Objective To evaluate operative efficacy in regional pancreaticoduodenectomy with mesenteric-portal vein resection and graft reconstruction using iuternal jugular vein for pancreatic head carcinoma.Methods From Jan 2000 to Jan 2003,6 patients with pancreatic head tumors and mesenteric- portal vein involvement underwent regional pancreatieoduodenectomy with mesenteric-portal vein reseetion and vascular reconstruction using internal jugular vein.Results Surgery was successful in all 6 patients. Postoperative pathology revealed that mesenteric vein or portal vein were invaded by tumor in all cases. Survival time ranged from 17 to 49 mouths.The median survival was 23.4 months.Two cases have survived over 3 years and one of them was alive 49 months postoperatively without recurrence.Conclusion The regional pancreaticoduodenectomy with tumor invaded mesenteric-portal vein resection and graft reconstruction by using internal jugular vein renders a longer survival in metastasis-negative patients of pancreatic head adenocarcinoma.

Objective To study the distance of MRI in the practice of correct diagnosed meningioma.Methods 152 cases which have been diagnosed meningioma from MRI scan compared to operation and pathology.16 cases which do not fit the diagnosis from them were analysed.Results There were 10 cases which were misdiagnosed other tumour(6.5%).Other tumour misdiagnosed meningioma were 6 cases(4%).The general misdiagnostic rate was 10.5%.Conclusion Because of complexity in histological structural,equipment function and scan technology,it is inevitable to misdiagnose.If we can pay more attention to the typical character and study the plain film and medical history taking carefully,we could increase correct diagnostic rate of meningioma.

The authors found that a sustainable ecosystem of medical services can be built upon quality resources of the university and its hospitals if the missions, components and roadmap are clarified.

Objective To evaluate results of double eyelid operations with different incisions.Methods 100 patientswere selected randomly from out-patients that accepted double eyelid operation.Half of them were objected to double eyelid operation through a palpebral marginal incision.Incision was designed along the palpebral margin,close to boots of eyelashes.Most of the subcutaneous tissues was cut and removed,and then dermis and tarsal plate were fixed with 5 stitches of suture.About 1-3 mm wide of skin along superior margin was removed reasonably.In another 50 cases.double eyelid operation was performed with conventional incision.Incision was designed 6-8 mm far from the palpebral margin.Most of the subcutaneous tissues was removed.and then dermis and tarsal plate were fixed with 5 stitches of suture.Results Postoperative results were evaluated 5 days and 1 month after operation respectively.Postoperative double eyelid shapes were all satisfled in two groups.Swollen eyedids and scar were more inconspicuous in the cases with the palpebral-marginal incision without impairment on eyelashes.Conclusion Compared with double eyelid operation with conventional incision,blepharoplasty with palpebral margin incision has the same results but with lighter impairment,milder hydropsia and more inconspicuous scar.The key point of this procedure is the fixation of dermis and tarsal plate,keeping a good radian of double eyelid line.

Two new sesquiterpenoids, named as tyromols A and B (1 and 2), were isolated from cultures of basidiomycete Tyromyces chioneus, along with two previously reported 15-hydroxy-6 α, 12-epoxy-7β, 10αH, 11βH-spiroax-4-ene (3) and agripilol C (4). Compounds 1-4 were separated and purified by silica gel, RP-18, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis including IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR experiments.

Activated sludge is a complicated microbial ecosystem that has diversity. Based on the diversity,microorganisms are selected by acclimation condition:the survival of the fittest,otherwise eliminate through selection or contest. Moreover,microorganisms in activated sludge acclimatize themselves to acclimation conditions. In the process the ecosystem distributes and adjusts microbial niche over again. The theory of "selection and acclimatization" may be used to explain the mechanism of activated sludge acclimation. So then,original sludge,wastewater quality and treating process are major influencing factors for activated sludge acclimation.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and the microsurgical treatment of intramedullary hemangioblastoma in cervical spinal cord.Methods The signs of MRI,and the results of operations were analysed in 26 patients with the tumors.Rusults The tumors can be classified into two types:Solid type (14 cases)and cystic type(12 eases).All the tumors underwent total removal and were all hemangioblastoma confirmed by histopathologic examinations.Postoperatively,neurological status were improved in 17 patients, remained in 7 cases and worse in 2 cases.Conclusion For intrameduUary hemangioblastoma of cervical spinal cord MRI is of significant importance in the diagnosis of localization and the nature of the tumors which is conductive to selecting appropriate operative methods.There is high risk in operating at cervical section,but microsurgical total resection is the optimal method to stop the development of the clinical presentation.Opera- tive methods varied with the different typer of the tumor.It is the most important principal that dissection is performed along the correct interface and the tumor should be removed en bloc after it is devascularized.

BACKGROUND:Searching for a porous three-dimensional (3D) scaffold holding good porosity, mechanical property and biocompatibility has become a hot spot, in which, 3D printing technology also plays apart. OBJECTIVE:To prepare silk fibroin/col agen scaffolds using 3D printing technology and detect its performance. METHODS:Silk fibroin/col agen scaffolds were constructed using 3D printing technology, and the silk fibroin/col agen mass ratio was 4:2 (group A) and 4:4 (group B), respectively. The porosity, water absorption expansion rate, mechanical properties and pore size of the composite scaffolds were detected. The passage 3 rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s were seeded onto the two scaffolds. The cel proliferation was detected using MTT assay at 13 days of culture, and the cel morphology was observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and scanning electron microscope at 14 days of culture. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The porosity, pore size, and water absorption expansion rate of group A were significantly larger than those of group B (P<0.05), while the elasticity modulus showed no significant difference between groups. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s on the two scaffolds increased gradual y with time, especial y in the group A (P<0.05). Abundant cel s distributed evenly in the group A, while few cel s distributed unevenly in the group B. These results suggest that the 3D printed scaffolds composed by silk fibroin/col agen mass ratio of 4:2 holds good physicochemical performance and cytocompatibility.

Objective To explore the theory of mind (TOM) between adolescent with schizophrenia and normal adolescent from hot TOM and cool TOM.Methods 37 adolescent schizophrenias and 25 normal adolescents were interviewed with the Chinese version of YONI task, Reading the Mind in the eyes test and series of tests,then analyzed with adolescent schizophrenias cognitive features.Results ① Compared with the control group (83.16± 10.07),the scores of YONI task in the adolescents with schizophrenia (74.30 ± 11.44) had statistically significant difference (t=-2.983,P＜0.05),mainly the statistically significant difference existed in the groups in cool and hot TOM.②The differences between positive subtype (69.85± 12.66) and negative subtype (78.18±8.92) in scores were significant(t=-2.104,P＜0.05),especially in the hot TOM.③In Reading the Mind in the eyes test,there was no statistically significant difference in scores(t=0.982,P＞0.05) between the control group (17.59±3.13) and the group of adolescents with schizophrenia(18.42±2.98).Conclusion The adolescents with schizophrenia damage in hot TOM and cool TOM.The adolescents with schizophrenia in positive subtype are worse than the negative subtype,especially in the hot TOM.
