1.Study of Prevention and Treatment Stress Ulcer by Pantoprazole after Abdominal Surgery

Objective To study the prevention and treatment of stress ulcer after abdominal surgery by pantoprazole.Methods 46 cases with standing abdominal surgery were randomly divided into 2 groups;Used ranitidine or pantoprazole respectively for prevention of stress ulcer in perioperation. Furthermore, there were 12 alimentary hemorragic patients with stress ulcer treated by omerprazole or pantoprazole respectively.Results The pH of gastric juice in pantoprazole group was higher than that in ranitidine group,the morbidity of stress ulcer in pantoprazole group was lower than in ranitidine group. All of 12 stress ulcer cases were cured,and the cured time in pantoprazole group was shorter than in omerpazole group.Conclusions Pantoprazole is a good agent to prevent and treat the stress ulcer after abdomimd surgery.
2.Expression and role of miR-34a in bladder cancer

Objective To investigate the expression and biological function of microRNA-34a (miR-34a) in bladder cancer.Methods Forty-two cases of bladder cancer specimen,including 17 noninvasive carcinoma and 25 muscle invasive carcinoma classified by UICC 2002 TNM,or 18 low-grade and 24 high-grade classified by WHO 1973.Meanwhile,mucosa adjacent to the carcinoma was selected as normal control.The gene expression of miR-34a was determined using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction in 42 cases of bladder carcinoma samples.Mature mimics of miR-34a were chemically synthesized and transiently transfected-intoT24 bladder cancer cells.The effects of miR-34a on apoptosis and proliferation in T24 cells were evaluatedby flow cytometry and MTS respectively.Results 61.9% of carcinoma samples showed low expression of miR-34a,which was correlated with the malignancy and tumor size of bladder carcinoma.26.5% (11 cases) was negative and 11.6% (5 cases) showed high expression.Furthermore,upregulation of miR-34a in T24 cells contributed to cell growth and apoptosis.The apoptosis rate of T24 cells was (9.11 ± 0.41)%,which had significant difference compared with NC mimics and blank control group respectively (P < 0.01).Conclusion The relative low expression of miRNA-34a may be involved in the tumorigenesis and development of bladder carcinoma.

The rat single-pass intestinal perfusion model was applied to study the effect of CYP3A and P-glycoprotein on the absorption of buagafuran in lumen of rats. 6.Effect of blood pool 18F-FDG activity on liver SUV: a calibration methodology study

Objective To identify the effect of blood pool 18F-FDG activity on liver SUV and to investigate the optimal normalization method.Methods PET/CT and common serological examination items from 1 018 subjects were retrospectively collected.Mean SUV of liver and blood were recorded as SUVmean(L) and SUVmean (B),respectively.The difference and quotient of SUVmean(L) and SUV mean (B) were calculated as SUVmean (L-B) and SUVmean (L/B),respectively.CV of SUVmean (L),SUVmean (L-B) and SUVmean(L/B) were calculated to assess their inter-individual variations.Pearson correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationship of SUVmean(L),SUVmean(L-B),SUVmean(L/B) with SUVmean(B).Multiple linear stepwise regression was performed to identify their vulnerability to common serological examination items.Results CV of SUVmean(L/B) (15.1%) was less than that of SUmean(L) (23.2%) and SUVmean(L-B) (40.6%).Correlation between SUVmean(L) and SUVmean(B) (r =0.820,P<0.001) was more significant than that between SUVmean(L-B) and SUVmean(B) (r =0.205,P<0.001) as well as between SUVmean (L/B) and SUVmean (B) (r=-0.376,P<0.001).Blood glucose and BMI correlated with SUVmean(L) and SUVmean(L/B),but not with SUV (B).Age and HDL correlated with SUVmean(L) and SUVmean(B),but not with SUV (L/B).Fatty liver was significantly associated with SUV mean (L/B) (β =-0.047,P <0.001),but not with SUVmean(L) and SUVmean (B).Conclusions 18 F-FDG activity of blood pool affects liver SUV.SUV mean (L/B) is a simple and reliable normalization method since its inter-individual variation and vulnerability to common serological examination items are relatively lower than liver SUV.
7.Photo-toxic effects of indocyanine green based on photodynamic therapy on vascular endothelial cells in ;vitro

Objective To investigate the photo-toxic effects of indocyanine green (ICG) based on photodynamic therapy (PDT) on vascular endothelial cells in vitro. Methods Human umbilical vein endothelial cells were incubated with ICG with different concentrations in 96-well plate. According to the dose of ICG , they were divided into 6 groups as 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 μmol/L group. Each group consists of 8 wells, 4 of them were irradiated with a 810 nm laser of total power 24.0 J/cm2. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay 24 h after light irradiation. Morphological changes in cells were observed by light microscope. Results With the irradiation of 810 nm light , there was a significant decrease in relative cell viability in all groups except 0 μmol/L group (all P < 0). With the increase of concentration of ICG, the cell viability dropped rapidly (P < 0). Apoptotic changes can be seen in all groups except 0 μmol/L group and necrosis was the main change in cells of 200 μmol/L and 250 μmol/L group. Conclusion PDT with appropriate concentration of ICG has a strong inhibition to vascular endothelial cells in vitro and ICG-PDT may be a good new therapy for nevascularization.
8.EFFECTS OF SELENIUM TEA ON APOLIPOPROTEIN AND BLOOD RHEOLOGY OF RATS

Objective: To study the health effects of selenium tea on cardiovascular system. Methods : Four groups of Wistar rats were fed standard diet and water, standard diet and selenium tea , high fat diet and water ,high fat diet and selenium tea respectively. Twelve weeks later, the plasma apoA , apoB, body weight, whole blood viscosity , plasma viscosity , and hematorcrit were determined while plasma fibrinogen and inhibition of erythrocyte aggregation were calculated. Results: At the end of the experiment ,the plasma apoA level of selenium tea groups was significantly higher than that of control group, while the ratio of apoB/apoA was significantly lower than that of control group. Selenium tea decreased the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity and inhibited erythrocyte aggregation and body weight. Conclusion: Selenium tea could significantly improve the lipoprotein metabolism and hermorrheology and decrease body weight of the rats fed high fat diet.
10.Development of Infusion Support Series for Field Operation Stretcher

Objective To develop and perfect the infusion function of field operation stretcher by attaching infusion support.Methods The linking structure was developed for conveniently mounting infusion support to field operation stretcher so as to pack them off together.Results The infusion support is simple to operate,reasonable in structure,convenient to put off,and suitable for various field operation stretcher.Conclusion The field rescue,especially the quality of casualty transports,is improved.The manpower and material resources needed in on-site rescue are greatly reduced.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2008,29(2):68]
