Objective:To explore the quality on 64-slice CT coronary angiography with different injection rates of contrast agent. Methods: 120 patients who have been diagnosed or suspected coronary atherosclerosis were selected in our hospital and were randomly divided into group A(4.5ml/s), group B(5.0ml/s) and group C(5.5ml/s), with 40 cases in each group. We observed CT attenuation values, image quality, and adverse reactions of the three groups. Results: There were significant differences in the ascending aorta, descending aorta, left main, left anterior descending artery, circumflex artery and the right coronary artery and other parts of the CT attenuation value (F=6.838,F=4.002,F=7.261,F=5.992,F=8.281,F=5.790,F=6.126;P<0.05). In image quality, the group B with 34 cases was significantly better than group A with 12 cases and group C with 20 cases (x2=9.632,x2=5.475;P<0.05). The rate of adverse reactions was 30%, 7.5% and 22.5% with 12 cases in group A, 3 cases in group B and 9 cases in group C. The rate in group B was significantly lower than in group A and group C (x2=12.985,x2=10.236;P<0.05).Conclusion: Through the application of the same concentration of the contrast agent and scan conditions to coronary angiography, we can get a good vascular enhancement and high quality imaging when the injection rate of contrast medium is 5ml/s, while incidence of adverse reactions may be reduced.

Objective To discuss the effects, indications and methods of π-shaped locking com-pression plates plus open reduction for Barton fractures. Methods From January 2006 to January 2007, 21 cases of Barton fractures were treated by open reduction from dorsal incision and fixation by π-shaped locking compression plates. Of them, 14 also had bone grafting and 6 had protection by a plaster brace. Results Follow-ups for 6 to 18 (average, 10) months showed all the patients got bone union. The differences between preoperative and postoperative measurements in palmar inclination, ulnar deviation and relative length of distal radius were statistically significant (P < 0.05). At the last follow-up, the affected wrist showed no significant difference from the opposite side in dorsal extension, palmar flexion and ulnar deviation (P > 0.05) except in ulnar deviation (P < 0.05). According to the improved Gartland and Werkey grading system, the wrist function was evaluated as excellent in 15 eases, good in 4, and fair in 2. The good to excellent rate was 90. 5%. Conclusion Open reduction from dorsal incision and fixation by π-shaped locking compression plate is an effective treatment for Barton fractures.

Objective: To establish an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)for erythropoietin(EPO) in serum, and observe its clinical application value thereof. Methods: Prepare the EPO polyclonal antibody, wash the plate with isopropyl alcohol, and then choose the suitable concentration of the antibody, enzyme labeled antibody, and antigen. After the reaction, check the sensitivity, recovery, specificity and stability of the method. The serum samples of anaemia and breast carcinoma individuals were detected. The results of radioimmunodetection were compared with that of normal control group. Results: The immo-assay plate showed strong adherence to proteins. The optimal concentrations of the antibody, enzyme labelled antibody and antigen were 1∶1 000, 1∶6 000 and 1∶800 separately. The sensitivity was 0.46 U/L. The cross-reaction with growth hormone and ferritin was low. The mean recoveries of samples with high and low concentrations were 96.3%, 97.3% respectively. The coefficients of variation of intra-assay and inter-assay were just 8.31% and 7.82%, and the stability was good. The EPO levels were higher in anaemia and breast carcinoma groups than that of normal group. There was no significant difference between the results of the radioimmunodetection and ELISA. Conclusion: The double-antibody sandwich ELISA method was established for EPO in serum, which had certain clinical application value.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
To obtain the criterion of Laser induced Autofluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy in the differentiation of normal lung tissue and lung cancer and study the feasibility of LIF spectroscopy in the diagnosis of lung cancer, the LIF spectra of normal lung and lung cancer in 42 surgical specimens have been measured with a detecting system which consists of an YAG laser(wavelength 355nm) and an optical multichannel analyzer(OMA). Spectroscopic differences between normal lung and cancerous tissues have been found which could be used as a criterion to distinguish from them . The pathological examinations were done to compare with the criterion. The results showed:① The location of the principal spectral peaks of the normal lung tissue (470.8?6.3)nm and lung cancer ( 463.7 ?4.8)nm are different( P

BACKGROUND: Bone morphogenetic protein-2 has been previously proved to not only stimulate and different bone tissue-derived cells, but also induce differentiation from cell strain into osteoblasts; however, direct application of bone morphogenetic protein has poor effects on repairing bone defects. OBJECTIVE: To study new bone formation in a rabbit model of avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH) following recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2)/fibrin sealant (FS) implantation combining with core decompression. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized controlled animal experiment was performed at the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Chinese People’s Armed Police Force from January 2005 to December 2007. MATERIALS: Composite was made by rhBMP-2 and FS, and the final concentration of rhBMP-2 was 1 mg/L. METHODS: Animal models of ANFH were made by injecting hormone. The rabbits were randomly divided into three groups, including rhBMP-2/FS implantation group, rhBMP-2 implantation group, and core decompression alone group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Signal changes of femoral head and sclerotin were detected using MRI method; new bone formation was observed under optic microscopy; calcium content was measured using atomic absorrtion spectrophotometer. RESULTS: MRI indicated that new bone replaced primary bone defect channel at week 8 after rhBMP-2/FS implantation. A few of new bones were observed in the rhBMP-2 implantation group, and fiber tissue was still observed in the core decompression alone group. Morphology suggested that a great quantity of mature bone trabecula and plate-shaped bone replaced primary bone defect channel at week 8 after rhBMP-2/FS implantation. Bone defect was decreased in the rhBMP-2 implantation group, accompanying with a few of bone trabecula and blood capillary but a large quantity of fiber tissues. At week 8 after core decompression alone, bone defect was decreased, and a few of new bones were observed. Fiber tissue still existed in the center, and any bone tissue did not fill in it. Calcium content in the rhBMP-2/FS implantation group was greater than rhBMP-2 implantation group and core decompression alone group (P

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2008;17(3):172-174
Objective The effects of TPT on the induction of apoptosis of leukemia cells and the regulation of c-myc in mRNA and protein level. Methods RT-PCR method was adopted to examine the expressions of the genes and immune histochemistry for the proteins of c-myc in HL-60 cells treated with TPT of optimal concentration and time. Results After HL-60 cells by TPT of 0.15 μmol/L for 12 h, the expression of c-myc mRNA decreased markedly assayed by RT-PCR. There was a significant difference between the TPT group and the control group(0.17±0.03 vs 1.11±0.25, P <0.05), expressive c-myc protein decreased assayed by evidently immunohistochemistry. The percentage of positive cells expressing c-myc protein was a significant difference between the TPT treated group and the control group (19.67 % vs 68.33 %, P<0.05). Conclusion TPT down-regulates endogenic c-myc mRNA and c-myc protein in HL-60 cells.
