Objective To investigate the relationship between serum leptin(LP) level and glycometabolism in pregnancy with abnormal glucose challenge test(GCT) and the corresponding outcome of pregnancy. Methods Serum LP level, fasting serum insulin(FINS) and fasting blood glucose(FBG) levels were measured by radioimmunoassay in 23 patients with abnormal GCT but normal oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT),20 with impaired glucose tolerance(IGT),20 with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)(studied groups above) and 30 normal pregnant women(control group).LP,FINS,FBG, insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR) and ?-cell function index(HOMA-IS) were compared among the groups and the outcomes of pregnancy were observed. Results ①There were significant differences in LP,FINS,FBG,HOMA-IR and HOMA-IS between the studied groups and the control group(P0.05).③There were signi-ficant differences in the gestational weeks of delivery, cesarean section rate and neonatal weight between the studied groups and the control group(P0.05). Conclusion Both insulin secretion and insulin resistance are elevated in pregnancy with abnormal glycometabolism, and are closely correlated to the increased serum level of LP.There existed abnormal glycometabolism in patients with abnormal GCT but normal OGTT,which is correlated to the outcome of pregnancy.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the changes of coagulation indicators in patients with hepatitis B complicated with Clonorchis sinensis (C. Sinensis), and provide reference value for diagnosis, drug using and prognosis monitoring. Methods The patient samples were collected from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from June 2018 to February 2022 and divided into six groups. They were 40 healthy patients, 47 patients with simple chronic hepatitis B, 47 patients with post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis, 40 patients with C. Sinensis mono-infection, 30 patients with chronic hepatitis B patients co-infected with C. Sinensis and 27 patients with post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis patients coinfected with C. Sinensis. Four coagulation indexes, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT) and fibrinogen (FIB), were detected and compared among the groups. Results Compared with the healthy group, C. Sinensis mono-infection group had higher level of FIB and delayed PT, APTT; chronic hepatitis B group and chronic hepatitis B patients co-infected with C. Sinensis group had delayed PT, APTT, TT and significant lower FIB, these differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Compared with simple chronic hepatitis B group, post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B patients co-infected with C. Sinensis had significant delayed PT, APTT, TT and lower FIB (all P<0.05). Compared with the post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis B patients co-infected with C. Sinensis, post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis patients coinfected with C. Sinensis group had significant delayed PT, APTT, TT and lower FIB (all P<0.05). Conclusions The coinfection of C. Sinensis will further aggravate the coagulation dysfunction of HBV patients, leading to poor treatment and prognosis. HBV patients will have worse coagulation function in the process to post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis; Therefore, it is important to pay attention to C. Sinensis co-infection when treating HBV patients, so that further guidance on clinical use and monitoring of prognosis can be provided.

Objective To evaluate the technical feasibility and safety of transvaginal appendectomy by endoscopy in canine models. Methods Six female dogs weighing between 12-15 kg underwent transvaginal appendectomy by endoscopy.A small incision at posterior fornix of the vagina was made endoscopically by a needle knife and then dilated by a balloon dilator. After the endoscope entered the peritoneal cavity, the appendicular artery was clipped and the appendix was dissociated, and then the free appendix was ligated by an endoloop near root and removed by snare cutting. The appendix was then removed through the vaginal port. Finally, the vaginal incision was closed by clipping and endolooping. Two weeks after the procedure, the animals were sacrificed for anatomic investigation. Results Endoscopic transvaginal appendectomy was successfully performed in all animals with a mean operating time of (94.2±41.8) min.Complicated bleeding occurred in 1 dog and rectal burn in another during the operation. All the experimental animals survived the post operative period for 2 weeks without any complications.Post mortem examination revealed that the wound and vaginal incision healed well. Conclusion Transvaginal appendectomy by endoscopy is safe and feasible in a canine model, while further study and progression of appropriate accessories are needed for future clinical use.
