1.Effect of Xiao Chaihu Decoction on the Expression of Cyclooxygenase-2 in Endometriosis Rats
Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 1993;0(02):-
Objective To explore the therapeutic mechanism of Xiao Chaihu Decoction for endometriosis in rats. Methods The rat models of endometriosis were treated with Xiao Chaihu Decoction, Danazol, and Xiao Chaihu Decoction plus Danazol for 4 weeks, respectively. And then cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) expression in endometrium and endometriotic tissue was observed by immunohistochemistry method. Results The expression of COX-2 in the endometriotic tissue was lower than that in endometrium in Xiao Chaihu Decoction group and Xiao Chaihu Decoction plus Danazol group, while the results in Danazol group and control group were opposed to those in the above two groups. Conclusion The mechanism of Xiao Chaihu Decoction for rats endometriosis may be related to the decrease of COX-2 expression in ectopic Endometrium, thus reducing the formation of prostaglandins.

Chinese Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology 2014;(4):376-378
Purpose To investigate the correlation between promoter methylation of RKIP and the clinicopathological features of gastric carcinoma and to analyze the correlation between promoter methylation of RKIP and expression of RKIP. Methods The protein ex-pression and promoter methylation of RKIP were detected in 45 cases of surgically resected gastric carcinoma specimens and 21 cases of corresponding normal tissues using the immunohistchemistry SP method and methylation-specific PCR ( MSP) . Results The positive rate of promoter methylation of RKIP was 48. 89% in gastric carcinoma tissues and 4. 8% in adjacent tissues (P<0. 05). The positive rate of the expression of RKIP protein was 42. 22% in gastric carcinoma tissues and 90. 48% in adjacent tissues (P<0. 05). The pro-tein expression and promoter methylation of RKIP were correlated with the degree of differentiation and lymph node metastasis ( P<0. 05) . Expression of RKIP protein in gastric carcinoma was associated with promoter methylation of RKIP. Conclusions Promoter abnormal methylation of RKIP may be one reason of the deletion of expression of RKIP protein, which correlates with occurrence and development of gastric carcinoma.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2013;29(6):434-436
OBJECTIVE:
To discuss the method of reducing error in estimating postmortem interval (PMI).
METHODS:
Two hundred and fifty-six solved murder cases from 2003 January to 2013 January in Changzhou and Nanjing City were collected, The PMI of all cases was estimated by traditional method and then compared with the real PMI obtained after the cases were solved. The cases were grouped according to the PMI, the accuracy was calculated, and the reasons of suboptimal PMI were analyzed.
RESULTS:
The accuracies of early PMI (less than 12h and 13-24 h) were 90% and 89%, respectively; while the accuracies of late PMI (1-7 d, 1-2 weeks, 3-4 weeks, 1-6 months, 7-12 months and 1-5 years) decreased over time, being 79%, 76%, 83%, 79%, 60% and 50%, respectively. The common reasons of estimating error included improper inference methods, water submerged body, extreme temperature, lack of objective evidence, intentionally abandoned body, and changed or destroyed scene, etc.
CONCLUSION
The multiple index data can reduce the error in estimating PMI.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1994;0(01):-
The objective of this retrospective study was to evaluate the myocardial protection of different periop erative procedures in 100 cases with heart-valve replacement (HVR) between 1980 and 1992. Before Feburary. 1989. HVRs of 48 cases (group Ⅰ) were undertaken with hypothermia (28C=30C) and cold cardioplegic solution (4C. 500ml). under morphine-diazepam-pancuronium anesthesia: following cardiac resuscitation, the procedures were performed including blood transfusion, diuresis, supplemental KCI. inotropic support with dopomine, norepincphrine and aramine. and continuous mechnical ventilation. Since 1989, the procedures were increased to be conducted in 52 cases (group Ⅱ) as followed: A. preoperative managements for achiving the optimum status of cardiac function: 1. oxygen therapy by mask. 2. antirhenmatic treatment for patients aged less than 35 years. 3. oral isosorbide and captopril for pulmonary hypertension, 4, infusion with fructose 1.6-diphusphatc and glucose-insulin-KC1 mixture. 5. clinical dose of digitora and diuretics for cardiac failure; B. methods during surgery: 1. anesthesia was induced with fentanyl, midazolam and pancuronium. and maintained with inhalation of nitrous oxide and infusion of fentanyl at 30-35?g/kg/min, 2, hy pothermia (24C-27C) and cold cardioplegic solution(600-1000ml) 3. immediately before the blockage of aorta was overcome. the artificial perfusion blood pressure was reduced; afterwards, it was gradually recovered, in order to prevent myocardium from injury of reperfusion. 4. intra-and extracoporal circulations worked together over half of blokage time of arota, to improve myoardial oxygen delivery; C. treatments in early postoperative stage: 1. continuous positive end-expiratory pressure ventilation, 2. infusion with magnesium-potassium aspartyl: and the others were similar to those before 1989. As compared with those in group 1. the rate of spontanous restoration of beats increased significantly (P
