1.Progress in treatment of cervical spinal canal tumors
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2016;39(11):1054-1056
Cervical spinal canal tumors is not rare, accounting for about 15%of all spinal tumors. Due to the particularity of its anatomical location and the severity of operative complications, it is considered as a difficult point in spinal surgery. With the development of imaging medicine and various surgical techniques, many new theories and techniques have been developed. Its overall treatment effect is satisfactory, but the serious surgical complications not rare. This article reviews the progress in treatment of cervical spinal canal tumors, in order to provide a reference for the further improvement of cervical spinal canal tumors treatment .

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2008;27(5):330-332
Objective To explore the relationship between diabetic retinopathy (DR) and intima-media thickness in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. Methods A total of 1236 diabetic subjects who were diagnosed within 1 year, including 218 older patients, were enrolled in the study. Intima-media thickness of the right common carotid artery and femoral artery were determined using B mode ultrasonography. All subjects were ophthalmologically examined. Results The intima-media thickness values of the carotid artery and femoral artery[(0.83 ± 0.11)mm, (0. 80 ±0.11)mm] in elderly DR group were higher than those [(0. 78±0.12)mm, (0.75±0.13)mm] in elderly non-DR group(P<0.05). The prevalences of DR in IMT≥0.8 mm group[20.6%: carotid artery, 18.6%: femoral artery] were higher than those in IMT< 0.8mm group [13.0%: carotid artery, 13.6%: femoral artery] (P<0. 05). Logistic regression analysis also showed DR was associated with IMT. Conclusions DR is associated with IMT in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients, and early changes of retinopathy are associated with increased IMT.

Objective To establish a method for determination of polysaccharide from the leaves of Sorbus tianschanica Rupr.and its bacteriostatic action. Methods Phenol-sulfuric acid method was used for extraction and determination of polysaccharides in Sorbus tianschanica Rupr. Its antibacterial action was studied by control experiment. Results Average content of polysaccharides in Sorbus tianschanica Rupr was 2.56%.The polysaccharides exerted bacteriostatic effect, especially on Bacillus subtilis. Conclusion The method is simple and accurate, and can provide theoretical basis and reference for relative research of Sorbus tianschanica Rupr.

Objective To explore the distribution and development characters of the accidental injury and death in urban residents in Chifeng city.Method The data came from the annals of death caused by illness or injury and of the demography of the residents from Hongshan district of the Chifeng city(urban area),Ningcheng county(rural area) and Balin You Banner(pasturing area) during 2001-2003.The causes of the death were classified with ICD-9.Results The mortality of the accidental injury during 2001-2003 were 14.17/100 000 in urban area,48.13/100 000 in rural area and 38.02/100 000 in pasturing area, respectively;and which accounted for 5.63%,10.42% and 9.83% of the total deaths, respectively. The death caused by accidental injury ranked the top 5th in urban and rural areas, and the 4th in pasturing area. The main cause for the potential life losing was traffic accidents of the motor vehicles for men and suicides for women. The mortality of the accidental injury in urban and rural residents of over 20 s yrs was higher, and it was higher in male that in female. Conclusion The main causes for the death of the residents in Chifeng city were traffic accidents, suicides and accidental poisoning. It is necessary to adopt correspond measures and make prevention for it according to the epidemic and different ages and sex characters.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the effects of compound nutrients on serum concentrations of IL-6 induced by immobilization and cold water-immersion in rats. Methods Stress was produced by immobilization and cold water-immersion.Rats were randomly as- signed to two groups,i.e.acute and chronic stress groups.Acute stress group was divided again into normal control group(C),acute stress group(AS)and acute stress+compound nutrients group(AS+CN).Chronic stress group was assigned again into normal control group(C),chronic stress group(CS)and chronic stress+compound nutrients group(CS+CN).The serum IL-6 level was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Oral(gavage)administration of compound nutrients may attenuate effect of stress induced by acute and chronic immobilization, and reduce the increase in serum IL-6 level induced by cold water-immersion stress. In acute immobilization and cold water-immersed stress group, the serum IL-6 level rose significantly from 17.69?0.96 to 29.67?1.64pg/ml 30 minutes after stress, and the administration of compound nutrients effectively attenuated the rise in serum IL-6 level 30 minutes after stress from 29.67?1.64 to 22.30?2.52pg/ml (P

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To assess the life quality of children with complex congenital heart defects after surgical treatment. Methods Ten children with complex heart defects after surgical treatment were given comprehensive assessment in physical development(using weight and height standard deviation score,SDS);the symptoms and signs that easily occured;startting time for enrolment to a kindergarten or primary school enrolment. Results The weight SDS of 9 cases were below average value of reference crowd, only 1 case was above average value of refere nce crowd;all the 10 cases of the height SDS were below average value of reference crowd;the symptoms prone to appear:2 cases had cyanosis,9 cases had breathlessness, and all 10 cases of heart auscultation had heart murmur;8 cases stayed at home, having reached the school or kindergarten age. Conclusions The life quality of children with complex congenital heart defects after surgical treatment is inferior. The congenital heart disease prevention show focus on pre-birth intervention.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(1):113-119
We searched and retrieved literature on the topic of medical image processing published on SCI journals in the past 10 years. We then imported the retrieved literature into TDA for data cleanup before data analysis and pro cessing by EXCLE and UCINET to generate tables and figures that could indicate disciplinary correlation and research hotspots from the perspective of bibliometrics. The results indicated that people in Europe and USA were leading researchers on medical image processing with close international cooperation. Many disciplines contributed to the fast development of medical image processing with intense interdisciplinary researches. The papers that we found show recent research hotspots of the algorithm, system, model, image and segmentation in the field of medical image processing. Cluster analysis on key words of high frequency demonstrated complicated clustering relationship.
