ObjectiveTo observe the effect of the scalp acupunction on children with cerebral palsy.Methods56 cases with cerebral palsy were divided into two groups: the treating group(scalp acupuncture and modern rehabilitation) and the control group(modern rehabilitation only) with 28 cases each. The ADL and the motion function were compared. ResultsThere is a significant defference between the two groups on the ADL, while no significant defference was observed on motor function between the two groups.Conclusions Scalp acupuncture is effective on improvment of ADL of the children with cerebral palsy.

In this paper the investigation of using a new method-ABC-ELISA in assay of Autoimmune Thyroid Disease are presented. The sensitivity of ABC-ELISA is compared with that of standard ELISA; Its reliability is proven by the methods of detecting TSAb with FRTL-5. TRAb is detected by ABC-ELISA in 91% of untreated Graves'. TRAb is detected by Standard ELISA in 70% of untreated Graves'. The results of ABC-ELISA in 26 untreated Graves' are equal to that of the method of detecting TSAb with FRTL-5. Therefore, we consider that ABC-ELISA is a sensitive, reproducible, convenient method applicable to clinical practice.

ObjectiveTo study and find out the mechanism of uroschesis in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods111 cases's picture of tougue were observed and recorded.ResultsPale tongue with white and yellow coating occurred in common.Conclusions The picture of the tongue plays a role in finding out TCM mechanism of uroschesis.

The experiment was designed to study the mechanism of increasing efficiency of Ligustrum lucidum steamed with wine. Rats in vivo with gastrointestinal perfusion model were used. The contents of salidroside and specnuezhenide in the fluid of gastrointestinal perfusion of rats were measured by HPLC at different time points after dosing. Then the K(a) and absorption percentage were calculated. Specnuezhenide could be detected in the fluid of gastrointestinal perfusion of specnuezhenide. The K(a) of the specnuezhenide and salidroside in the fetal intestines are 0.055 3 and 0.144 2 h(-1) respectively and the total absorptivity are 24.46% and 60.14% respectively after 4 hours. The K(a) in the stomach are 5.70 and 8.26 h(-1) respectively and the total absorptivity are 34.21% and 47.23% respectively after 4 hours. The experiment proved that specnuezhenide can be metabolized into salidroside which is more beneficial for gastrointestinal absorption. The experiment proved that specnuezhenide can be metabolized into salidroside both in the rat's stomach and the fetal intestine and compared with the specnuezhenide salidroside is more conducive to gastrointestinal absorption. The results suggested that the increasing efficiency on liver and kidney of L. lucidum steamed with wine has business with the fact that Specnuezhe nide is more conducive to the body after it is changed into salidroside.

Objective To investigate the effect of repeated and prolonged +Gz exposure on endocrine function of vessel in a rabbit model of atherosclerosis. Methods Twenty-four male New Zealand white rabbits were used to establish the model of atherosclerosis, and then randomly divided into control group and +Gz exposure group (12 each). Animals in control group underwent no +Gz exposure, while those in +Gz exposure group underwent +Gz exposure for 4, 8, and 12 weeks respectively (4 animals at each time point), and 4 animals from each group were sacrificed at each time point. The levels of angiotensin II (Ang II), endothelin (ET), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), carbon monoxide (CO) and cyclic guanosine-3', 5'-monophosphate (cGMP) were measured by radioimmunoassay and biochemical method, and the ultrastructure of aortic intima was examined by electron microscopy. Results Along with the prolongation of +Gz exposure, the contents of Ang II, ET, HO-1, CO and cGMP were increased in +Gz exposure group (P<0.05), but the increase stopped at the 12th week, and no obvious change in the above indices was observed in control group (P=0.05). The foam cells and collagen content under the aortic intima and in the shallow layer of aortic media were slightly increased in control group, but the foam cells and the interstitial collagen fibers were greatly increased after +Gz exposure for 8 and 12 weeks as compared with that in control group. Conclusion Repeated and prolonged +Gz exposure may induce the production of Ang II and ET, increase the secretion of HO-1, CO and cGMP, thus play a potential role in protecting the vessels from further injuries.

Some managers and medical personnel in the institutions of maternal and child health were lack of ethical awareness.Their awareness about the protection of rights and interests of the subjects,informed consent,and research medical safety were not enough.There arised some ethical problems in reproductive medicine,prenatal diagnosis,new technology and new project review,and scientific research project application.Based on cause analysis,this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures.Researchers should recognize the importance of medical research management and ethics review.It should strengthen the training of research ethics for hospital managers and researchers,meanwhile,strengthen the construction of ethics committee,strengthen the tracking and governance,and make good use of education and assessment measures,in order to promote the healthy development of maternal and child health medical research.

AIM: To investigate whether and how N, N-dimethylsphingosine (DMS) plays a role in modulating the adhesion of monocytes to vascular endothelial cells, and identify whether human umbilical vein endothelial cell line EA.hy926 take place of the vascular endothelial cells.METHODS: Adhesion ratio was measured by flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin in HUVEC: EA.hy926 cells after the effect of DMS. RESULTS: DMS inhibited the adhesion of monocytes to HUVEC: EA.hy926 cells in a time-dependent and concentration-dependent manner by reducing the expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin. CONCLUSIONS: DMS reduced adhesion molecule expression in vascular endothelial cells. DMS may be an important contributor to reduce adhesion ratio, suggesting that DMS plays a negative role in proinflammatory and immune functions of the modified vascular endothelial cells during atherosclerosis and restenosis.
