Objective To study the clinical and imaging characteristics of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods Clinical data of 9 cases with CVST were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients had headache, nausea and vomiting; 5 patients had epilepsy; 3 patients had focal neurological deficits; 3 patients had fever; 3 patients had palilledema; 3 patients had disturbance of consciousness. CSF examination showed prominent high intracranial pressure, but conventional and biochemical examinations were normal. 8 patients did CT scan, but the diagnosis was not clear. All patients first MRI showed venous sinus and related brain areas long T1 and T2 signal; MRV showed that the involved venoussinus had non-visualized signal. MRI in chronic phase showed slightly higher T1 and T2 signal; MRV showed sinus enhancement. The outline of uncomplete reconalzation was unclear. Conclusions The common high intracranial pressure is unspecific sign and symptom of patients with CVST. CSF examination show that the intracranial pressure is prominent high, but conventional and biochemical examination are normal. MRI can show that the normal flow void of the dural sinus is disappeared, instead of abnormal high or equality intensities. The characters of CVST in MRV are those the blood flow signal of involved venous sinus be disappeared or showed anormalism.

To determine the regulatory effect of ? opioid receptor stimulation on ? adrenoceptor signaling and its underlying mechanism, single ventricular myocytes were isolated from the heart of rat subjected to chronic hypoxia for 4 weeks. The electrically induced [Ca 2+ ] i transient were measured using a spectrofluorometric method. RT PCR was used to determine the mRNA of ? opioid receptor, and Western blot was used to determine the Gi and Gs protein. ? adrenoceptor stimulation with isoproterenol increased the amplitude of the electrically induced [Ca 2+ ] i transient in myocytes of normoxic rats. U50488H, a selective ? opioid receptor agonist, significantly inhibited the effect of isoproterenol. In the heart of chronically hypoxic rats, the inhibition of U50488H was blunted. RT PCR revealed no significant change in mRNA of ? opioid receptor. Western blot showed no change in Gi protein. While biologically active Gs small protein decreased significantly. The results indicate that the negative modulation of ? opioid receptor on ? adrenoceptor is attenuated in the heart of chronically hypoxic rat. The decrease in Gs protein may be partially responsible for the attenuation.

Objective To explore the nechanism of the interaction between K-opioid receptor and ? adrenal receptor. Method The effects of u50 488H on L-type calcium currents in the normal and hypoxic rat ventricular myocytes were studied by using whole-cell patch clamp technique. Results The basal as well as Isoproterenol-stimulated I_ Ca,L were inhibited by U50,488H in a dose-dependent manner in normal rat ventricular myocytes. In the hypoxic rat ventricular myocytes, the inhibitory effect of U50,488H was decreased. U50,488H had no significant effect on Forkolin-stimulated I_ Ca,L . Conclusion The results indicated that the negative modulation of ?-opioid receptor on ?-adrenoceptor was attenuated in the hypoxic ventricular myocytes, and the target of U50,488H on ?-adrenergic system might be situated between ?-adrenoceptor and adenylate cyclase.

Objective To investigate the effects of compound nutrients on serum concentrations of IL-6 induced by immobilization and cold water-immersion in rats. Methods Stress was produced by immobilization and cold water-immersion.Rats were randomly as- signed to two groups,i.e.acute and chronic stress groups.Acute stress group was divided again into normal control group(C),acute stress group(AS)and acute stress+compound nutrients group(AS+CN).Chronic stress group was assigned again into normal control group(C),chronic stress group(CS)and chronic stress+compound nutrients group(CS+CN).The serum IL-6 level was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Oral(gavage)administration of compound nutrients may attenuate effect of stress induced by acute and chronic immobilization, and reduce the increase in serum IL-6 level induced by cold water-immersion stress. In acute immobilization and cold water-immersed stress group, the serum IL-6 level rose significantly from 17.69?0.96 to 29.67?1.64pg/ml 30 minutes after stress, and the administration of compound nutrients effectively attenuated the rise in serum IL-6 level 30 minutes after stress from 29.67?1.64 to 22.30?2.52pg/ml (P
6.Pay much attention to neovascular glaucoma caused by hypoperfusion retinopathy
Ophthalmology in China 2006;0(05):-
Neovascular glaucoma is a rare and severe complication of hypoperfusion retinopathy. The appearance of hypoperfu- sion retinopathy complicating neovascular glaucoma in ophthalmolscopy and fundus fluorescein angiography shows a special feature. Neovascular glaucoma occurs when new fibrovascular tissues proliferate onto the chamber angle and obstruct the trabecular meshwork. The stenosis or occlusion of internal carotid artery is the most common reason of hypoperfusion retinopathy in elder people.Early recog- nition and treatment of patients with carotid occlusive diseases may prevent more serious complications.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(28):5485-5488
BACKGROUND: The main role that the osteoprotegedn (OPG) plays in bone tissues is to inhibilate the formation and the activity of osteoclast, while as for the receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL), it is to stimulate the differentiation and the activity of osteoclast. Both OPG and RANKL are important for the regulation of osteoclastic function. Recent studies have found the stimulative effects of adiponectin on the proliferation and the differentiation of osteoblast, as well as the coupling between adiponectin and bone metabolism. But effects of adiponectin on osteoclast remain unclear. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of adiponectin on the expression of OPG and RANKL in osteoblast, and to further analyze its effects on the formation of osteoclast. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A contrast observational experiment was conducted in the laboratory of Institute of 2008.MATERIALS: Cancellous bone in anterior superior lilac spine was obtained from adult normal by surgery for cell incubation. Clinical samples were provided by the Xiangya Hospital. METHODS: Human osteoblast was incubated with different doses of adiponcetin (0, 3, 10 and 30 mg/L) for 48 hours, after which OPG and RANKL mRNA and protein expression level was determined. In addition, adiponcetin was added into the co-culture system of osteoblast and peripheral blood monouclear cells for examing its effects on osteoclast formation. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: OPG and RANKL mRNA and protein expression in human osteoblast was determined using fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Osteoclast was detected by antitartaric acid acid phosphatase staining. RESULTS: Adiponcetin inhibited osteoblast OPG mRNA and protein expression in a dose-dependent way (P < 0.05). Adiponcetin promoted osteoblast RANKL mRNA and protein expression in a dose-dependent way (P < 0.05). Adiponectin induced the osteoclasts formation in the co-culture system of osteoblast and peripheral blood monouclear cells. CONCLUSION: Adiponectin has the effect of inducing osteoclast formation via stimulating RANKL expression and inhibiting OPG

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2015;(4):263-267
Objective To analyze the effects of puerperium pelvic floor muscle training on pelvic floor muscle strength and its clinical significance. Methods One hundred postpartum women were included, with full-term singleton pregnancies and with complete follow-up records from Obstetrics Department of Peking University First Hospital between March 1, 2013 and October 31, 2013. Women with vaginal birth and cesarean birth commenced pelvic floor muscle training twice a day from 24 and 72 h after delivery, respectively. According to the different training frequencies, the subjects were divided into three groups: never-training group, occasional-training group (<6 times per week) and regular-training group (≥6 times per week). All patients received pelvic floor muscle strength measurement 6-8 weeks after parturition. And the strength of type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ pelvic floor muscle fiber was divided into 0, Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴgrade. The abnormal strength of typeⅠand typeⅡpelvic floor muscle fiber standed for the grades lower thanⅢ. We compared the general conditions, delivery modes and abnormal ratio of type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ pelvic floor muscle fiber among the three groups, analyzed the relativity between the level of pelvic floor muscle fiber strength and pelvic floor muscle training frequency, and analyzed the influential factors of pelvic floor muscle fiber strength. Statistical analyses were performed by one-way ANOVA, rank-sum test, Pearson χ2 test, Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric test, Nemenyi test, Spearman rank correlation analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results There was no statistical difference in age, gestation at delivery, parity, body mass index before delivery, neonatal birth weight and delivery mode among the never-training group (21 cases), occasional-training group (30 cases) and regular-training group (49 cases) (all P > 0.05). There was no statistical difference in labor time of first, second and total stage and episiotomy rate among the vaginal birth cases of the three groups. The abnormal ratio of type Ⅰ muscle fiber strength among the three groups was 100% (21/21), 77% (23/30) and 6% (3/49), respectively, while that of type Ⅱ muscle fiber strength was 100% (21/21), 53% (16/30) and 20% (10/49), respectively. And there were significant statistical differences among the three groups (F=119.16 and 77.84, both P<0.01). Spearman rank correlation analysis indicated that the level of typeⅠand typeⅡmuscle fiber strength had a significant positive correlation with pelvic floor muscle training frequency (r=0.88 and 0.79, both P<0.01). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that pelvic floor muscle training was an influential factor for pelvic floor muscle strength level (95%CI:0.000-0.193, P<0.01). Conclusions Puerperium pelvic floor muscle training can help enhance the tension force of pelvic floor muscle, might benefiting the postpartum recovery of pelvic floor muscle function.
