1.Progress on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV infection
Chinese Journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases 2014;7(1):81-84
Anti-retroviral (ARV) drugs have been successfully used for HIV/AIDS therapy, and their uses in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV infection is becoming increasingly important, and is drawing more attentions.Reports on seven large scale, multicentric clinical trials provide significant clinical data for further study and implementation of PrEP.This article reviews the current situation, necessity, questions, problems and prospects of PrEP for HIV infection.
2.Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation with Intervertbral Disc Version Operation
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(3):209-211
Objective To study the curative effect of gearing lumbar disc herniation with intecverthral disc version operation. Methods 220 patients were randomly recruited into a treatment group (with 120 patients) and a control group (with 100 patients). The treatment group was treated with intervertbral disc version operation, and the control group was treated with epidural injection combined with massage therapy. Evaluate the therapeutic effects at 1 week, three months, and one year after the treatment respectively. Results The therapeutic effect of at 1 week, three months, and one year after the treatment was 83.46%, 86.19%, 93.45% respectively in the treatment group, and 64.68%, 69.08%, 71.04% respectively in the control group. The difference between the two groups was significance. (P<0.05). Conclusion Intervertbral disc version operation was safe and effective in treating lumbar disc herniation.
3.Focus on fecal microbiota transplantation in children
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2017;32(7):481-483
Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)is a method to recover the gut microbiota and treat the intestinal or non-intestinal diseases through transplanting the fecal liquid from healthy population into patients' gastrointestinal tract. There are limited data about the FMT in children. The clinical practice needs professional workgroups, strict indications, normalized and precise procedures.
4.Research progress in environmental pharmacology
Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2016;30(9):983-988
In recent years, researches on drugs concentrated in the ecosystem have become a hot topic. Environmental pharmacology is a new subject studying the source and fate of drugs in the environment. It is found that a lot of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutically active compounds are released into the environment by the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals and agricultured activities. Drugs in the environment not only affect the ecosystem, which leads to bacterial resistance, but also affect the balance of flora in the biofilm. Furthermore, such drugs may induce epigenetic changes, which may leave to the body vulnerable to diseases. The enrichment of endocrine disruptors can inter?fere with the growth and function of the human reproductive system. China is becoming concerned about environmental drugs. The development of environmental pharmacology can help clarify the interac?tions between drugs and the environment while contributing to public health and food safety in China.
5.ARDs of Co-Salvia Miltiorrhiza Injection
China Pharmacy 1991;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the relevant factors contributing to ARDs of Co-Salvia Miltiorrhiza injection (CSMI).METHODS:The ARDs of CSMI,reported in domestic literature in recent years, were collected and analyzed.RESULTS:About 7 kinds of clinical manifestation of ARDs were reported,of which, the allergic reaction was the commonest one.CONCLUSION:Clinical physicians should pay attention to the ARDs of CSMI and rationally use the preparation.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2014;32(6):578-580
OBJECTIVEWe aim to explore the central auditory nervous system (CANS) functioning in children with nonsyndromic cleft palates by analyzing the auditory evoked potentials and event-related potentials (ERP).
METHODSA total of 34 children with nonsyndromic cleft palates were recruited as subjects, and 27 normally developed children were selected as the normal controls. Auditory brainstem response (ABR), middle latency response (MLR), and mismatch negativity (MMN) of ERP were selected as indices to observe the function of CANS in children in both groups.
RESULTSAstatistically significant difference between the groups was obtainedin the MMN recording (F = 227.69, P < 0.01), whereas no significant group differences were obtained in the ABR and MLR results (P > 0.05). Children with nonsyndromic cleft palates showed diminished MMN responses compared with the normal controls, whereas ABR and MLR were within the normal range.
CONCLUSIONChildren with nonsyndromic cleft palates are at risk of central auditory discrimination dysfunction. The significant abnormal event-related potentials recorded in children with cleft palates suggest that the dysfunction of CANS maybe located at the cortical level and normal function of CANS was located at the brain stem and sub-cortical level.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(06):-
Objective To discuss the clinical significance of nephroscopic surgery for simple renal cysts. Methods A 2~4 cm incision was made below the 12th costal interspace. Through the incision the nephroscopic decortication was performed in 26 patients with simple renal cyst. Results The operation time was 20~80 min (mean, 30 min) and the postoperative hospital stay, 3~)6 days (mean, 4 days). No blood transfusion was required and no severe complications were noted. Follow-up observations for 3~)12 months (mean, 8 months) in the 26 patients found no recurrence. Conclusions Mini-incision nephroscopic decortication for renal cysts is feasible and mini-invasive, with advantages of simplicity of performance and quick postoperative recovery.

China Medical Equipment 2016;13(7):133-136
Most of the transfusion adult outpatients are old people with chronic disease, and theirsmall blood vessels become less elastic with age. They need long course and repeated localised puncture site. On the base of that fact, the author describes the 5.5gauge scalp acupuncture and 7 gauge scalp acupuncture about their use on the patients. The 5.5 gauge scalp acupuncture is smaller and shorter, so it has the advantage of high success ratio and it is easier to be fixed. Additionally, the transfusion speed is easy to be controlled, which reduces the ratios of transfusion reaction and adverse drug reactions. The pinhole is small and can be healed faster. The congestion around the puncture location is less than that of the 7 scalp acupuncture. It can alleviate the pain for patients and increase satisfaction. To sum up, the 5.5 gauge scalp acupuncture should be used widely as we allocate“people oriented”and“All for the patients”.
