Objective To evaluate the timing of postoperative parenteral nutrition support for gastrointestinal tumor patients with a definite nutritional risk.Methods Using a randomized control clinical research methods,80 gastrointestinal cancer patients were randomly divided into study group (40 cases) and control group (40 cases).In the study group parenteral nutrition support started on postoperative day 2,while in the control group it started on postoperative day 1.Flatus passing,the rate of infectious complications,the rate of systemic inflammatory response syndrome,postoperative nutrition support related expenses,and the duration of postoperative hospital stay were recorded.Results There was no significant differences between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05) in age,sex,body mass index,use of glutamine,disease and type of surgery.Compared with the control group,patients in the study group had earlier postoperative flatus passing [(3.33± 1.10) d vs.(4.03 ± 1.51) d,P =0.020],less systemic inflammation response syndrome (8/40 vs.17/40,P =0.030),shorter postoperative hospital stay [(3.33±1.10) d vs.(4.03±1.51) d,P=0.020] and lower nutrition support costs [(2144.49 ±1210.96) RMB vs.(2915.99 ± 1615.68) RMB,P =0.018].There was no significant difference in postoperative nutrition index,peristalsis recovery time and infectious complications between the two groups (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions In patients undergoing surgery for GI tumors,parenteral nutrition support started on post-op day 2 promotes the recovery of gastrointestinal function,while decreasing medical cost.

Objective To analysis the effect of high dose metformin on serum HE4, LPA and regulatory T cells in patients with ovarian cancer.Methods 80 cases of unilateral ovarian cancer patients were given surgery and conventional chemotherapy ,were divided into four groups according to single metformin dose: (group A:0.25g each time, B group:0.25g each time, group C:0.25g each time; group D: conventional treatment only) and three times a day oral administration of metformin and two weeks in a row , before and after the treatment of detection each serum HE4, LPA, transformation growth factor beta 1 (TGF -beta 1), interleukin -10 (IL-10) content, and CD4 +CD25 +CD127 regulating T cell percentage.ResuIts Compared with B, C, and D group, the efficacy of patients in group A was better, as follows: Serum HE4 content decreased significantly ( P<0.05 ); serum LPA content decreased significantly ( P<0.05 ); blood CD4 +CD25 +CD127 regulatory T cell percentage decreased significantly ( P<0.05 ); serum TGF beta 1, IL-10 content decreased significantly ( P<0.05 ) .The results were statistically significant .ConcIusion High dose of metformin can reduce serum HE4 , LPA content, reduce the adjusting the percentage of T cells and related cytokines in patients with ovarian cancer , and play a positive role in inhibit cancer cell proliferation and invasion .

Brain computer interface is a control system between brain and outside devices by transforming electroencephalogram (EEG) signal. The brain computer interface system does not depend on the normal output pathways, such as peripheral nerve and muscle tissue, so it can provide a new way of the communication control for paralysis or nerve muscle damaged disabled persons. Steady state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) is one of non-invasive EEG signals, and it has been widely used in research in recent years. SSVEP is a kind of rhythmic brain activity simulated by continuous visual stimuli. SSVEP frequency is composed of a fixed visual stimulation frequency and its harmonic frequencies. The two-dimensional ensemble empirical mode decomposition (2D-EEMD) is an improved algorithm of the classical empirical mode decomposition (EMD) algorithm which extended the decomposition to two-dimensional direction. 2D-EEMD has been widely used in ocean hurricane, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), Lena image and other related image processing fields. The present study shown in this paper initiatively applies 2D-EEMD to SSVEP. The decomposition, the 2-D picture of intrinsic mode function (IMF), can show the SSVEP frequency clearly. The SSVEP IMFs which had filtered noise and artifacts were mapped into the head picture to reflect the time changing trend of brain responding visual stimuli, and to reflect responding intension based on different brain regions. The results showed that the occipital region had the strongest response. Finally, this study used short-time Fourier transform (STFT) to detect SSVEP frequency of the 2D-EEMD reconstructed signal, and the accuracy rate increased by 16%.

Objective:To develop non-immunized human phage display library.Methods:The total RNA of lymphocyte cells from peripheral blood of healthy voluntee was isolated and cDNA was synthesized,and the genes of heavy variable chain (VH) and light variable chain (V? and V?) were amplified by direct PCR and half-nested PCR.By overlapping extension PCR,the genes of VH and VL (V? and V?) were linked.The linked genes of single chain Fv fragment (scFv) were ligated with the vector pCANTAB-5E and then cloned into TG1 for the scFv library construction.Results:By direct PCR and half-nested PCR,42 VH fragments,16 V? and 18 V? fragments were obtained.The size of linked scFv library genes was 750 bp and the volume of constructed scFv library was 1.35?108.The results of BstN Ⅰ analysis of scFv genes from the phage library showed that fingerprint map of the selected scFvs was different.Conclusion:The developed phage library is diversity and can be used for selecting humanized scFv.

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of metformin therapy on obese nondiabetic children with hyperinsulinemia.Methods Twenty-two obese nondiabetic children with hyperinsulinemia were divided into two groups:control group(dietary counseling and exercise) and treatment group(dietary counseling and exercise combined with metformin).The changes of body mass index(BMI),fasting glucose(FPG),fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),2 h PG,2 h INS,total cholesterol(TC) and triglyceride(TG),before and after treatment were determined,and the findings were compared and analyzed.Results After treatment,there were significant differences in BMI,TC,FINS,HOMA-IR levels(P0.05),except the BMI(P

Objective:Expression of protein TSLP and selection of full human anti-TSLP single chain Fv ( scFv).Methods:The cDNA of TSLP was amplified.The amplified target gene and the expression vector pET 101/D-TOPO were ligated , and then transformed into E.coli BL21.The protein was induced to expression by IPTG and purified and identified.The biotinylated TSLP protein was used as antigen to select of human TSLP scFv from a constructed human scFv library by phage display .Results: The size of amplified cDNA of TSLP was about 423 bp,and that of expressed protein was about 26 kD.Dot blot and Western blot results showed that the expressed protein was correct.The constructed human scFv library was enriched for three rounds using biotinylated TSLP as antigen by phage display.ELISA results showed that 35% scFvs had binding activity with TSLP.The scFvs with good binding activity were selected and identified by Western blot and sequencing.Conclusion: The full human scFvs against for TSLP were selected suc-cessfully.
