Objective To observe the clinical effect of mouse nerve growth factor on protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral disc (LDP) treated with operation. Methods 60 cases with LDP received posterior lamina resection nucleus pulposus decompression excise pedicle screws fixation, in which 30 cases (the treatment group) accepted mouse nerve growth factor for 30 d. Their symptoms and signs, visual analogue score (VAS) for pain, and the electromyogram were recorded before and after treatment. Results The VAS in the treatment group improved more than in control group (P<0.05). the incidence of cure and improvement (76.7%) was higher than in the control group (50.0%)(P<0.05). The nerve conduction velocity and action potential of main muscle group also improved more in the treatment group (P<0.05).Conclusion Mouse nerve growth factor can improve the recovery of pain as well as the neural function in patients after operation for LDP.

Objective Sarcandra glabra is a widely-used Chinese medicinal herb, but the wild germplasm resources were decreasing. In order to protect the germplasm resources, the genetic diversity and genetic relationship among the various provenances should be analyzed. Methods ISSR Molecular markers were used to analyze the genetic diversity of S.glabra collected from eight provenances. The genetic diversity, genetic distance, and cluster analysis were performed by Popgen32 software and UPCMA method. Results Ten screened polymorphic primers were used in ISSR-PCR and 111 bands were amplified, among them including 106 polymorphic bands that were about 95.50%.Genetic distance of eight different provenances were ranged from 0.034 7—0.185 0.The genetic diversity of S.glabra mainly came from the interior variation of every provenance, for Gst=0.340 3.Conclusion Provenances of S.glabra can be divided into two groups and based on the relationship of genetic distance and altitude, the provenances can be divieded as follows:correspondingly higher altitude group(800-900 m);correspondingly lower altitude group(250-300 m);middling altitude group(600 m).

Objective:To investigate the activation of peripheral basophils from patients with rheumatoid arthritis ( RA) and its mechanisms. Methods:The activation markers including CD203c and the proportion of IL-4 positive rate of peripheral basophils from RA patients and healthy controls were detected by flow cytometry. Serum levels of IgE in RA patients and healthy controls were detected by electrochemilu minescence immunoassay. Basophils were negatively isolated and co-cultured with or without purified IgE,anti-IgE as positive control, then, the expression of CD203c and propotion of IL-4 positive basophils were detected by flow cytometry. Results:The expression of CD203c and IL-4 positive rate of basophils from RA patients were higher than that of healthy controls (P<0. 05). Serum levels of IgE in RA were higher than that of healthy controls (P<0. 05). After co-cultured with isolated IgE from RA patients, basophils negatively isolated from healthy controls were activated, and higher expression of CD203c and proportion of IL-4 (P<0.05). Conclusion:Basophil activation is related with development of RA,and its activation is mainly mediated by IgE. Targeting basophil and its activation pathway would be expected to provide new strategies for the treatment of RA.

Driven by multiple factors such as policy incentives, enhanced economic capacity of residents, aging popula-tion,and medical system reform,China's rehabilitation industry has been in a rapid development stage where opportunities and challenges coexist.Various rehabilitation hospitals urgently need new development thinking on how to seize the new opportunities for the development of rehabilitation medicine, give full play to the benefits of high-quality rehabilitation medical resources, and deal with the development of rehabilitation institutions under the new situation.Taking the tertiary rehabilitation hospital where the authors work as an example, this paper deeply analyzes the practical difficulties and challenges faced by the development of reha-bilitation hospital under the new circumstance, further explores the construction of a new working mode based on people-oriented and medical-rehabilitation integration. It also briefly summarizes the beneficial experiences and practices in the reform of rehabili-tation service models, and elaborates on the periodic achievement,so as to provide a meaningful reference for the majority of re-habilitation hospitals to plan and practice high-quality development and reform.
