Leukotriene receptor antagonist may play an important role in RSV bronchiolitis. However there still needs further research on the relationship between LTs and eosinophils count in the pathogenesis of RSV bronchiolitis.

Objective To observe the effects of treadmill training on the expression of axonal guidance factor Netrin-4 and its receptor deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) protein in the brains of rats with cerebral ischemia.Also to explore how training promotes the recovery of neurological function after cerebral ischemia.Methods Sixty-three adult, male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham group (n =9) , a model group (n =27) and an exercise group (n =27).A modified version of Longa's method was used to establish an animal model of cerebral ischemia by occluding the right middle cerebral artery (MCAO) in the rats of the model and exercise groups while the rats of the sham group were subjected to the same surgical procedure except that no thread was inserted.The rats of the exercise group were given treadmill training beginning 24 h after the modeling, while those of the other two groups were left on the treadmill without training.The rats' neurological functioning was tested by assigning modified neurological severity scores (mNSS) on the 3rd, 7th and 14th day after modeling.Then the ischemic brain tissue was dissected to detect the expression of Netrin-4 and DCC protein using western blotting and immunofluorescent staining and analysis.Results On the 3rd, 7th and 14th day after modeling, the model and exercise groups had significant differences in their average mNSS scores when compared to the sham group.The average mNSS scores of the exercise group on the 7th and the 14th day were significantly lower than those of the model group at the same time point.The average expression level of Netrin-4 and DCC protein in the exercise group was significantly higher in than the model group on the 7th and 14 th days.Immunofluorescent staining showed that Netrin-4 was mainly observed in the blood vessels and astrocytes in the ischemic brain area.DCC protein was found mainly in neural processes and astrocytes in the same area.Conclusions Treadmill training can improve the recovery of neurological function after cerebral ischemia.Its mechanisms may be partly attributed to up-regulating the expression of Netrin-4 and DCC protein in the ischemic brain area, which strengthens the regeneration and reconstruction of nerves and blood vessels.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of Huanglian shangqing soft capsule in the adjuvant treatment of in-flammation around the implant. METHODS:40 patients(72 implants)with inflammation around the implant were randomly divid-ed into control group (20 cases) and observation group (20 cases). Control group received full mouth supragingival scaling tech-nique,subgingival curettage,root planing,occlusal adjustment,loose teeth fixation or removal can not be reserved teeth using ul-trasonic scaler row scaling postoperative with 3% hydrogen peroxide,0.9% Sodium chloride injection alternately flushing periodon-tal pocket,removing residue until the inflammation control after the break-adjusted+appropriate amount of Minocycline hydrochlo-ride ointment,along with fine needles inserted into the periodontal pocket wall slowly until bag after pushed into the bottom of Mi-nocycline hydrochloride ointment,slow retreated the drug overflow until the gingival margin,no gargle and drinking water within half an hour,once a week. Observation group additionally received 1.2 g Huanglian shangqing soft capsules,twice a day. 4-week was regarded as 1 course,and it last 2 courses. Clinical efficacy,PLI,PD,SBI,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-2 and IL-17 levels before and af-ter treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS:The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment,the PLI, PD,SBI,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-2 and IL-17 levels in 2 groups were significantly lower than before,and observation group was lower than control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was significantly higher than control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05),but the symptoms were mild. CONCLUSIONS:Based on conventional treatment,Huanglian shangqing soft capsule shows significant efficacy in the adjuvant treatment of inflammation around the implant,it can reduce inflammatory cytokine levels in gingival sulcus fluid,but with more ad-verse reactions.

Objective: To develop a novel fast auto blood viscosity analyzer based on the relation between flow rate and Casson viscosity of non-Newton fluid such as blood. Methods: Different from the tradition friction method of measuring blood viscosi-ty, the instrument was developed based on the Casson flow equation for blood in round tube and Stokes equation, using virtual instrument technique to calculate the Casson viscosity and stress, and pressure sensor and peristaltic pump to perform a setup. Results: Controlled by the data acquisition system, the blood Casson viscosity and stress were measured quickly and simply. Conclusions: Compared with the similar instruments used in clinic, this analyzer is faster in measurement and has high preci-sion, can determine the apparent viscosity and other Casson parameters of blood at any shear rate, and gives more clinic informa-tion for patients.

Augmenter of liver regeneration(ALR)is a novel hepatic stimulator. Owing to its peculiar characteristic of gene structure and many kinds of biological functions, it is thought to be an important hepatotrophic factor. This review summarized the advance in ALR research in recent years including characteristics of ALR gene, molecular structure, physiochemical characteristics, biological functions and roles in liver injury.

Objective To explore a safe,high efficiency and rapid approach for the repair of huge sacral pressure sores. Methods From 1993 to 2001,17 cases of huge sacral pressure sore were repaired using the pedicled upper part gluteus maximum myocutaneous flap .Results The outcome of repair in stage Ⅰ was satisfactory in all the cases during the followed-up period for 1～9 years,the size of the flap ranged from 16cm?10cm to 10cm?8cm,No recurrence was occurred,The function of gluteus in donor areas was keeped maximally. Conclusions The method is a good treatment for huge sacral pressure sores. It possesses the advantages of easiness to perform,rich blood supply,no necessity of free skin graft in the donor areas,less complications,high success rate. The treatment can be completed in one stage.It is worthy of popularization.

Objective To determine the effect of prone position (PP) ventilation on oxygenation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) .Methods Twenty-three patients of both sexes (14 males, 9 females) with ARDS (within 72 h after onset of ARDS) were included in this study. The patients ranged in age from 43-78 years. Ten minutes before the patients were placed in prone position, midazolam 2-5 mg was given i. v. followed by continuous infusion at 2-3 mg?h-1 for sedation and a bolus of vecuronium 4 mg per hour for muscle relaxation. The patients were mechanically ventilated (VT 6-8 ml?kg-1, inspiration-time 1.0-1.2 s, RR 12-20 bpm, FiO2 0.4-1.0, PEEP 6-18 cm H2O) . The patients were placed in prone position for 2 h. Radial artery was cannulated and S-G catheter placed. MAP, CVP, MPAP, PAWP, cardiac output, PaO2 , PaCO2 peak inspiratory pressure (PIP) and airway resistance (Raw) were measured and recorded immediately before (T0) and 0.5, 2 h after the patients were placed in prone position (T1 , T2) and 2 h after supine position was resumed(T3) . OBJECTIVE : To prepare the sustained release tablets of salbutamol sulfate,and to establish the method of quality control.METHODS: The sustained release tablets were prepared by using salbutamol sulfate, lactose, sodium carboxymethyl starch, HPMC, EC, and MCC and coated with enteric soluble acrylic resin.HPLC was employed to determine the content of salbutamol sulfate, while at the same time dissolution grade in vitro was determined, and stability was investigated.RESULTS: : The detectable concentration of salbutamol sulfate showed a good linear correlation with peak area in the range of 1.25～20.00?g/ml.The average recovery of salbutamol sulfate was 98.60% (RSD=0.66%).The prepared tablets showed a timing release 5 hours after administration.No evident changes in dissolution were found in all tests of stability.CONCLUSION: The formulation of the preparation is reasonable; the preparation technique is simple and feasible, and the quality is stable and controllable.
