Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(17):-
Objective To investigate the expression of paired box2(Pax2),proliferation cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) and cell apoptosis in steroid-sensitive and steroid-resistant groups with primary nephrotic syndrome(PNS) and to find out the action of Pax2 expression in PNS with steroid-resistance.Method The expressions of Pax2,PCNA were evaluated by immunohistochemistry and cell apoptosis by fluorescence micoscope. Results Pax2 expression in renal tubule had a positive correlation with PCNA expression in steroid-sensitive group. In steroid-resistant group,Pax2 expression had no correlation with PCNA.Pax2 had a negative correlation with cell apoptosis. Conclusions Pax2 proper expression facilitate PCNA expression and repair tubulointerstitial lesions in steroid-sensitive group.Renal tubular epithelial cell proliferation coordinated with cell apoptosis.Pax2 overexpression in steroid-resistant group lead to the decrease of cell proliferation and cell apoptosis and lead to the severe tubule lesions, which made to glucocorticoid resistance.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2007;32(2):259-263
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the cross-talk between extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and nuclear factor (NF-kappaB) signal transduction pathways in the hepatocytes expressing hepatitis C virus nonstructural protein 3 (HCV NS3).
METHODS:
A cell line QSG7701/NS3, which stably expressed HCV NS3 protein, was constructed by transfecting plasmid pcDNA3.1-NS3 into a human immortalized hepatocyte line QSG7701. Before and after QSG7701/NS3 cells were treated by MEK inhibitor PD98059, the phosphorylation level of ERK and the expression of cyclin D1 protein were detected by Western blot; the DNA binding activities of activator protein 1 (AP-1) and NF-kappaB were evaluated with electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA). Cell cycles were measured by flow cytometry (FCM); the effects of PD98059 on the cell proliferation were determined by MTT assay.
RESULTS:
HCV NS3 protein could up-regulate the phosphorylation of ERK and the expression level of cyclin D1 in QSG7701 cells. PD98059 could inhibit the cell proliferation mediated by HCV NS3 protein, down-regulate the activities of AP-1 and NF-kappaB, and suppress the expression of cyclin D1.
CONCLUSION
The inhibition of ERK can suppress the DNA binding activity of NF-kappaB and the cell proliferation mediated by HCV NS3 protein in a dose-dependent manner. There may be a cross-talk between ERK and NF-kappaB signal transduction pathways, which may exert synergistic action on the proliferation and malignant transformation of hepatocytes.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2017;37(5):661-666
The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between the protein expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and lymph node metastasis (LNM) in papillary thyroid cancer (PTC).VEGF-related articles that had been published until August 2016 were searched from the PubMed,EMBASE,and MEDLINE to identify the risk factors of LNM in PTC.RevMan 5.3 software was used for the meta-analysis.Finally,9 articles met the inclusion criteria and were included in our meta-analysis.LNM was found to be present in 176 of 318 patients (57.8%) with high VEGF expression and in 71 of 159 patients (47.0%) with low VEGF expression. The overall OR was 2.81 (95% confidence interval,1.49-5.29).LNM occurred more frequently in patients with high VEGF expression than in those with low VEGF expression (P=0.001).Heterogeneity was markedly decreased in the subgroup analyses of LNM in terms of the patients' country of origin and the detection methods. Our meta-analysis concluded that the VEGF protein expression is associated with LNM in PTC.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Science. B 2006;7(10):800-805
Octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) modified early Indica rice starch was prepared in aqueous slurry systems using response surface methodology. The paste properties of the OSA starch were also investigated. Results indicated that the suitable parameters for the preparation of OSA starch from early Indica rice starch were as follows: reaction period 4 h, reaction temperature 33.4 degrees C, pH of reaction system 8.4, concentration of starch slurry 36.8% (in proportion to water, w/w), amount of OSA 3% (in proportion to starch, w/w). The degree of substitution was 0.0188 and the reaction efficiency was 81.0%. The results of paste properties showed that with increased OSA modification, the starch derivatives had higher paste clarity, decreased retrogradation and better freeze-thaw stability.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2010;30(1):79-83
OBJECTIVETo provide a new means for forensic examination of difficult samples including old blood stain, hair (containing hair shafts), decomposed samples and old bone tissues using co-amplification of mitochondrial single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).
METHODSWith Identifiler kit, STR genotyping and 18 mtDNA SNPs (16 SNPs in the coding region and 2 in the control region) detection were carried out using multiple amplification with labeled fluorescence and capillary electrophoresis. The two methods were compared for their performance in forensic caseworks such as old blood stain, cast-off cells, degraded muscles, cartilages, teeth and old bones.
RESULTSThe detection rates of STR and mtDNA SNPs were both beyond 80%, but the latter had a greater success rate. The success rates of mtDNA SNPs were significantly greater than those of STR in the examination of such samples as degraded muscles, cartilages, and old bones.
CONCLUSIONMultiplex amplification of mitochondrial DNA SNPs shows a bright prospect in the examination of difficult forensic samples.
