Objective To verify the association of a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain 33 (ADAM33) polymorphisms in childhood asthma susceptibility and severity in patients with moderate and severe asthma. Methods A total of 144 controls and 110 asthmatic patients were recruited for this hospitalbased case-control study. Two polymorphic sites (V4,T2) were genotyped using the polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method. The gene-gene interactions were analyzed with the multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR) software. Results The allele frequencies of three SNPs (V4,T2) of ADAM33 in childhood asthma group were significantly higher than control group (P < 0.01,OR =2.36 ~ 2.96,95% CI:1.56-1.78 ~ 3.56-4.94).For the SNPs V4,GC genotype frequencies of both moderate and severe groups were significantly higher from the control group (P < 0.05) ; the CC genotype frequencies in severe group were significantly higher than control group (P < 0.05) ; the genotype GA of T2 locus in severe group and AA genotype frequencies in moderate group were significantly higher than control group (P <0.01 ~0.05) ; there were no significant differences for both allele and genotype frequencies of S2 locus between the childhood asthma and control group (P > 0.05).By MDR analysis, the best interaction model was the four-factor model that the V4,T2 genotypes were the subgroup to predict asthma risk. Conclusions Our results highlight the role of ADAM33 as a susceptibility gene for childhood asthma, and the interactions among ADAM33 V4 and T2 are also associated with childhood asthma.

Objective:
To understand the situation of school health staff and the allocation of health equipment in primary and secondary schools in Jinan.
Methods:
A questionnaire survey was conducted in CDC and public primary and secondary schools to describe the situation of the school health staff and health equipment in primary and secondary schools.
Results:
There were 23 school health staffs in CDC, among which 26.1% were full time. The total staffing ratio of school doctors was 13.9%, with the compliance rate of 19.8%. The total allocation rate of health care teachers was 74.7%, 92.2% of them were part time. The total staffing ratio of school doctors in boarding schools was 20.0%, with a staffing compliance rate of 12.5%. The total allocation rate of school doctors and health care teachers in boarding schools was 66.7%. 16.8% of public primary and secondary schools and 23.3% of public boarding primary and secondary schools did not have any health staffs. 27.6% of public primary and secondary schools are equipped with infirmary, 70.8% with health rooms, and 10.3% without any. The configuration of necessary equipment in infirmary and health care rooms were less than 100%.
Conclusion
There is a serious shortage of school health staffs and health equipment in primary and secondary schools in Jinan. Attention and investment in school health should be strengthened, and resources should be rationally allocated to ensure the health of primary and secondary school students.

Objective:To investigate the effects of targeted artery perfusion of verapamil and chemotherapy drugs on advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods:Sixty patients with advanced NSCLC who were admitted to the Central Hospital of Zhumadian from April 2016 to April 2018 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the observation group (26 cases) and the control group (34 cases) according to the treatment method. Patients in the observation group were treated with targeted artery perfusion of verapamil and chemotherapy drugs while the control group were treated with target artery perfusion of chemotherapy drugs alone. Both groups were treated continuously for more than 2 months. The short-term curative effect, adverse reactions, changes in immune function, levels of serum tumor markers and Karnofsky Performance Scale (KPS) scores before and after treatment as well as the prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results:The response rate and control rate in the observation group were 80.8% and 96.2%, higher than 55.9% and 76.5% in the control group ( P<0.05). After treatment, CD4 + levels and CD4 + /CD8 + in the observation group were (25.43±2.76)% and (0.88±0.11), lower than (27.56±2.79)% and (0.95±0.13) in the control group ( P<0.05). After treatment, serum levels of CEA and CA50 in the observation group were (11.57±2.32)ng/ml and (16.62±3.28)U/ml, also lower than (15.87±2.66)ng/ml and (20.31±3.42)U/ml in the control group ( P<0.05). There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups ( P>0.05). After treatment, KPS score of the observation group was (81.44±2.76) points, higher than (79.62±2.38) points of the control group ( P<0.05). The median survival time and progression-free median survival time of the observation group were 16.0 months and 7.5 months, respectively, significantly better than 10.0 months and 5.0 months of the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The treatment with target arterial perfusion of verapamil and chemotherapy drugs for advanced NSCLC can effectively improve the short-term curative effect, reduce serum levels of tumor markers, improve life quality and prolong the survival time. However, it has a certain inhibitory effect on the patient′s immune function.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine on common type of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID -19) in Henan Province. Methods:A prospective single arm clinical study was performed. Patients with common type of COVID -19 admitted to seven designated hospitals for COVID -19 in Henan Province from January 25th to February 26th, 2020 were enrolled, and treated with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The negative transformation of 2019 novel coronavirus (2019 -nCoV) nucleic acid, disease outcome, hospital stay, clinical symptoms and signs scores, and chest imaging performance were observed. Results:Totally 86 cases were included in the analysis, including 48 males (55.8%), aged 43.5 (35.0, 53.3) years old, 24 patients (27.9%) with previous medical history. Fifty-eight patients were primarily diagnosed COVID -19 and 28 patients were transferred. The 2019 -nCoV nucleic acid of 86 cases (100%) turned negative, and the median time of turning negative was 10 (7, 14) days. Eighty-six cases (100%) were discharged from hospital, and none turned into the severe type; the average length of hospital stay was (13.8±5.6) days. The scores of fever, cough, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and fatigue decreased with the treatment time, and the scores of 7 days and 14 days after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment [fever (points): 0 (0, 0), 0 (0, 0) vs. 1 (0, 1); cough (points): 1 (0, 1), 0 (0, 1) vs. 1 (0, 2); chest tightness (points): 0 (0, 0), 0 (0, 0) vs. 0 (0, 1); shortness of breath (points): 0 (0, 0), 0 (0, 0) vs. 0 (0, 1); fatigue (points): 0 (0, 1), 0 (0, 1) vs. 1 (0, 1); all P < 0.05]. The improvement rate of X ray and CT image was 42.9% (12/28) and 81.0% (64/79), respectively. Conclusions:The treatment with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine has good curative effect on common type of COVID -19 in 7 designated hospitals of Henan Province. It can improve the clinical symptoms, promote the absorption of pulmonary inflammation, and to some extent control the progress of disease and shorten the time of turning negative of virus nucleic acid and hospital stay.
