1.Protective effect of leptin on injured organ
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(7):467-470
Leptin,a peptide hormone synthesized and secreted primarily by adipose tissue, plays an important role in the regulation of body weight, metabolic and endocrine responses. It has emerged recently as a protective factor in multiple organ resistance to injury. We reviewed the protective effect of leptin and its possible mechanism.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(10):-
The theory of Constructivism was applied in different aspects of clinical teaching of surgery. The lessons were designed according to the character of students.Problem solving was emphasized during the course of teaching. An interactive and cooperative atmosphere was constructed. And a variety of additional related materials were provided. All these measures made the teaching activity more accord with the objective rule of clinical knowledge learning.Hence a better teaching effect was achieved.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(12):-
To improve the teaching quality of advanced students on minimally invasive surgery is important for the generalization of new techniques on this subject. The teaching plan should be made according to the academic level of these students. Both theory learning and clinical practice should be emphasized.Multimedia tools should be adopted and English teaching should not be neglected. All these means help to better the teaching quality of advanced students on minimally invasive surgery.

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy and safety of acupuncture therapy on moderate and severe allergic rhinitis via the comparison evaluation of western medicine.
METHODSSixty cases of moderate and severe allergic rhinitis were divided into an acupuncture group (30 cases) and a western medicine group (30 cases). In the acupuncture group, the main acupoints included Yingxiang (LI 20), Shangxing (GV 23), Fengchi (GB 20), Quchi (LI 11), Xuehai (SP 10), Feishu (BL 13), Geshu (BL 17), Pishu (BL 20), etc. The supplementary points were selected according to syndrome differentiation. In the western medicine group, budesonide nasal spray and cetirizine tablets were prescribed. All the cases were treated for 8 weeks in the two groups. Separately, before treatment, in 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms and physical signs were observed and the clinical efficacy and safety were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSIn 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment, the scores of symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, nasal itching, eye itching and turbinate hypertrophy, the score of physical signs and total score were all reduced apparently as compared with those before treatment (all P<0. 05). The differences were not significant between the acupuncture group and the western medicine group (all P>0. 05). The total effective rates were 90. 0% (27/30) and 93. 4% (28/30) in the acupuncture group after 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, and were 76. 6% (23/30) and 80. 0% (24/30) in the western medicine group separately, without significant difference in comparison (all P>0. 05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture achieves the similar efficacy on moderate and severe allergic rhinitis as western medicine. It is the safe therapy and has no apparent adverse reactions.

Objective To study the effect of enhanced MK gene expression in hepatic carcinoma cells. Methods The recombinant plasmid pIRES2-EGFP-MK was transfected into SMMC 7721 cells. The mRNA and protein expression levels of MK gene in these cells were determined by real-time PCR,Western blotting and flow cytometry. The intracellular DNR accumulation of these cells was measured by flow cytometry. To investigate the effect of MK gene mediated multidrug resistance,MTT assay was employed to determine the cellular sensitivity of different chemotherapeutic drugs in MK-overexpressed SMMC 7721 cells. Results The mRNA and protein expression levels of MK gene significantly increased after the recombinant plasmid pIRES2-EGFP-MK transfected into SMMC 7721 cells, suggesting that the recombinant plasmid pIRES2-EGFP-MK can enhance the transcription of MK effectively. The DNR accumulation of MK transfected cells decreased significantly (4.06 ± 0.88,P < 0.05),and IC50 of MK transfected cells to ADM/5-FU increased significantly (15 ± 3,27 ± 4,P < 0.05).Conclusions After the recombinant plasmid pIRES2-EGFP-MK transfected into hepatic carcinoma cells, expression of midkine increased, enhancing the resistance of hepatic carcinoma cells to chemotherapeutic drugs.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2020;27(2):138-141
Objective:
To explore the clinical value of magnetic resonance T2-mapping imaging in the diagnosis of early intervertebral disc degeneration in obese people.
Methods:
From January 2018 to June 2019, 30 obese volunteers and 30 healthy volunteers with normal weight underwent T2-mapping scan, while their routine MRI examination showed no abnormalities were slected. The T2 value of nucleus pulposus in both two groups were measured and compared.
Results:
The T2 values of nucleus pulposus of intervertebral disc of lumbar 1-2, lumbar 2-3, lumbar 3-4, lumbar 4-5 and lumbar 5-sacral 1 in the control group were (108.17±10.87)ms, (113.93±11.54)ms, (126.65±10.22)ms, (118.62±8.86)ms and (111.61±10.65)ms, respectively, which of nucleus pulposus in different segments was statistically significant(

Due to the decline of motor ability and the impact of the diseases, abnormalities in gait is common in the elderly population, which will raise the risk of fall and cause serious injury. This study focuses on the analysis of the gait kinematics parameters of normal adults' gait, aiming to investigate the characteristics of gait parameters in different age groups and to explore the role of gait parameters in motor function assessment and clinical diagnosis. Based on the gait data gained by electronic walkway, the relationship among the toe out angles and their correlation with age and gender etc. were quantitatively analyzed. The results show that most normal subjects walk with positive toe out angles, and the angles increase with age. Such changes are slow in the young and middle age groups. However, the elevations of the left out toe angle and the angles between the feet are statistically significant after entering elder age ( >60 years). The results also suggest that the angle between the feet is a kind of practical gait parameter for varying applications. This study concludes that feet angle analysis is potential to provide a convenient and quantitative tool for the assessment of lower limb motor ability and the diagnosis of knee joint diseases.
