Pubmed (1990-2008) and China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) (1998-2008) were searched for relevant articles on localization of skin stem cells. A total of 44 articles revealed that hair follicle bulge cells that are label-retaining cells regenerate themselves by division and can give rise to differentiated progeny. They did not express characteristic markers of differentiated cells, but stem cells markers. Therefore hair follicle bulge region was considered to be epidermal stem cells niche. Hair follicle dermal sheath housed multipotent and plastic stem cells, considered to be dermal stem cells niche. Hair follicle dermal papilla interacted with dermal sheath to induce the formation of hair follicle. It is believed that precursor cells in dermal papilla harvested from dermal sheath stem cells are the active daughter cells. Whether skin stem cells are present in hair follicle and hairless region is under debate. Some studies found that skin stem cells were detected in the basal layer of epidermis in hair follicle.

AIM: To observe the influences of Jianwei Yuyang Pills(Radix pseudostellariae,Pericarpium citri reticulatae,Rhizoma dioscoreae, Fructus hordei germinatus,and Fructus crataegi) on the recurrence of peptic ulcer(PU),and the expressions of IL-1 and analyze its potential mechanism. METHODS: Thirty-six patients with gastric ulcer were chosen as Jianwei Yuyang Pills treatment group.In addition,the normal control group was set up(12 cases).The biospy specimens of gastric mucosa was detected to observe the change in immunohischemistry of IL-1 and in the contents of ninohexose and phosphatide of ulcerated gastric mucosa. Objective To investigate the mid-term effect of SolitaireAB stent-assisted interventional embolization with spring coils for the treatment of intracranial wide-necked aneurysms. Methods During the period from May 2009 to April 2013, a total of 49 patients with intracranial wide-necked aneurysm (49 aneurysms in total) received SolitaireAB stent-assisted interventional embolization treatment at authors’ hospital. In 41 patients, a total of 41 aneurysms were detected, of which ruptured aneurysm with bleeding was confirmed in 26 and un-ruptured aneurysm in 15. These 41 patients were followed up for 12-48 months. Based on modified Rankin scoring and DSA, CTA or MRA manifestations, the clinical results were evaluated. Results After the embolization treatment, re-bleeding of the aneurysm occurred in 2 cases, cerebral infarction in 3 cases, occlusion of the parent artery in one case and death in one case; the occurrence rate of complications was 14.2%. DSA, MRA or CTA performed at 12 months after the embolization treatment, showed that 32 aneurysms (78.0%) were completely obstructed, which was obviously higher than that observed on DSA performed immediately after the embolization procedure (21 aneurysms, 42.9%), the difference was statistically significant (P=0.02);residue of aneurismal neck was seen in 7 cases (17.1%) and partial occlusion in 2 cases (4.9%), which were much better than those observed on DSA that was performed immediately after the embolization procedure. Twenty-four aneurysms (58.5%) remained stable, showing no any change, and recurrence of aneurysm was observed in 4 cases (9.7%). At the last follow-up exam, the modified Rankin scoring showed that 0 point was seen in 18 cases (43.9%), one point in 10 cases (24.4%), 2 points in 5 cases (12.2%), 3 points in 4 cases (9.8%), 4 points in 2 cases (4.85%) and 5 points in 2 cases (4.85%). The self-care rate for daily activities was 80.5%, the prognosis was good. Conclusion For the treatment of intracranial wide-necked aneurysms, SolitaireAB stent-assisted interventional embolization with spring coils is safe and effective. This technique can improve the embolization rate and reduce the procedure-related complications.

Objective In order to find out certain properate training model for nursing students' ability of general health education.Methods Carried out a one to one teaching model which based on the problem-based learning methods in 900 nursing students,and then evaluated the teaching effects by examination and questionnaire investigation.Results The health education capability of nursing students had promoted significantly,the qualification rate was 100%,nursing students'satisfactory rate for the training model was 100%.Conclusions This training model is feasible and effective in promoting the capability of nursing students in health education.

Objective To investigate the vaginal microbilme characterization in women with human papillomavirus(HPV)16 and 18 infection and high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods Three groups were set,including control group(without HPV infection and with colpitis),low-grade CIN group(with HPV 16 or/and 18 infection),and high-grade CIN group(with HPV 16 or/and 18 infection).Virginal microbial composition was determined by using 16S rRNA amplication sequencing and hierarchical clustering analysis among three groups was applied.Rank sum test was used to determine statistical significance.Results Diversity and complexity of bacteria was significantly elevated in high-grade group.Compared with the control,the growth of Lactobacillus crispatus(L.crispatus) and Lactobacillus casei(L.casei) was significantly decreased,while Lactobacillus iners(L.iners) was significantly increased in low-grade CIN group and high-grade CIN group,and both were proportionally correlated to the grade of the disease.Brucella canis(B.canis),as colonized bacteria,was significantly decreased in both low-grade and high-grade CIN groups,and the changes were proportional to the grade of disease.The growth of Dialistersuccinatiphilus(D.succinatiphilus),Gardnerella vaginalis(G.vaginalis) and Prevotellabivia(P.bivia) were significantly elevated and proportional to the grade of disease.Conclusion The diversity and complexity of virginal microbial composition could be significantly expanded in women with HPV infection and high-grade CIN.In contrast to the important role of lactobacillus in virginal health,L.inners could be pathogenic.The colonization of B.canis,D.succinatiphilus,G.vaginalis and P.bivia might be highly correlated with HPV chronic infection and further development of CIN.

Objective To investigate the correlation between autophagy related gene(ATG) locus polymorphism and the pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) susceptibility according to the frequency distribution characteristics of autophagy related gene in the patients with PTB.Methods Eighteen single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) loci of autophagy related genes in 202 patients with PTB as the case group and 222 healthy controls were genotyped by SequenomMassArray mass spectrometry array technology.The correlation between the each locus genotype and the PTB susceptibility was statistically analyzed.Results In the PTB patients group and healthy control group,after correcting the factors of sex and age,the binary Logistic regression analysis found that the frequency distribution of genotype and allele had statistical difference between rs5973822 and rs807185 sites in ATG4A gene (P＜0.05).The stratified analysis by body mass index (BMI) found that this difference was more significant in the high BMI population,moreover the distribution frequency in the patient group was lower than that in the control group,and the other 16 SNP loci had no statistical difference.Conclusion ATG4A gene rs5973822 and rs807185 loci polymorphism may be negatively correlated with PTB susceptibility,moreover which is more significant in the high BMI group.

Therefore, the method of promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction and the Qing Ying detoxication was established as the basic treatment, and Danshen Tongluo Jiedu Decoction is applied as the main formula. According to the different types of disease and syndrome differentiation, flexible modification can achieve good efficacy. It is expected that these will provide new ideas and methods for clinical treatment of acute coronary syndrome.
