Objective To investigate the relationship between proteinuria components and the severity of pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome (PIH), the unconcentrated urine samples from patients with PIH were analyzed on proteinuria components by electrophoresis.Methods Proteinuria components were analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-agarose gel electrophoresis (SDS-AGE) in unconcentrated urine samples from PIH patients (PIH group,n=114) and normal third trimester pregnant women (control group,n=110).Results Eleven kinds of urinary protein were detected in the PIH group and four in the control group. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical application and efficacy of ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation in the treatment of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma after external radiotherapy. METHODS: From July 2004 to July 2016, 43 cases of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma of the neck after external radiotherapy or surgery combined with external radiotherapy were treated. According to the conventional segmentation radiotherapy for head and neck cancer (once a day, 1.8-2.0 Gy each time, 5 days per week), the cumulative radiation dose of the patients in this group was calculated. In the study, 26 patients received 50-60 Gy, 7 patients received less than 50 Gy, 4 patients received 60-70 Gy, and 6 patients received more than 80 Gy (range: 80-120 Gy). The interval between the last external irradiation and local recurrence was 4-204 months, and the median interval was 48 months. Among them, 25 cases were treated with ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation only and 18 cases were treated with ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation after operation. The prescription dose was 100-140 Gy. The control rate, survival rate and disease-free survival rate were recorded to evaluate the side effects. RESULTS: The median follow-up time was 27 months (ranging from 2.5 to 149.0 months). Among them, the median follow-up time of adenoid cystic carcinoma patients was 31 months (range: 2.5-112.0 months), and the median follow-up time of mucoepidermoid carcinoma patients was 18 months (range: 5-149 months). The local control rates for 1, 3 and 5 years were 66.5%, 48.8% and 42.7%, respectively. The 1-, 3- and 5- year survival rates were 88.0%, 56.7% and 45.8%, respectively. The disease-free survival rates of 1, 3 and 5 years were 58.3%, 45.4% and 38.1%, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in local control rate, survival rate, and disease-free survival between the radioactive seeds implantation group and the radioactive seeds implantation group after surgical resection. There were 2 cases of acute radiation reaction Ⅰ/Ⅱ and 3 cases of reaction Ⅲ or above. In the late stage of radiotherapy, there were 8 cases with Ⅰ/Ⅱ grade reaction and 3 cases with Ⅲ grade or above reaction. The incidence of radiation reactions of Grade Ⅲ and above was 7%. CONCLUSION ¹²⁵Ⅰ radioactive seeds implantation provides an alternative method for the treatment of recurrent salivary gland carcinoma after external radiotherapy. The local control rate and survival rate are improved on the premise of low incidence of side effects.

AlM:To study the refractive status characteristics aftser cataract surgery and the correlation between preoperative anterior chamber depth ( ACD) and refractive status.METHODS: Ninety-six cases of patients with cataract were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in phacoemulsification group were treated with phacoemulsification combined intraocular lens ( lOL ) implantation while the patients in small incision group were treated by small incision extracapsular cataract extraction combined with lOL implantation. Changes in ACD and postoperative refractive status and refractive fully corrected value were counted and the correlation of them were analyzed .RESULTS: ACD of the phacoemulsification group s deepened 0. 74mm while that of the small incision group deepened 0. 78mm after treatment and there was no significant difference (P>0. 05). After operation, the ACD of two groups significantly deepened ( P<0. 05 ). The postoperative visual acuity of two groups were significantly better than the uncorrected visual acuity of two groups (P<0. 05). The postoperative refraction of two groups patients were mainly 0 ~ +1. 0D ( 41. 67% and 54. 16%) and+1. 25~+2. 0D (43. 75% and 33. 33%) (P>0. 05). CONCLUSlON: ACD is significant deepened after operation. Surgeon needs full consideration of changes to improve the refractive lOL calculation accuracy.

Objective To investigate the role of expressions of pituitary tumor transforming gene(PTTG) and p27 in glioma,and explore the relationship between the expressions of them and cell cycle regulation.Methods Specimens of 40 patient with gliomas were divided into gradeⅠ:8 cases,gradeⅡ:10 cases,gradeⅢ:13 cases, gradeⅣ:9 cases,PTTGmRNA and p27mRNA were detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR),and their expressions of PTTG,P27,CDK4 protein were detected by immunostaining assay using strep- tavidin-peroxidase(SP) method.Results The expressions of PTTGmRNA in gradeⅠ～Ⅳwere (0.907?0.065),(1.109?0.083),(1.312?0.089),(1.499?0.215) respectively,there was significant difference among the groups(P

Objective To compare the clinical efficacies regarding femoral artery or radial artery approaches on coronary artery interventional therapies.Methods 360 patients were randomly divided into intervention group via femoral artery (TFI) or transradial coronary intervention (TRI) group.Postoperative observation on the two said groups of patients with vascular lesion characteristics,feasibility factors ( success rate of interventional therapy puncture,time of operation and hospitalization)and complications,were made.Results There were no significant differences between the two groups on the characteristics of vascular lesion (P＞0.05).Success rates of the two groups were 97.78％ and 96.67％ respectively.The differences on success rate,time of operation were not statistically significant (P＞0.05) while the average time of puncture,the mean duration of hospitalization and the rates of complications were significantly different ( P＜ 0.05 ).Conclusion The two methods under comparison had similar success rate and feasibility.However,the complications related to radial artery interventional therapy were much less than the femoral artery interventional therapy.As having better safety,radial artery interventional therapv seemed to have applicable value on clinical oractice.

Kidney injury and decreased chemosensitivity of tumor cells are obstacles with cisplatin (CDDP) chemotherapy. Down-regulation of the organic cation transporter 2 (OCT2) and multidrug resistance-associated protein 2 (MRP2) is a key means to alleviate CDDP-induced kidney injury and increase chemosensitivity. Astragaloside IV (AS IV) is obtained from the well-known traditional Chinese herb Astragalus membranaceus. This study explored the role of AS IV in preventing kidney injury and enhancing the antitumor effect of CDDP by suppressing OCT2 expression in kidney and MRP2 in tumors. This project was reviewed and approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of the First Hospital of Jilin University. The effects of AS IV on CDDP inhibition of tumor growth and promotion of apoptosis were assessed in Lewis lung tumor (LLC)-bearing mice by H&E and TUNEL staining. Kidney injury was assessed by serum biochemical parameters and H&E staining. We used Western blotting and immunohistochemistry assays to detect OCT2 and MRP2 expression in kidney and tumor. The concentration of CDDP in kidney and tumor was measured by HPLC-MS/MS. AS IV enhanced CDDP chemosensitivity by increasing tumor cell apoptosis and slowing tumor growth, and decreased kidney injury as evidenced by lower blood creatinine (Cr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN). Co-administration of AS IV suppressed MRP2 overexpression induced by CDDP in tumor tissues and may be an important mechanism for enhancing CDDP chemosensitivity. Moreover, AS IV reduced CDDP-induced kidney injury in mice along with suppression of OCT2 expression in kidney. The concentration of CDDP was increased in tumor but decreased in kidney. In total, AS IV not only enhanced the antitumor effect of CDDP by suppressing MRP2 expression in tumor cells, but also decreased kidney injury induced by CDDP. The results provide new insight into the combined use of a chemotherapy drug and natural ingredients to treat cancer.

AIMTo research the spontaneous firing activities during different-frequency stimulation of subthalamic nucleus and microelectrophoresis GABA, Glu and their antagons respectively, approaching the mechanism of DBS in the treatment of Parkinson's disease further.

METHODSUsing extracellular recording to investigate the effect of different-frequency stimulation of STN and microelectrophoresis several drugs on the spontaneous firing activities of the SNr neurons.

RESULTSFor STN stimulation at low frequency, there was no difference on the spontaneous firing activities of SNr neurons between pro-stimulation and meta-stimulation (P > 0.05). With the increasing of stimulation frequency, most of the SNr neurons were inhibited. While during the STN stimulation frequency at high-frequency, the firing rates of inhibited SNr neurons were changed (P < 0.05). Glu had catatonic excitement effect on the SNr neurons, whereas GABA had tonic inhibition effect. 80% of SNr neurons which were inhibited by STN-HFS were not inhibited by STN-HFS on the basis of excitatory effect of BIC.

CONCLUSIONTo treat the motor symptoms of PD, when SIN is selected as the target nucleus, the electrical stimulation with high-frequency should be chosen. It is possible that SIN-HFS modulate the activity of SNr by inhibitory effect of GABA predominantly.

OBJECTIVETo compare the treatment results between radical surgery and late course accelerated hyperfractionated radiotherapy (LCAHFR) for patients with resectable esophageal cancer in the chest.

METHODSFrom June 1998 to September 2002, 269 patients with resectable esophageal cancer in the chest were randomized into two groups: 135 in surgery group and 134 in radiotherapy. The surgery group received esophagectomy including resection of the lesion and 5 cm margin at both ends from the lesion as well as surrounding lymph nodes > or = 5 mm and fatty tissue. In the radiotherapy group: irradiation field for the lesion in the upper esophageal cancer included the gross lesion, bilateral supraclavicular nodes and 4 cm of normal esophagus from lower margin of the gross disease; for the esophageal cancer at the middle segment, it included the gross disease with 4 cm normal esophagus from both ends of the lesion; for the lesion in the lower esophageal cancer, it included 4 cm of normal esophagus and the gross lesion as well as the draining gastric lymph nodes. The width of the irradiation field was 5-6 cm. The 90% isodose volume was covered by the entire CTV with 3-5 beams, in a conventionally fractionated RT at 1.8-2.0 Gy/d for the first two thirds of treatment course to a dose of about 50-50.4 Gy followed by LCAHFR using reduced fields (2 cm extended margin at both ends of the lesion) , twice daily at 1.5 Gy per fraction ( with aminimal interval of 6 h between fractions) to a dose of 18-21 Gy. The total dose whole radiotherapy was 68.4-71.0 Gy.

RESULTSThe 1-, 3- and 5-year overall survival rate was 93.3%, 61.5% and 36.9% in the surgery group versus 88.6%, 56.2% and 34.7% in the radiotherapy group without statistical difference between the two groups. The 1-, 3- and 5-year progression free survival rate was 75.9%, 43.7% and 23.1% in the surgery group and 73.3%, 39.7% and 20.6%, respectively, in the radiotherapy group without statistical difference between the two groups either.

CONCLUSIONThe results treated by late course accelerated hyperfractionated conformal radiotherapy alone may be comparable to that by radical surgery for patient with resectable esophageal cancer in the chest.

A two-dimensional liquid chromatography method was developed for the analysis of rice leaves proteomics based on the coupling of hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography-reversed-phase liquid chromatography with online tandem mass spectrometry. The influence of pH value of chromatographic mobile phase on the orthogonality of the hydrophilic interaction-reversed-phase two-dimensional liquid chromatography was evaluated by the changes of standard peptide retention. The results indicated that the better orthogonality (R2=0.34113) was achieved from the system with hydrophilic interaction columns(pH 9.3) in the first and C18columns(pH 3.3) in the second LC dimension. Coupled with multiple fraction concatenation strategy,the orthogonality of two-dimensional liquid chromatography was further evaluated in the analysis of complex rice leaf proteins. The results showed that more than 50% of the total peptides were identified less than two times, and the peptides obtained from first-dimension were well distributed across the elution window,indicating that the method showed significant orthogonality in the identification of complex rice leaf proteins. Based on the proteome discoverer software,207345 peptides belonged to 2930 protein clusters were identified.
