1.Study on the capillaroscopy of human finger transnail- skin fold
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;390(10):25-26
The capillaroscopy is a method to early diagnose the symptoms of capillary spasm in the vibration. Beside of usual microscope M- 70 A of Soviet Union, any microscope can be used to illuminate and take the photograph of the capillary of finger transnail skin fold.

2.Some opinions of the measurement of the shaking perception by diapason C128 among the coal miners in Quang Ninh
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;392(12):14-16
A study on the shaking disease among coal miners in Quang Ninh was implemented by measurement of the shaking perception. The results found that the shaking perception of miners who have been working in coal mine for 5 years and over was significantly reduced compared with this of control. The test of shaking perception by diapason C128 is easy to use everywhere and has a specific significant for finding the shaking disease.

3.Investigation on the shaking hygiene in the coal miners in Quang Ninh province
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):86-89
The study aimed to evaluate the local shaking level and noising level in coal miners of Mong Duong, Khe Cham, Thong Nhat and Mao Khe in 8/2001. The results have shown that the coal miners were affected by shaking of drilling hamper. The shaking level was 1.7 m/s2, higher allowed level. In addition to, they were affected by the noise that was higher than this of allowed level.

4.HIV infection among surgical patients in Viet Duc hospital in the year 2003
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;0(3):22-24
25,873 patients, who came to VietDuc Hospital from Jan 1st 2003 to Dec 31st 2003, were performed HIV antibody tests. Result: among 25,297 samples are tested for HIV antibody, there were 292 cases HIV positive. The numbers of HIV infection among surgical patients in VietDuc Hospital increased day by day, accounted for 1.3% of patients underwent HIV antibody tests, especially the rate of HIV infection in young males (between 20 and 29 years old) was the highest. It is necessary to test HIV for pre-operative patients, special in high-risk people and to pay attention for health equipment, labour assurance for health care workers in hospital

5.Blood components and blood using status in surgical treatment at Viet Duc Hospital in period of 5 year (1998-2002)
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;472(2):22-24
The requirement of bloods in the treatment at the hospital enhanced from 1763 litres (year 1998) to 2783 litres (year 2002) with an average of > 231 litre each month. The use of diverse blood insolated components trended to increase but the quantity was still limited. The transfusion using blood isolated components partly was a solution of safety, of saving the cost and of high efficacy was considered by surgeon in modern transfusion technique. But autotransfusion was still not realized usually.

6.Study on ultrasound value on diagnostic of head pancreatic's tumors
Journal of Medical Research 2003;26(6):40-43
A comparative descriptive study was carried out on 80 patients diagnosed as pancrea head tumors. Ultrasound results were evaluated through operated and histopathological outcomes. Ultrasound diagnosis reached 96.1% of sensivity and 92.5% of accurracy, concerning the localization of the tumors the accuracy was 68%. Ultrasound sensitivity in the identification of the signs of infiltration in the neighbour tissues, in blood vessels, in gland was 12.5%, 11.8% and 8.8% respectively.

7.Computer tomography (CT) in the diagnosis of tumors of surrenal gland - A propose of 55 cases
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;425(5):32-35
A retrospective study on 55 subjects with surrenal gland tumors diagnosed by CT showed that the tumors are commonly benign and pheocromocytoma was detected lately with a large size (> 3 cm, accounted for 73.5%). Heterogenous structure of the tumors before and after the injection of the contrasts showed characterustic sign of pheocromocytoma. The CT procedure has had a sensitivity of 100% and a positive predictive value of 89%. In the diagnosis of ganglion metastasis, these ratios were 2/3 and 99% respectively, in the evaluation of infiltration into the liver and the right kidney, these ratios were 58.30% and 95% respectively

8.Study on the value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of the tumors of pancrea head
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;442(2):67-68
From April 1998 to June 2001, ultrasound had diagnosed the tumors at the pancrea head in 80 patients and they were operated at Viet Duc Hospital. Among these subjects, there were 43 tumors of pancrea head, 14 tumors of inferior part of common bile duct, 18 tumors ooffvater ampulla, 2 tumors of duodenal, 2 chronical pancreatitis and 1 unspecific fibroma of liver external bile duct. Among 77 patients of tumor of pancrea head definitely diagnosed, there are 3 falsely positive cases and 3 negative cases by ultrasound. In 48 patients invasive structures in vessal bundle of superior mesenteriolum were diagnosed by surgery. Thus detecting pancrea head tumors, ultrasonic technique is a convenient and simple method with a sensibility of 96.1%

9.The study on free hemoglobin concentrations in surgical patients with massive blood transfusion
Journal of Medical Research 2007;51(4):73-78
Background: Hemoglobin is a composition of erythrocyte. They are released from the lysis of erythrocyte. Objectives: to study free hemoglobin concentrations in surgical patients received massive blood transfusion (MBT). Subject and methods: 48 adult patients (male: 31 (64.6%), female: 17 (35.4%), mean age: 36 \xb1 16) with more than 3000ml of storage blood were tested for plasma free hemoglobin. The major reason for MBT were severe trauma (45.8%), the remainder were non - trauma. The change of Hb free was followed in 16 patients at the times of 1500 ml, 2000 ml, 3000 ml storage blood transfused (9 \xb1 3 days). Results: Plasma free hemoglobin was detected after 2,000ml of red cell transfusion and during the first 24h post MBT in 100% cases. Plasma free hemoglobin concentration trended to increase with quantity of transfused blood (0.56 \xb1 0.3 g/dl after 2000 ml, 0.76 \xb1 0.47 g/dl after 3000 ml, and 0.93 \xb1 0.41 g/dl after 5000 ml). There was no correlation between free hemoglobin concentration in plasma of patients with the storage time of blood transfused, and no difference of plasma free hemoglobin concentration between in trauma and non trauma patients. Conclusion: The blood with short time of storage is recommended after 1500ml blood transfusion in these patients. \r\n', u'\r\n', u'

10.Mortality and the factors related to the death in surgical patients with massive blood transfusion
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(1):19-24
Background: Massive Blood Transfusion is common in surgery, which can save many lives. However, massive blood transfusion in a short time together with other disorders can cause serious side effects and death. Objective: Investigation on the factors related to mortality in surgical patients after massive blood transfusion. Subject and Method: A descriptive study was carried out on 90 patients of massive blood transfusion in Viet Duc hospital. Results: There were 38 cases of death among the 90 patients of massive blood transfusion (42%), in which 97.7% died within 2 to 24 days of hospitalization (caused by multi organ failure). There are no correlation between the deaths, with the units of blood transfused, hypothermia, anemia (Hb) and with platelet counts, APTT, PT, fibrinogen changes, 3 risk factors that correlated significantly with mortality are BE, DIC and age of patients. Conclusion: Acidosis (pH, BE) and hemostasis status should be closely monitored and corrected early to reduce the risks of mortality.
