1.Clinical observation of traumatic ankle arthritis with orthopedics lotion on 60 cases.

Observing the clinical curative effect of orthopedics lotion to treat traumatic ankle arthritis, the outpatient department of orthopedics in Guang'anmen Hospital collected 60 cases who were diagnosed as traumatic ankle arthritis. The cases who already met the inclusion criteria, were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases) and control group (30 cases). Thirty patients in treatment group were received fumigation treatment with orthopedics lotion; 30 patients in control group were treated by intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate. After 5 weeks treatment, the effects on the both groups would be observed and analysed. Baird-Jackson scoring system was used to assess the overall curative effect. Visual analogue scales (VAS) was used to assess analgesic effect. BJ scores of pre-treatment and post-treatment in both the treatment group and the control group were compared, P <0O. 01, significantly different; and the BJ scores after treatment of two groups were compared by paired t-test, the t value is 1. 76, there was no significant difference between two groups. Both of the treatments were effective, but there was no significant difference in overall curative effect between the two kinds of treatment. The VAS scores after treatment of two groups were compared by paired t-test, the t value was 2. 282, and there was a significant difference between two groups (P <0. 05). The analgesic effect shown in treatment group was better than the control group. The results suggest that: orthopedics lotion is a effective way to treat traumatic ankle arthritis, and it has significant effect on analgesic.

2.Security assessment of surface pulsed electrical stimulation in big animals

BACKGROUND:At present, electrical stimulation technology has become a hot topic, but its effect on body’s electrical activity remains unclear. Moreover, previous studies on this aspect mainly focused on smal-sized animals. OBJECTIVE:Under the premise without prejudice to cardiac electrical activity, to find the maximum pulse voltage and frequency of electrostimulation that is taken on the liver area of pigs. METHODS:Three healthy male Rong-Chang pigs were obtained. Pulse electrical stimulator electrodes were fixed on right lobe of the surface projection of corresponding liver area. Fixed electrical stimulation parameters were set, including pulse width 10 ms, square wave, stimulation time 1 hour. They received voltage tolerance experiment between 5 V and 100 V and a frequency tolerance experiment between 1 Hz and 5 Hz. A detail record of pigs’ electrocardiogram, discomfort reaction and changes in life behavior of the pigs were obtained. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:During voltage tolerance experiment, high- and low-voltage electrical stimulation pulse was positively associated with heart rate increment. When the voltage was greater than 35 V, mild arrhythmia such as sinus arrhythmia and ventricular premature beats appeared, without malignant arrhythmia or death. When the voltage was greater than 60 V, qRs formation induced by electrical stimulation wave occurred. In frequency tolerance experiment, when frequency was greater than 2 Hz, arrhythmia appeared, no malignant arrhythmia was found. Pulsed electrical stimulation can induce the formation of qRs wave. Above findings suggest that the appropriate frequency and voltage of pulse electrical stimulation are 2 Hz and 35 V. At > 35 V voltage or > 2 Hz frequency, pulsed electrical stimulation on the liver area can cause arrhythmia, mostly benign arrhythmia.

5.The value of serum and urine trypsinogen activation peptide in the diagnosis and severity predicting of acute pancreatitis

Objective To explore the value of trypsinogen activation pepfide (TAP) levels in blood plasma and urine in the diagnosis of acute pancreafitis at early stage and severity predicting combined with the CT results. Method Sixty-five patients with acute pancreatitis who scanned with enhanced CT were di-vided into mild acute pancreatitis (MAP) group and severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) group according to the CT results, 29 patients with acute abdomen except for acute pancreatitis were as control group. TAP levels in blood plasma and urine were measured in all patients. Results At the time of 6, 12 and 24 h after admis-sion, the level of blood plasma TAP in SAP group ( > 9.0 nmol/L) was significantly higher than that in MAP group(< 3.5 nmol/L), there were significant differences between SAP group and MAP group or control group (P<0.05). And the median urinary TAP in SAP group (102.8, 78.2, 52.3 nmol/L)was significantly higher than those in MAP group (32.5, 28.7, 25.6 nmol/L)and control group(12.6, 12.2, 11.5 nmol/L), there were significant differences among three groups (P<0.05). At the time of 3, 5 d after admission, there was no significant difference in TAP levels in blood plasma and urine among three groups (P>0.05). Conclusions Early dynamic detection of TAP levels in blood plasma and urine is of higher diagnostic value and predictive value for acute pancreatitis, which is of benefit in the early diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis.

7.Influence of estrogen on metabolism and antioxidative functions in old castrated female rats

AIM: To investigate the influence of diethylstilbestrol on metabolism and antioxidative functions in old castrated female rats in order to elucidate the physiological and pharmacological effects of estrogen therapy in climacteric. METHODS: The old female rats had been castrated, liver drug-metabolizing enzyme activities and antioxidative indexes were measured in rats treated with and without diethylstilbestrol (100 ?g?kg -1 , qd?40 d, ig). RESULTS: The activities of microsomal NADPH-Cyt C reductase, benzphetamine N-demethylase, aminopyrine N-demethylase, glutathione S-transferase, and the contents of microsomal cytochrome P450, cytochrome b_5 and homogenate glutathione remarkable decreased in the liver of castrated female rats. Meanwhile, an increase of liver malondialdehyde content was also observed. Treatment with diethylstilbestrol could reverse the changes of above indices except for cytochrome b_5. CONCLUSION: The decreased metabolism and antioxidative functions are related to the lower level of estrogen in old castrated female rats. Estrogen plays a significant role in keeping normal metabolism and antioxidative capacities of the liver.
8.The research progress of hepatic stellate cell's apoptosis signaling pathway and the relative drugs

Liver fibrosis can be caused by chronic liver injury arising from various etiological factors.The activation of the hepatic stellate cell(HSC) is the central event in liver fibrosis,the apoptosis of which was the initiating factor for the reversal process.The apoptosis of HSC is very complicated.The signaling pathways lack of enough research in regulating and controlling and activating HSC's apoptosis.The apoptosis pathways as known currently mainly include mitochondrial pathway,death receptor pathway and non-death receptor pathway.Based on these signaling pathways,selectively inducing cell death of activated HSCs is becoming the new antifibrotic treatment.This review focuses on the new progress of HSC's apoptosis signaling pathways,and summarizes the drugs that have the effect of inducing HSC apoptosis.
9.Application on improved small incision extracapsular cataract extraction in the sight-regaining program

AIM: To investigate the clinic efficacy and operation safety of improved small incision extracapsular cataract extraction in the sight-regaining program.
METHODS: Totally 82 cases ( 82 eyes ) included in the sight-regaining program of the cataract patients were underwent small incision extracapsular cataract extraction conbined with improved technology ( anterior capsule staining, continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis, auxiliary incision ) , postoperative visual recovery and operative complications were observed.
RESULTS: Postoperative visual acuity: uncorrected visual acuity when out of hospital: ≥0. 3 were 67 cases (82%);1wk after dismissed from hospital:≥0. 3 were 76 cases (93%), admist which ≥0. 8 were 45 cases (55%). There is no serious complication such as posterior capsule rupture, zonular dialysis, etc. in the operation.CONCLUSION: Combined use of improved technology can increase operation safety of small incision extracapsular cataract extraction.
10.The prevalence of hyperuricemia and its relationship to blood lipids in a population for routine check-up in Nanning, Guangxi province

In 4 602 subjects for routine check-up,blood uric acid,total cholesterol,triglyceride,high density lipoprotein-cholesterol,and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol were determined.Results showed that the overall prevalence of hyperuricemia in Nanning,Guangxi was 19.8% (28.8% in male,9.4% in female).Blood uric acid and lipids in hyperuricemia group were higher than those in normal uric acid group(all P<0.01).Serum uric acid had a positive correlation with total cholesterol,triglyceride,low density lipoprotein-cholesterol,but it was negatively correlated with serum high density lipoprotein-cholesterol.The prevalence of hypercholesterolemia was 30.8%,and that of hypertriglyceridemia was 22.2%.Logistic multi-factor regression analysis showed that men,high total cholesterol,triglyceride,and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol could be independent risk factors for hyperuricemia,and that high density lipoprotein-cholesterol was a protective factor.The prevalence of hyperuricemia in population of Nanning,Guangxi during health examination is high.Hyperuricemia is closely associated with dyslipidemia.Timely intervention of hyperuricemia can reduce the related diseases effectively.
