed for extracting the myocardial tissue RNA and protein.Expression levels of LOX,MMP-2 and NF-κB mRNAs and proteins in myocardial tissue of DCM rats were measured by RT-PCR and Western blot. Results The expression levels of LOX,MMP-2 and NF-κB mRNAs and proteins in the DCM group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.01),and compared with the DCM group, the expression of BAPN LOX,MMP-2 and NF-κB mRNA and proteins in the treatment group were significantly deceased (P<0.01).Conclusion Atorvastatin can reverse the expression of LOX in myocardial tissue of DCM rat,and then may regulate the expression of MMP-2 and NF-κB.

OBJECTIVE: To provide references for the improvement of categorized management of drugs in China. METHODS: The problems in China's categorized management of drugs were analyzed by drawing a comparison between China and USA in the categorized management of drugs. RESULT & CONCLUSION: China should draw on useful experiences from the developed countries to improve the categorized management of drugs from multi-aspects.

Full-speed development of the primary health care centering on community health service is key to the ongoing health reform in China. Building a new management mechanism for these grass-root health centers is an innovative approach of such a reform as carried out in Zhejiang province. The authors described the present management mechanism in the province, and focused on the specific measures and main outcomes of the nine Group-scale model as used by a district health bureau in Hanzhou since end of 2007. The paper aims at building an ideal model for group-scale management of community health centers, and improving the new city primary health care system centering on community health service.

Objective To explore the relation between the infection of Helicobacter pylori (H .pylori)and colorectal tumor. Methods From January 2012 to January 2013,the medical data of 152 patients with colorectal tumor were collected.According to the findings of colonoscopy examination, the patients were divided into the colorectal adenoma group (84 cases)and the colorectal carcinoma group (68 cases).A total of 88 healthy individuals were also enrolled as control. The differences of H .pylori infection were compared among the colorectal adenoma group, the colorectal carcinoma group and the healthy control group. The distribution of H .pylori infection in different age, gender and nation was analyzed in colorectal tumor group.According to the location, maximum diameter, number, type of pedicle and pathological type of adenoma, the colorectal adenoma group was divided into subgroups and the condition of H .pylori infection was compared among the subgroups.Chi-square test was used in the statistical analysis. Results The positive rates of H .pylori infection of colorectal adenoma group, colorectal carcinoma group and healthy control group were 70.2% (59/84),72.1 % (49/68)and 53.4%(47/88),respectively,where the former two groups were both higher than that of the healthy control group, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =5 .147 and 5 .637,both P <0.05).Regarding the H .pylori infection, there was no difference in age, gender and ethnicity among 152 patients with colorectal tumor (all P > 0.05 ).Among 84 patients with colorectal adenoma, there was no statistical difference in the positive rate of H .pylori infection in different location, maximum diameter, number, type of pedicle and pathological type of adenoma (all P > 0.05).Conclusion H .pylori may have promoting effects on the genesis and development of colorectal tumor.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(2):174-179
Due to substantial morbidity and high complications, diabetes mellitus is considered as the third "killer" in the world. Medicinal fungal polysaccharides, as water-soluble macromolecular substances with low toxicity, exhibit diversified pharmacological actions such as immune regulation, anti-tumor, antivirus, antioxidant, anti-aging, hypoglycemic effect and improving liver and kidney function. In recent year, a number of investigators reported medicinal fungal polysaccharides showed good anti-diabetes and hypoglycemic activity, and their acting mechanisms involved in glycometabolism and β cell function, e. g. promoting glycogen synthesis, promoting glycolysis, inhibiting the activity of α-glucosidase, promoting insulin secretion, increasing insulin sensitivity, enhancing antioxidation. Therefore, the hypoglycemic activity and its mechanisms of action of medicinal fungal polysaccharides showed characteristics of multiple effects, multi-target, and multi-pathway regulation. These finding suggest that medicinal fungal polysaccharides are a promising source for the development of discovery of anti-diabetic agent.
