1.A study on the simulator for the circulatory system

AIM For the evaluation of algorithms for circulator drug delivery, a new simulator was developed. METHODS The Clement Yu's non-linear canine circulatory system model was modified for the use of the part of digital dog of the simulator. And the other parts of the simulator were built by the means of object-oriented designing (OOD) with Visual C++ language. The proportion of mean arterial blood pressure in the range of?0.667 kPa of the object value was contracted to T_ MAP , and the average value of integral of excess of the range above was contract to S_ MAP . The difference of T_ MAP and S_ MAP of SPN MMAC(Multiple Model Adaptive Control) controlled hypotension and SPN constant-rate-controlled hypotension had been studied in vivo. This process was repeated in simulation system. The difference of simulator and animal experiments was studied while they were evaluating the SNP MMAC algorithms for controlled hypotension. RESULTS The mean arterial blood pressure graphs of the simulator and animal experiments acted similarly when they evaluated the SNP MMAC algorithms. The graph of mean arterial blood pressure of simulation was similar to that of the animal experiment when the MMAC was evaluated. CONCLUSION The new simulator can evaluate algorithms for circulator drug delivery and it's helpful to the building of such systems.-
2.Evaluation of application of pooling nucleic acid amplification testing in men who have sex with men population in China

Objective To evaluate the application of pooling HIV nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT) among men who had sex with men (MSM) population, and to investigate suitable HIV screening strategy and the feasibility of calculation of HIV incidence using pooling NAAT among MSM population in China.Methods Four thousand eight hundred and fifty-six samples were collected from MSM population from April 2008 to September 2009 among with 4 156 were in Heilongjiang province and 700 were in Beijing in China. After standard testing with an HIV ELISA and WB confirmation testing, HIV antibody-negative samples were pooled and screened for HIV using NAAT.A three-stage pooling strategy was adopted.The HIV positive rate estimated by the four HIV screening strategies was calculated.In addition, 4 156 HIV positive specimens from Heilongjiang province were screened with the BED capture enzyme immunoassay (BED-CEIA).The HIV-1 incidences were estimated by BED-CEIA assay and pooling NAAT individually.ResultsOne hundred and forty-three of 4 856 subjects were HIV infected.130 were 3rd and 4th generation ELISA positive; 13 were antibody-negative but acutely HIV infected.According to the evaluation of four HIV screening strategies, routine HIV screening test together with pooling NAAT was more effective than other strategies for screening out window period generation ELISA+WB+pooling NAAT' were 2.68%(95% confidence interval CI=2.22%-3.14%), 2.82%(95%CI=2.35%-3.29%), 2.94%(95%CI=2.46%-3.42%) and 2.94%(95%CI=2.46%-3.42%), respectively.The differences were not significant (χ2=0.854 3, P=0.836 4).Of the 88 HIV positive samples from Heilongjiang province, 44 participants were tested as recent HIV infections by BED-CEIA assay. The estimated HIV-1 incidence was 2.36% (95%CI=1.63%-3.08%) and 2.92% (95%CI=1.01%-4.83%) based on BED-CEIA assay and pooling NAAT,respectively.Conclusions Pooling NAAT is a effective screening test in HIV negative population to detect window period infection among MSM population in China.
3.The results of proficiency test of HIV-1 viral load testing laboratories in China from 2005 to 2019

Objective:To evaluate the testing capacity of HIV-1 viral load testing laboratories, and to provide data references for further improving the accuracy of laboratory test result in China.Methods:The test result of 155 positive samples distributed by the National AIDS Reference Laboratory to each laboratory from 2005 to 2019 were summarized and grouped according to the test assay and sample number. The independent sample t-test was used to evaluate the economic status and the proficiency testing (PT) assessment period on the stability of the test results. And, one-way analysis of variance was used to evaluate the influence of the types of laboratories and reagents on the stability of test results.Results:The number of HIV-1 viral load testing laboratories increased from 13 in 2005 to 267 in 2019. The participating institutions were mainly centers for disease control and prevention(CDC)and hospitals. Since 2015, the excellent rate of laboratories has remained above 85%, and the unqualified rate has remained below 3%. The associated factor analysis showed that the laboratory testing stability of HIV-1 viral load associated with the PT assessment period and the types of testing reagents, and the laboratories participating in the PT assessment for more than 5 years showed better stability.Conclusions:Participating in the annual proficiency testing program helped improve the laboratory capability of HIV-1 viral load testing in China.
4.Screening for virulence strains of Metarhizium against Dorysthenes hydropicus pascoes.

OBJECTIVEThe aim of the present study was to screen the Metarhizium strains with high virulence against the larvae of Dorysthenes hydropicus, a serious pest of Citrus grandis.
METHODThirty six strains of Metarhiziums were isolated from the soil of C. grandis GAP base and collected from other institutions, and the pathogenicity of these strains against 1st instar larvae of D. hydropicus was detected at concentration of 1 x 10(8) conidia/g. The high violence strains against D. hydropicus were cultivated in sabouraud dextrose yeast medium at first, then transfer to rice grain. And the sporulations of these violent strains against D. hydropicus were detected.
RESULTTwenty-eight strains showed virulence against D. hydropicus by preliminary study, and 7 strains of them were collected for further study, 6 of the 7 showed high virulence, the highest cadaver rate was higher than 74%. The conidia production of strain 1 and strain 4 were 2.35 +/- 0. 25 (1 x 10(9) conidia/g), 2.21 +/- 0.27 (1 x 10(9) conidia/g), respectively, showed significantly higher than other strains.
CONCLUSIONStrain 1 and strain 4 of the 36 Metarhiziums strains showed high virulence against D. hydropicus, and the highest sporulation ability, so they have a best application prospect.
