0.4,P0.05)with HHS.[Conclusion]The result of this study suggest that HHS can not capture additional important quality of life domains except for physical function and pain relief that are influenced by THA.So it's necessary to combine HHS and a quality of life survey such as SF-36 to allow a more global assessment of THA.

Objective To analyze the clinical features of fungal septicemia in premature infants in a hospital, and provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods Clinical data of 18 premature infants with fungal septicemia in a hospital between January 2011 and December 2013 were analyzed retrospectively. Results Gesta-tional ages of 18 premature infants were 27-36 weeks, birth weights were 1 050 g-3 100 g,8 of whom were very low birth weight infants(VLBWI);all premature infants were treated with broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents, and were given long-term parenteral nutrition before infection,10 with mechanical ventilation,2 with peripherally insert-ed central catheters(PICC).The main clinical manifestations were apnoea, twitch, feeding difficulty, and poor reac-tion;manifestations appeared 3 hours-52 days after birth.13(72.22%)premature infants had abnormal white blood cell count,12 (66.67%)had thrombocytopenia (< 100 × 109/L),18 (100.00%)had elevated C-reactive protein (CRP),the average CRP level was (41 .90 ±26.77)mg/L.The main pathogens were Candida spp .(n = 17, 94.44%),including Candida parapsilosis (n=7),Candida albicans (n =5 ),biovariety of Candida albicans (n =4),and Candida famata (n=1);premature infants were treated with fluconazol and amphotericin B,15 (83.33%) were cured,2 (11 .11 %)improved, and 1 (5.56%)died.Conclusion Fungal septicemia in premature infants are mainly caused by Candida, there is no specific clinical manifestations, clinical symptoms in premature infants with high risk factors should be closely observed, blood routine and CRP should be detected periodically, timely treat-ment with antifungal agents should be given, which are beneficial to achieve good therapeutic effect.

Objective To explore the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cyclic vomiting syndrome in children. Methods Thirty children proved with cyclic vomiting syndrome admitted from January,1998 to January,2003 were analyzed retrospectively. Results Cyclic vomiting syndrome was most likely to occur in 3-12 years old.The male to female ratio was 3∶2.The clinical manifestations were recurrent vomiting.Twenty-one cases had inducements, while 9 cases had not inducements. It was safe and efficient that curing cyclic vomiting syndrome with cyprohetadine and amitriptyline. Conclusions If these children with cyclic vomiting syndrome are inefficient to treatment, excluding metabolizable diseases, gastrointestinal, neurological diseases, they may be diagnosed cyclic vomiting syndrome, and cured with cyprohetadine and amitriptyline.

Sodium houttuyfonate (SH) is a derivative of effective component of a Chinese material medica, Houttuynia cordata, which is applied in anti-infection of microorganism. But, the antimicrobial mechanisms of SH still remain unclear. Here, we firstly discovered that SH effectively inhibits the three types of virulence related motility of.Pseudomonas aeruginosa, i.e., swimming, twitching and swarming. The plate assay results showed that the inhibitory action of SH against swimming and twitching in 24 h and swarming in 48 h is dose-dependent; and bacteria nearly lost all of the motile activities under the concentration of 1 x minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) (512 mg x L(-1) same as azithromycin positive group (1 x MIC, 16 mg x L(-1)). Furthermore, we found that the expression of structural gene flgB and pilG is down-regulated by SH, which implies that inhibitory mechanism of SH against motility of P. aeruginosa may be due to the inhibition of flagella and pili bioformation of P. aeruginosa by SR Therefore, our presented results firstly demonstrate that SH effectively inhibits the motility activities of P. aeruginosa, and suggest that SH could be a promising antipseudomonas agents in clinic.

Microbiology 2008;0(09):-
PCR-SSCP(single-strand conformation polymorphism) was used for studying the community changes of pronucleus microorganisms in various fermenting stages of Luzhou-flavor Daqu. The results showed:(1) The pronucleus microorganism's community was similar and also had the polymorphism in each simple of various fermentation stage;(2) Different microflora had complex ecology effects of coordination and the restriction;(3) The diversity indexes of different stage of Daqu microorganisms were around 1.69~2.01,and the composition of them was stable relatively;(4) The similarity indexes were 0.67~1.00,and much higher in the approaching stages.

Objective The present study was designed to investigate whether pulsing DCs with tumor-derived extracts is an ef- fective way to induce CTL. and antitumor immunity, Methods DCs were propagated from bone marrow (BM)of C57BL/6J(H-2Kb. I- Ab)mice in vitro with GM-CSF + IL-4tumor associated antigen (TAA) extracted from actively growing Hepa 1-6 cells was used to activate DCs. The phenotypes of DCs were detected by FACS, the cytotoxicity of CTL was as- sayed by 3H-TdR labbel assay. Result and Conclusion The TAA extract pulsed DCs exhibited much more and longer cell processes and increased expression of MHC- Ⅰ, MHC-Ⅱ, CD80 (B7-1 ) 、 CD86 (B7-2 ). This experiment has shown that DCs pulsed with TAA extracts of C57B/6J cells could stimulate effectively the responsiveness of syngenic splenic T cells to induce specific CTL against C57BL/6J cells.
