Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of leukotriene receptor antagonists in treatment of chronic cough. Methods Eighty-one patients with chronic cough, defined by the diagnostic protocol of chronic cough, were recruited. The including criteria are complaining cough 8 weeks or longer, age ≥ 14, nonsmoking or had quitted smoking≥4 weeks, not taking ACEI medicine, not complicated with gastroesophageal reflux related cough, upper airway cough syndrome (besides allergic rhinitis), tuberculosis of bronchus and with normal chest X-ray. Those diagnosed as cough variant asthma(CVA),allergic rhinitis (AR),eosinophilic bronchitis(EB),post infectious cough(PIC) were treated with leukotriene 10 mg daily at night. Results The 81 patients includes:36 cases of CVA,30 cases of AR,5 cases with EB,10 cases with PIC. After treatment based on diagnosis, cough disappeared in 67 patients, symptoms improved in 12 patients, and 2 patients' cough did not improved. Conclusions Leukotriene receptor antagonists is an aggressive anti-inflammatory therapy, which can release the symptom of cough and is an important medicine in the treatment of chronic cough.
2.Clinical analysis of Eisenmenger syndrome during pregnancy
Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2011;14(10):603-607
Objective To investigate the outcome and the management of pregnant women with Eisenmenger syndrome during perinatal period to reduce the maternal fatality rate. Methods The clinical data of 23 pregnant women with Eisenmenger syndrome admitted into Beijing Anzhen Hospital Capital Medical University from January 1st,2001 to December 31st,2009 were retrospectively analyzed.Gestational week, primary disease of the heart, pulmonary hypertension, oxygen saturation and heart function of the patients were compared with Chi-square test or Fisher's exact test. Results (1) The gestational week of 23 patients with Eisenmenger syndrome were between 15 to 38 weeks, among which 11 cases in the midterm pregnancy and 12 in the last term pregnancy. The severity of pulmonary hypertension, heart function and pregnant outcomes have no difference in patients with differeut gestational weeks (P>0.05).(2) Ventricular septal defect (VSD) were the most common disease (65.2%,15/23) among the four primary heart diseases of the patients. The heart function of the patients with VSD decreased most severely after pregnancy, and the fatality rate of the heart function Ⅳ was up to 73.3% (11/15).The incidence of severe pulmonary hypertension was 20.0% (3/15).The decreasing of the heart function of the patients with different primary heart diseases were different (P<0.05).(3) Among the pulmonary hypertension patients, there were 7 mild cases (30.4%),12 moderate cases (52.2%) and 4 severe cases (17.4%).The severity of the pulmonary hypertension of the patients correlated to the incidence of postpartum heart failure and death (P< 0.05).The outcomes of four patients with severe pulmonary hypertension were the worst and all were reported to be dead (4/4).(4) Oxygen saturation related to the mortality of perinatal infants, incidence of premature birth and spontaneous abortion (P<0.05).As oxygen saturation decreased to the lowest level, the fatality rate of perinatal infants increased to the highest (5.3 %,1/19),so did the incidence of the premature birth (84.2%,16/19) and spontaneous abortion ( 10.5%,2/19).Conclusions The key point to increase the safety of patients with Eisenmenger syndrome during perinatal period was to strengthen monitoring, decrease the pulmonary hypertension and terminate pregnancy timely.
3.Derivation, culture and in vitro differentiation of human embryonic stem cells
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2006;0(04):-
Human embryonic stem(hES) cells can self-renew and have the ability to differentiate into any type of cells of the body. These characteristics make hES cells a good candidate for cell-based therapies. Current techniques for derivating and culturing embryonic stem cells are very mature. However, concerns arise that pathogen contamination may make these cells unsuitable for therapeutic purposes. An optimal growth environment is greatly needed. Through various in vitro differentiation methods, human embryonic stem cells can be induced into many specialized cell types. However the mechanism of committed differentiation is still unknown.
4.The linear position tracking servo system using a linear voice-coil motor
Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2008;20(3):164-167
More and more linear servo systems have been used in servo applications. Direct drive technology can greatly increase the bandwidth and the tracking accuracy. A position servo-system based on linear voice-coil motor was designed for one linear oscillation movement application. Besides the conventional position, speed and current control loops, the speed and acceleration feed-forward control of command position signal were also used. The experimental test proved the correctness of the design, and the system can track the given periodic sinnsoid position command signal of 15Hz with high accuracy. The linear voice-coil motor is very suitable for short stroke position tracking application with high dynamic response.
5. Analysis of clinical features of metastatic carcinoma of bone marrow in forty-one patients
Tumor 2008;28(6):520-523
Objective: To investigate the clinical features of metastatic carcinoma of bone marrow. Methods: A total of forty-one cases with metastatic carcinoma of bone marrow were collected. The clinical manifestations including symptoms, laboratory examination and imaging diagnosis were observed and analyzed. Results: The most common symptoms were bone pain, fever, and weight loss. Anemia, thrombocytopenia and the presence of immature erythrocytes and leukocytes in peripheral blood were common hematological abnormalities. Serum alkaline phosphatase levels were increased in 68% of patients. The emission computed tomography (ECT) examinations showed lesions in the bone in 88% of patients. Nineteen patients (46%) had carcinomas of unknown origin, thirteen patients had lung cancer, three patients had prostate cancer and six patients had other primary malignancies. Eighteen patients received chemotherapy. The median survival time of the forty-one patients was only 3.6 months. However, a lung cancer patient had stable disease for 13 months after chemotherapy. Conclusion: When one or more of the following features are present: bone pain, fever, weight loss, hematological abnormalities, an increase in serum alkaline phosphates and bone lesions on ECT, metastatic carcinoma of bone marrow should be considered. To verify this diagnosis, bone marrow aspiration is a simple and valuable method. Chemotherapy as early as possible may slow down the progress of disease.

0.05) . Four weeks after culture, both transcription factor NKX-2.5 and GATA4 were expressed in the 5-azacytidine group. Additionally,?-mysion heavy chain but not ?-mysion heavy chain expression was observed. CONCLUSION:5-azacytidine induced the differentiation from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells into myocardial-like cells;in addition, simulated biological microenvironment in both indirect contact group and myocardial cell lysate group also induced the same differentiation. The differentiated cells were cardiac possesses which were between mature cells and cardiac progenitor cells.

AIM: To investigate whether and how N, N-dimethylsphingosine (DMS) plays a role in modulating the adhesion of monocytes to vascular endothelial cells, and identify whether human umbilical vein endothelial cell line EA.hy926 take place of the vascular endothelial cells.METHODS: Adhesion ratio was measured by flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin in HUVEC: EA.hy926 cells after the effect of DMS. RESULTS: DMS inhibited the adhesion of monocytes to HUVEC: EA.hy926 cells in a time-dependent and concentration-dependent manner by reducing the expression of ICAM-1 and P-selectin. CONCLUSIONS: DMS reduced adhesion molecule expression in vascular endothelial cells. DMS may be an important contributor to reduce adhesion ratio, suggesting that DMS plays a negative role in proinflammatory and immune functions of the modified vascular endothelial cells during atherosclerosis and restenosis.

Objective To compare the effect of contrast medium by left or right side ulnar vein injection on the quality of enhanced CT images. Methods One hundred and sixty-five consecutive patients underwent thoracic CT contrast enhancement examination with multi-detector CT and scan delay time was 60 seconds. According to group sampling, subjects were divided into three groups: young age group ( < 40 years old) 35 cases, middle age group( 40-60 years old ) 60 cases, elder age group( > 60 years old ) 70 cases, and then patients were divided into two groups by random digits table with left side ulnar vein injection (left vein group, 77 cases ) and right side ulnar vein injection ( right vein group, 88 cases ) . Anteroposterior dimension between posterior border of manubrium sterni and anterior border of aortic arch (or brachiocephalic artery) where left brachiocephalic vein acrossing was measured and analyzed with relation of image quality. Results The anteroposterior dimension showed a statistical significant difference between young age group and elder age group(P< 0.05), but no statistical difference between middle age group and elder age group(P> 0.05). The CT value in left vein group and right vein group was (106 ?24 ), (149 ?29 ) HU respectively, and there was statistical difference between two groups (P<0.05). The good quality CT image in left vein group and right vein group was 61.0% (47/77),79.5% (70/88), and there was statistical difference (P <0.05). Conclusion CT contrast enhancement examination with right ulnar vein injection rather than left side may improve the quality of images by avoiding compression of left brachiocephalic vein in some patients .
