Objective To investigate the cholesterol-reducing effects and tolerance property of Lactobacteria isolated from Kefir grain in vitro. Method In imitating gastroenteric environments,such as low pH (2.0～4.0) and high bile salt concentration (0.2%-0.4%),the survival counts of Lactobacteria was carried out and cholesterol-reducing effects were studied. Results The strains of KTX,KS4 and KL1 had more survival counts in eaperimental condition and KTX. KS4 were isolated as more tolerant strains to gastro-enteric environments and could reduce cholesterol in vitro. Conclusion Lactobacteria isolated from Kefir grain had tolerant properties and cholesterol-reducing effects in vitro.

Objective To investigate the cholesterol-reducing effects of complex bacteria leaven (CBL) from Kefir Grain milk yoghurt in experimental hypercholesterolemia rats. Method Isolated three strains of Lactobacilli from Kefir Grain milk yoghurt with high activity of bile salf hydrolase and cholesterol-reducing effect and prepare the CBL. Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups: control group, hypercholesterolemia model group, and experimentalⅠ, Ⅱ groups according to serum TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C concentrations. Control group was fed basic feed and three other groups were fed high fat feed. Experimental groups were given i.g. the test substances for 8 w, and control and model groups were given water, then serum TC, TG , HDL-C and LDL-C concentrations were determined at the end of the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th w. Results Compared with model group, serum TC, TG and LDL-C in experimentalⅠgroup and Ⅱgroup were significantly decreased and HDL-C increased after 8 w of treatments respectively, groupⅠ better than groupⅡ. Conclusion Complex bacteria leaven from Kefir Grain show significant effects of cholesterol-reducing effect in experimental hypercholesterolemia rats.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is a rare progressive motor neuron disease.Sialorrhoea is one of the common symptoms which influenced the patient's quality of life.This paper reviewed the treatments for sialorrhoea in ALS patients.

Tumor is a complex systemic disease, involving abnormalities at multiple levels, such as DNA, RNA, protein and metabolite. According to the central rule, the derived omics methods are genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabonomics. In the past few decades, there have been remarkable achievements in the single omics study of tumor, but the exact mechanism of tumor development is still unclear. In order to reveal the process of tumorigenesis and development in a more systematic way, the research of multiomics came into being, which promoted the transformation of tumor research paradigm from single parameter model to multi parameter system model. The integration of multi-omics methods is expected to clarify the mechanism of tumor occurrence and development, find biomarkers with diagnostic, prognostic and predictive performance, explore new treatment targets, and finally achieve predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM). This paper reviews the research methods and progress of different omics techniques in tumor research, especially emphasizes the importance and scientific value of the integration of multiple omics techniques in tumor research and clinical related results.

Objective To prepare monoclonal antibody(McAb) against human tissue kallikrein (HK) and develop an ELISA kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of human tissue kallikrein in urine. Methods To generate a monoclonal antibody specific for TK, the synthetic TK peptide consisting of 12 amine acids(12P), was fused to keyhole limpet hemocyanin(KLH) and used for immunization. Using hybridoma screening, monoclonal secreting cell lines were identified and used to generate ascites in BALB/c mouse. Antibody was purified by affinity column chromatography. 12% SDS-PAGE and Western blot were used to visualize the purified antibody. This kit employs indirect competitive ELISA technique and BiotinAvidin System. 12P was fused to bovine serum albumin(BSA) and has been pre-coated onto a microplate at first. Standards and samples were added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated McAb croplate well. A TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminating by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of tissue kallikrein in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. Results 8 hybridoma cell lines secreting mAbs special to HK,SDS-PAGE and Western blot demonstrated successful preparing and purification of McAb( 100% ). The linearity of this ELISA kit is demonstrated(r =0. 990). The range of detection of the assay is 0.008 μg/ml to 0. 5 μg/ml. The assay remained stable, with no change in the values measured, over five cycles of freezing and thawing. Conclusion 8 McAbs against HK have been prepared successfully and possess high titer and specificity. The development of an ELISA kit for detecting HK can meet the needs of detection of HK in urine samples.

The paper reviewed clinical reports on the treatment of hypermenorrhea, menostaxis, and uterine bleeding with Ancong Decoction and modified Ancong Decoction. Although there were few reports concerned with clinical usage, Ancong Decoction has sound therapeutic effects, with more than 90% effective rate.

Objective To carry out the quality control testing and evaluation for three digital mammography systems.Methods The performance of three digital mammography systems was assessed by applying methods recommended in the European guidelines for quality assurance in breast cancer screening and diagnosis and Chinese specification for testing of quality control in X-ray mammography.The performance of X-ray generator of three digital mammography systems were tested and evaluated.CDMAM 3.4 phantom with four different thickness(30,40,50,60 mm) were exposured in DR,PCM,and CR system,respectively.The average glandular dose (AGD) value was measured and image quality figure (IQF) analysis was performed in each thickness.Results The X-ray machine performance of DR and CR was in accordance with existing standard,however the standard was inappropriate to evaluate part of X-ray machine performance of PCM system.The AGDs for system DR were 1.20,1.42,1.75 and 2.20 mGy for 30,40,50 and 60 mm PMMA thickness,respectively.The respective AGDs for system PCM and CR were 0.82,1.19,1.33,1.70 mGy and 0.59,0.88,1.47,2.19 mGy.For the same phantom thickness sequence,the IQFs were 21.36,21.57,27.25 and 30.58 for system DR,28.02,29.10,35.90,and 41.24 for system PCM,whereas they were 39.78,39.30,43.85 and 48.08 for system CR.Conclusions The AGDs of all three systems were in accordance with the values recommended in European guideline.The AGD and IQF could provide an effective way for performance assessment and constancy checks for digital mammography systems.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of total flavones of Epimedium leptorrhizum (YYH-C) on osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats.

METHODOvariectomized female rats were randomly divided into the model group, YYH-C lower, middle and high dose (0.7, 1.4, 2.8 g x kg(-1)) groups, the positive drug Bujiale (0.15 mg x kg(-1)) group, and the sham group. The rats were orally ad-ministrated with drugs for three months. Parathyroid hormone (PTH), procollagen I N-terminal peptide (PINP), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), calcium (Ca) and phosphrous (P) in serum were detected. Femur bones and vertebrae bones of left side were collected to determined bone metrological indexes, including bone mineral density (BMD), bone Ca, and bone ash weight/dry weight percentage. Femur bones of right side were collected to for a morphological observation of bone.

RESULTCompared with the sham group, the model group showed significantly higher PTH and ALP content but obviously lower PINP and Ca content. The three YYH-C 3 groups could resist the decrease of PINP. Specifically, low and middle dose groups could remarkably inhibit the increase of PTH, and the high dose group could increase the Ca content in serum, but without significant effect on the rise in ALP. There was no significant difference in P content in serum in each group. BMD, ash weight/dry weight percentage, Ca and P content of the model group were significantly lower than those in the sham group. The high dose YYH-C group could significantly increase BMD. All of the three YYH-C groups could notably increase ash weight/dry weight percentage and Ca, P content in femur bones and vertebrae bones. YYH-C could significantly increase average thickness, area, area percentage of bony trabeculae, cortical bone area percentage of femoral shaft and the number of osteoblasts on the surface of bony trabeculae, and decrease the number of osteoclasts.

CONCLUSIONYYH-C can effectively control the bone mass loss of rats with ovariectomy-induced osteoporosis, prevent the changes in bone microstructure, and inhibit bone absorption, so as to resist high turn-over osteoporosis after ovariectomy. Objective To compare internet addiction disorders' family cohesion and their family educa-tion style, and to help prevent internet addiction disorder and interference treatment in families with internet addic-tion disorder. Methods Ninety adolescents with internet addiction disorder were investigated as the experimental group and one hundred normal adolescents as the control group. Questionnaire and in-depth interview was used to collect data,and the data was analyzed with SPSS 10.0. Results Average scores of control group were significant higher than those of experimental group in family cohesion ((51.75±8.86) vs (38.89±12.17), P<0.01). Av-erage scores of control group were significant higher than these of experimental group in family education style ((50.65±7.66) vs (41.44±10.84), P < 0.01). Average scores of experimental group were significant higher than those of control group in dissatisfaction of family cohesion and family education style ((20.87±4.66) vs (12.33±7.88); (23.30±11.06) vs (14.28±7.29), P < 0.01). Conclusion The adolescents with internet addiction disorder have low family cohesion and high dissatisfaction of family education style,wherefore during in-ternet addiction family intervention and prevention, it should pay particular attention to cultivating close and harmo-nious relations among families members. In aspect of family education, parents should pay special attention to chil-dren's healthy personality development, and guide their children to actively take part in social practice and train-ing.

Objcetive: To investigate the effect of resveratrol (RES)combined with cisplatin (DDP)on the cholangiocarcinoma cell line FRH-0201 in vitro. Methods: FRH-0201 cells were exposed to different concentrations of RES or (and)DDP. Cell morphological changes were observed by light and fluorescence microscopy. Inhibition of cell proliferation was measured by MTT and colony-forming assay. And the flow cytometry were performed to detect the cell apoptosis rate and cell cycle. Results: Resveratrol inhibited the proliferation of FRH-0201 cells in a time-and dose-dependent manner in the concentration of 5～320 ?mol/L and the IC50 values after the exposure of 24, 48, and 72 h were 55.35, 32.84, and 28.01 ?mol/L respectively. RES and DDP had synergetic effect in the inhibition of FRH-0201 cells. Conclusion: RES can inhibit the growth of FRH-0201 cells and has the synergetic effect with DDP.
