OBJECTIVETo explore the therapeutic efficacy of a modified method with splints in correction of cryptotia.

METHODSFrom Oct. 2012 to Jan. 2014, 3 cases with unilateral cryptotia were treated with the modified method with splints. The muscles attached to the periosteum of cartilage were dissected. The muscles between the ear and temper were cut off. Then one silicon tube was put around the ear through cranioauricular sulcus. The other tube was placed within the cavum conchae and fixed with the tube around the ear.

RESULTSNo flap necrosis happened. The patients were followed up for six months to one year with satisfied and stable results.

CONCLUSIONSThe modified method is easy to perform with less morbidity. It is one of the ideal correction for cryptotia.

Objective To study the effect of thymosin α1 combined with Xuebijing injection on the levels of serum CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 in severe pneumonia complicated with sepsis.Methods 77 severe sepsis patients with sepsis from September 2014 to August 2016 were enrolled in the study.They were divided into observation group (n=39) and control group (n=38) .Patients were given early active anti-infection, nutritional support and liquid resuscitation and other comprehensive treatment, while the control group of patients with intravenous infusion of 50 mL Xuebijing injection, while the observation group with 1.6 mg thymosinα1 subcutaneous injection on the basis of control group.The levels of CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 were compared between the two groups, and the clinical effect was analyzed comprehensively .Results There was no significant difference in the levels of CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 between the two groups before treatment.After treatment, the levels of CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 levels in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group (84.6%) was significantly higher than that of the control group ( 57.9%) , the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion Thymosin α1 combined with Xuebijing injection in treatment of severe pneumonia with sepsis is effective, can decrease the CRP, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 levels of patient.

Objective To investigate the effects of ischemic preconditioning(IPC)on aged patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI). Methods 124 cases of AMI during hospitalization were divided into two groups: ischemic precondition group(IPC, n =68)with angina 48 hours before AMI; no ischemic precondition group (NIPC, n =56) without angina. To establish a new method for identifying genus of Lilium by DNA barcoding technology, ITS, ITS2, psbA-trnH, matK and rbcL sequences were analyzed in term of variation of inter- and intra-species, barcoding gap, neighbor-joining tree to distinguish genus of Lilium based on 978 sequences from experimental and GenBank database, and identification efficiency was evaluated by Nearest distance and BLAST1 methods. The results showed that DNA barcoding could identify different species in genus of Lilium. ITS sequence performed higher identification efficiency, and had significant difference between intra- and inter-species. And NJ tree could also divide species into different clades. Results indicate that DNA barcoding can identify genus of Lilium accurately. ITS sequence can be the optimal barcode to identify species of Lilium.

Objective To analyze the efficacy and safety of tirofiban treatment combined with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the elderly with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction prospectively. Methods From May 2008 to May 2010, 106 patients who presented with acute STEMI within 12 hours from onset and received successful primary PCI were enrolled into the study. All patients had angiographic evidence of initial total occlusion of infarct-related artery and finally restored toTIMI3 flow after PCI. All patients were divided into tirofiban group (n = 54) and control group (n = 52) according to whether tirofiban was used or not. Assessment of myocardial perfusion included Myocardial Blush Grades (MBG), and the resolution of the sum of ST-segment elevation (sumSTR) at 90 minutes after the procedure. Left ventricular ejection fraction (EF) was measured one week later. Major adverse cardiac events in hospital and bleeding complications were also assessed. Results Baseline clinical and angiographic characteristics of the two groups were similar. Significant higher rates of MBG 3 were observed in the tirofiban group (88. 9% vs57. 7%, P ＜ 0.05). Patients received tirofiban were more likely to achieve higher sumSTR (70. 3% vs 42. 3%, P ＜0. 05). Ejection fraction was also markedly increased in tirofiban group than control group (56. 2 ± 7.6 vs 46. 7 ± 8. 5, P ＜ 0. 05). In-hospital major adverse cardiac events, it was not different between the two groups(P ＞0. 05). There were slightly more minor bleeding complications in tirofiban group compared with control(11.1% vs 6. 0%, P ＞0. 05). No patient had major bleeding or thrombocytopenia.Conclusions Tirofiban can further ameliorate microvascular perfusion and it is safe and feasible for patients with STEMI undergoing primary PCI.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for determination of the contents of chlorogenic acid and baicalin in Shiwuwei Xiaoyanzhike oral liquid .METHODS:HPLC was used,the mobile phase was acetonitrile - acetic acid,the flow rate was 0.8ml/ min and the detecting wavelengths were 326nm and 274nm.RESULTS: The recoveries of chlorogenic acid and baicalin were 96.8% - 104.5% , 94.9% -97.7% and RSD were 1.09% -3.12% , 1.19% -1.76% (n = 3), respectively .CONCLUSION: The method is simple and feasible with a good reproducibility, the RESULTS: can provide a basis for establishing the quality standard of this oral liquid.

BACKGROUND:Recombinant human epidermal growth factor has been shown to promote granulation tissue formation and to accelerate the healing of burn wounds, but the antibacterial effect of recombinant human epidermal growth factor is limited. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of nano-silver dressing combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel in treatment of burns and the influence on the scar. METHODS:A total of 76 cases of shal ow II and depth II degree were randomly enrol ed and assigned to two groups. In the study group, recombinant human epidermal growth factor was coated on the surface of the wound, and then covered by nano-silver dressing. In the control group, recombinant human epidermal growth factor was coated on the surface of the wound, and covered by ordinary sterile gauze. The healing time, the positive rate of bacteria, scarring and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The wound healing time and the rate of hypertrophic scars after healing were lower in the study group than in the control group (P<0.01). The rate of flat scar was greater in the study group than in the control group after healing (P<0.01). The bacterial positive rate was significantly lower in the study group than in the control group at 7, 14 and 21 days after treatment (P<0.05). No significant difference in incidence of al ergies and local burning sensation was detected between the two groups (P>0.05). These data confirmed that recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel combined with nano-silver dressing in the treatment of burn has good efficacy and accelerates the wound healing, reduces scar formation, and improves aesthetics.

Objective To investigate the role and value of interleukin (IL)-17,receptor activator of nuclear factors κB-ligand (RANKL),osteoprotegerin (OPG) in the pathogenesis of AS by detecting the expression of IL-17,RANKL,OPG.Methods IL-17,RANKL,OPG in 44 AS and 15 healthy controls were measured by ELISA.HLA-B27 was measured by flow cytometry.T-test,Spearman's correlation analysis were used for statisical analysis.Results ① Serum IL-17 [(45±12) pg/ml],RANKL [(354±96) pg/ml] levels and RANKL/OPG [(6.5±3.4) pg/ml] ratio were significantly higher in AS patients than those in normal controls (t=11.18,P＜0.05; t=18.66,P＜0.05; t=15.48,P＜0.05),and the serum RANKL levels was higher in AS patients in middle and late period than that in AS patients in early stage (t=47.02,P＜0.05).The serum OPG levels was higher in AS patients in middle and late period than that in AS patients in early stage (t=15.48,P＜0.05).② There were positive linea correletion,respectively,between the serum levels of IL-17 and RANKL (r=0.532,P=O.021),and between serum levels of IL-17 and disease activities of BASDAI (r=0.625,P=0.023),between serum levels of RAN KL and disease activities of BASDAI (r=0.431,P=0.016).Conclusion The surem levels of IL-17 and RANKL are increased in AS patient.
