ObjectiveTo explore the distribution and characteristics of health risk behaviors between the male and female college freshmen in the medicine and science,and to provide evidence for appropriate health intervention measures.MethodsA questionnaire investigation was performed on college students'health risk behaviors among 1019 freshmen from medical and science college in urban area of Harbin.Results (1)There were statistically significant among the different gender in difference of risky behaviors except playing video games,net surfing,considered suicide,drug abuse and a few activities outside the 60 minutes every day (P ＜ 0.01 ).(2)Medical male risk behavior of the frequency(56.4％,19.2％,12.7％ and 47.1％ )higher than that of science and engineering male(35.6％,5.2％,1.6％ and 17.3％ )in trying to smoking,current smoking,sexual behavior and breakfast skipping.Recent medical males drinking rate was 85.3％ higher than male of science and engineering 72.2％.The incidence of female science and engineering students,respectively( 89.3％,50.8％ and 38.5％ ) than female medical students (72.4％,36.9％ and 8.0％ ) in trying to drinking and recent drinking and breakfast skipping.ConclusionThe risk behaviors of college freshmen were prevalent.The frequency of risk behaviors are different among the College Freshmen in different genders and with different major,respectively.Therefore,it is necessary to take measures for intervention.

Objective To establish normal reference intervals of plasma and urine neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) in children′s hospital.Methods A total of 183 fresh EDTA anticoagulant samples and 125 fresh urine in healthy children were collected from May 2014 to October 2014.According to the CLSI C28-A2 ,the unilateral upper limit 95% was established the normal reference value in different age group.Results There was significant difference in four groups (P<0.05).The normal reference intervals of plasma NGAL in healthy children:0 to <7 months;<291.28 μg/L;7 months to <5 years old;<150.87 μg/L;5 years old to <9 years old:<127.93 μg/L;9 years old to ≤16 years old:<161.74 μg/L;the normal reference intervals of healthy children urine NGAL:0 to <7 months:<257.31 μg/L;7 months to <5 years old:<201.55 μg/L;5years old to <9 years old:<197.69 μg/L;9 years old to ≤16 years old:<151.46 μg/L.Plasma and urine NGAL results in neonatal group were higher than the other three groups.Conclusion The normal reference intervals of plasma and urine NGAL in children′s hospital is established.this could provide clinical evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of acute renal injury in pediatric patients.

Objective: To investigate the cognitive impairment features in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI) and vascular cognitive impairment-no dementia(VCI-ND).Methods:Sixteen normal elders,10 patients with aMCI and 12 patients with VCI-ND were recruited.The normal elders were selected from communities in Shanghai,while the aMCI and VCI-ND patients were selected from outpatient clinic.All participants ranged in age of 50～80 years,with education level of junior middle school or above,and they completed cranial CT or MRI and a series of neuropsychological tests.Results:In the three memory tests,aMCI group performed worst.The scores of both aMCI and VCI-ND groups were lower than that of the normal elders.For example,the delayed recall scores of the Rey-Osterrich complex figure test in the three groups were(18.8?9.5)(normal),(5.6?5.6)(aMCI) and(9.6?7.0)(VCI-ND)(P

Objective To investigate the effects of curcumin on H2O2-induced the production of nitric oxide(NO) and reactive oxygen species(ROS) in mouse embryo-fibroblast.Methods Macrophage were collected in abdominal cavity of 6-8 weeks Kunming mouse,cultured macrophage(2?108 L-1) were divided into control group and curcumin groups randomly.Macrophage in H2O2 group were added into a single bolus of H2O2(1 mmol?L-1) for 30 min,macrophage in curcumin group were preincubated with different concentration of curcumin for 2 h followed by a 30 min incubation with 1 mmol?L-1 H2O2 and macrophage in control group were added into the same volume(0.1 mL) of 9 g?L-1 so-dium chloride.Immunocytochemistry was used to measure the contents of inducible nitric-oxide synthase(iNOS),NO production was determined by Griess reactive,ROS was determined by DCFH-DA Fluorescence proe.Results The production of NO in control group was little.The production of NO in H2O2 group markly highter than that in control group(P

As a kind of additive in feed of monogastric animals, the application of natural phytase is limited due to its disadvantages. In this paper, the strategies of phytse reform was introduced. Furthermore, the research and progress on protein engineering of feed phytase was reviewed, including phytase over-expression, phytase thermostability, catalytic efficiency and optimum pH.

The COI gene as DNA barcode was used to identify the Manis pentadactyla and its adulterants in order to provide a scientific basis for the molecular identification of M. pentadactyla. Genomic DNA was extracted from experimental samples using the DNA extraction kit. The COI genes were amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequenced bi-directionally. Obtained sequences were assembled using the CodonCode Aligner. The neighbor-joining (NJ) tree was constructed by MEGA 6.0. The results indicated that COI sequences were successfully amplified and NJ trees results indicated that M. pentadactyla and its adulterants can be easily identification. Therefore, the COI gene is an efficient barcode for identification of M. pentadactyla and its adulterants,which will provide a new technique for the market supervision.

Objective To investigate the clinical features,treatment response and prognosis in children with Takayasu′s arteritis(TA) in order to improve the understanding of TA.Methods A retrospective study of 10 children with TA was performed.All of them were admitted and diagnosed in Peking University First Hospital from Jan.1998 to Oct.2008.The clinical features,laboratory tests,imaging modalities,treatment response and prognosis were all collected and evaluated.Results There were 3 boys and 7 girls in the 10 patients with TA,and the ratio of male to female was 12.3.The onset was from 4 months to 9 years old,with average age at 5.5 years old.The average duration of diagnosis was 7.6 months.The incidences of hypertension,vascular bruits,albuminuria,convulsion were present in 100%,100%,70% and 40%,respectively.The clinical types included typeⅡ(60%),type Ⅲ(10%) and type Ⅳ(30%).The acute phase inflammatory indices of activity such as erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP) and white blood cell(WBC) were not evidently increased.Tuberculosis infection was found in 6 out of 10 patients and anti-tuberculosis treatment was performed.Six patients were treated with steroids and 3 cases of them were also given immunosuppressives cyclophosphamide or methotrexate.Three of the 10 patients received anti-hypertensive and vasodilator.Two patients received percutaneous translurminal angioplasty and 1 patient received nephrectomy.One patient died of renal failure,heart failure and shock.Conclusions The patients with TA had high prevalence of tuberculosis infection,diagnosis as often late because of lack of specific clinical features at the acute inflammatory period.When organic ischaemia occurred,treatment response was usually unsatisfactory.Patients with multi-systemic and multi-viscera lesions should have comprehensive examination,especially for those with hypertension,pulseless and vascular bruits,in order to rule out TA.Early ultrasonography,computed tomography and magnetic resonnance image methods are valued in eariler diagnosis and they are the key factors to improve prognosis.

To study photosynthetic characteristics and its influencing factors in leaves of medicinal plant Mirabilis himalaica, and provide an evidence for guiding artificial planting and improving the quantity. The light-response and diurnal photosynthesis course of leaves at the booting stages of 1-3 year old M. himalaica were measured with LI-6400 system. The Results showed that the light response curves were fitted well by non rectangle hyperbola equation (R2 > or = 0.98). The values of the maximum photosynthetic rate (Pmax) and light use efficiency of three-year old M. himalaica leaves were higher than those of 1-2 year old individuals. The diurnal variation of net photosynthetic rate (Pn) and stomatal conductance (Gs) of 2-3 year old M. himalaica were typical double-peak curves determinately regulated by stomatal conductance. However, transpiration rate (Tr) of 1-3 year old plants leaves were single-peak curve, which was self-protection of harm reduction caused by the higher temperature at noontime. Correlation analysis showed that the changes between photosynthetic active radiation (PFD), air temperature (T ) and Pn, were significant positive related. Therefore, M. himalaica is a typical sun plant, which should be planted under the sufficient sunshine field and prolong the growing ages suitably in order to improve the yield.

Objective To study the effect of zoledronate (ZOL) on Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase Ⅱ δ (CaMK Ⅱ δ) and down-stream gene expressions during osteoclast differentiation.Methods Mouse osteoclast precursors RAW264.7 cells were divided into the control group and ZOL group.The cells in both groups were induced with 50μg/L receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand (RANKL) and were harvested on 5 d,while the cells in ZOL group were also simultaneously treated with 1 × 10-6 mol/L ZOL for 2 d.Five days later,the cells were harvested and examined osteoclastogenesis,as well as gene expressions of CaMK Ⅱ δ,nuclear factor of activated T-cells cytoplasmic 1 (NFATc1),tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) and cell-sarcoma receptor coactivator (c-Src).Results The number of TRAP positive multinuclear osteoclasts,number and size of dentin absorption lacunae and area in the ZOL group were (20.0±3.2),(18.0±4.2) and (6 335.3± 1 043.2)μm2 respectively,which were significantly lower than (36.0 ± 8.4),(37.2 ± 5.0) and (11 636.2 ± 3 661.1) μm2 in the control group and decreased by 44.4 ％,51.6 ％ and 45.6 ％ respectively (P＜0.01).ZOL also significantly inhibited the gene expressions of CaMK Ⅱ δ,NFATc1,TRAP and c-Src,and the mRNA levels of these genes were decreased by 44.1％,49.0％,53.8％ and 49.6％ respectively,the protein level were decreased by 43.5 ％,32.2 ％,45.5 ％ and 48.0 ％ respectively.The immunofluorescent cytochemistry detection results showed the fluorescence intensity of CaMK Ⅱ δ,NFATc1,TRAP and c-Srcin in the ZOL group was significantly weakened when compared with the control group.Conclusion ZOL could significantly inhibit the osteoclast formation and bone absorption function,and down-regulates gene expressions of CaMK Ⅱ δ,NFATc1,TRAP and c-Src in osteoclast differentiation.
