OBJECTIVE To investigate the prevalence of metallo-?-lactamase in carbapenem-resistant clinical Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates.METHODS Sixteen strains of P.aeruginosa isolated from Tianjin General Hospital during 2005-2006 which were resistant to all tested antibiotics besides carbapenem were studied.The general PCR was adopted to amplify the resistance genes of matallo-?-lactamae.Restriction endonucleases performed restriction analysis were used to certify the type of genes of matallo-?-lactamase by different endonuclease recognition site.RESULTS Two of the 16 clinical strains of P.aeruginosa(named P02 and P16) were confirmed bearing IMP-1 metallo-?-lactamase gene detected by PCR amplification and restriction analysis.CONCLUSIONS P.aeruginosa producing IMP-1 metallo-?-lactamase is the major type in our hospital.The hydrolyzing effect of the metallo-?-lactamase is not the main machanism in these carbapenem-resistant P.aeruginosa isolates.

Objective To determine the genotypes of human papillomavirus (HPV) and to estimate their recurrence of condyloma acuminatum (CA) among female in Xi'an.Methods HPV genotype was detected with human papilloma virus genotyping kit in 63 female patients with CA.Follow-up was carried out to observe the recurrence of CA in these patients after CO2 laser treatment.Results Of the 63 specimens,61 (96.83％) were positive for HPV,and a total of 16 HPV subtypes were identified.The predominant genotypes were HPV6 (59.2％),11 (22.95％),42 (8.20％),43 (8.20％),52 (8.20％),16 (6.56％) and 18 (4.92％) respectively.43 cases of single HPV infection was accounted for 70.49％ (43/61),mixed infection in 14 cases was accounted 22.95 ％ (14/61).61 cases of patients with laser treatment,observing the recurrence of cuses after 3-month later,it was found that the recurrence rate in higher risk group and mixed infection group was higher than that in low-risk group.Conclusion HPV6,11 is main HPV infection type of the female patients in Xi'an,the recurrence of CA is higher in patients with high risk HPV than in those with low risk HPV and mixted infection.Mixted infection of HPV and high risk HPV is a risk factor for recurrence of female genital warts in Xi'an region.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) on the apoptosis of human mesenchymal stem cells induced by H2O2 and related cell signaling pathways.Methods After being cultured in vitro, human MSCs were treated with rhEPO.Phosphorylation of ERK1/2,p38 MAPK and PI3K/Akt was detected by using Western blotting.One h after pretreatment with1U/ml rhEPO,cells were cultured in the presence of1mmol/L H2O2 for1h.Cell morphology was observed under the inverted microscopy.Cell apoptosis was determined by using flow cytometry,migration assay was performed in Transwell chambers,and adhesion assay was performed by plastic dishes.ResultsRhEPO could increase phosphorylation of PI3K/Akt pathway in human MSCs,but reduce phosphorylation of p38MAPK.RhEPO had no obvious effect on ERK1/2 pathway and total proteins of Akt and p38MAPK.RhEPO could decrease apoptosis of human MSCs induced by H2O2 (P＜0.01) and the inhibitory effect was abrogated by Ly294002 but not anisomysin.Conclusion RhEPO could protect MSCs from apoptosis. Activation of PI3K/Akt pathway was involved in the effect of rhEPO on apoptosis.

Objective To investigate the application value of plasma D-dimer and coagulation indicators in the patients with o-varian cancer by detecting the routine coagulation indicators and plasma D-dimer level.Methods The plasma D-dimer and coagula-tion indicators levels were measured in 84 patients with ovarian cancer and 25 patients with benign ovarian tumor.The application value of preoperative plasma D-dimer level in monitoring the disease course of ovarian cancer was evaluated.Results The plasma levels of D-dimer and FBG in the ovarian cancer group were significantly higher than those in the ovarian benign tumor control group(P <0.01);moreover the plasma levels of D-dimer and FBG in the patients with the stage Ⅲ~Ⅳ ovarian cancer were signifi-cantly higher than those in the patients with the stageⅠ~Ⅱ ovarian cancer,the differences had statistical significance(P <0.05), which prompting that the coagulation and fibrinolysis dysfunction in the patients with ovarian cancer exhibited the aggravating trend with the disease condition progression.Conclusion D-dimer may reflect the excessive activation of fibrinolysis function in ovarian tumor,which prompting the survival period and prognosis in the patients with advanced ovarian cancer.The plasma D-dimer level has the important significance to early prevention,early diagnosis,early treatment and improve the prognosis in the thrombosis oc-currence in ovarian cancer.

Objective:To detect the levels of TGF-β1 in hypertensive renal function impairment patients and its clinical value. Methods: Primary hypertension patients with no target organs damage were enrolled in control group, primary hypertension patients with renal function stageⅠand stageⅡwere enrolled in renal function stageⅠgroup and stageⅡgroup. Serum TGF-β1 levels and renal function indices of three groups were compared. Results:There were no significant difference of serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen of three groups(F=23.523, P<0.05);endogenous creatinine clearance rate of renal functionⅠandⅡgroups were lower than that of control group, TGF-β1 levels of renal functionⅠandⅡ groups were higher than of control group; TGF-β1 levels were negatively correlated with creatinine clearance rate. Conclusion:TGF-β1 level is an ideal index to reflect renal function for its level significantly changes in renal damage stageⅠ,Ⅱand has good correlation with Cin.

Objective To study MRI characteristics of viral encephalitis and the possibility of differentiating diagnosis with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis(ADEM).Methods MRI findings in 56 patients with viral encephalitis and 50 patients with ADEM were analysed and emphasized on MR findings of viral encephalitis.Results The abnormal signal lesions were found in 56 patients with viral encephalitis,including multiple or single,symmetrical or asymmetrical large patch shape lesions,the lesions located mainly in cortices,subcortical and basal ganglia and thalami.The lesions appeared as long T_1 and long T_2 on MRI.Enhanced MRI was performed in 27 cases,and demonstrated abnormal enhancement in 17 cases,including large patch or gyrus shape enhancement in 10 cases.Multiple and asymmetrical spot-patch white matter lesions were revealed in the frontal lobe,parietal lobe,occipital lobe,temporal lobe,and periventricular areas with ADEM.The lesions were long T_1 and long T_2 on MRI.Enhanced MRI was performed in 20 cases,and demonstrated abnormal enhancement in 15 cases,peripheral ring-type or patch shape enhancement was observed in all cases.Conclusion MRI is one of the important methods in diagnosis of viral encephalitis,it can provide evidences for early diagnosis and differentiation in the certain degree.

Objective To investigate which is better for gastroduodenal endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) between right lateral position and left lateral position of patients guided by nurses. Methods A total of 79 patients were randomly assigned to the left and right lateral position groups. Each patient received EUS examination in three parts, which were sinuses ventriculi, duodenal bulb and descendant duodenum. The operating time and the water volume of each patient were recorded in the procedure of EUS. Results Operating time in sinuses ventriculi, duodenal bulb and descendant duodenum of left lateral position group was (9.0±4.0) min, (6.5±3.2) min and (13.6±10.9) min, while (5.7±3.0) min, (3.6± 1.7) min and ( 6.6±5.7) min in right lateral position group, the differences were significant (t=3.098, 2.190, 3.210, P<0.05) . In the meantime, water volume was (892.0±169.5) ml, (898.6±145.9) ml and (1 012.0± 333.2) ml in sinuses ventriculi, duodenal bulb and descendant duodenum of left lateral position group, while (327.1±79.3) ml, (260.6±30.4) ml and (263.8±17.7) ml in three parts of right lateral position group, respectively. Significant differences were found in water volume among subgroups (t=13.798, 11.290, 4.930, P<0.01 or 0.05). Conclusions In the process of EUS for submucosal lesions at gastric antrum and duodenum, right lateral position instructed by nurses can shorten the operating time and make the procedure easier. This might reduce risks of regurgitation, aspiration, and other related complications.

After the first recognition occurs between the activated sperm and zona pellucida of the oocyte from the mammalians, ?-1,4-galactosyltransferase I (? 4GalT I) combines the N-GlcNAc terminals by O-ligands on the ZP3 of the zona pellucida, which plays a difunctional role in the fertilization. The G protein signal system on the sperm membrane then is consequently activated by ZP3 via ?4GalT I, contributing to the induction of acrosome reaction. It was proved that in the activation of the G protein system, both the BBXB and BBXXB motifs on the N terminal of the long ? 4GalT I are necessary.
