OBJECTIVETo investigate clinical curative effects of gluteal muscle contracture release combined with insertion of gluteus maximus tendo-chilles lengthening with Z-shaped in treating severe gluteal muscles contracture.
METHODSFrom 2006 May to 2011 May, 20 patients (35 sides) with severe gluteal muscle contracture were collected, including 12 males and 8 females, aged from 8 to 34 years old with an average of 13 years old; the courses of disease ranged from 3 to 21 years. All patients manifested abnormal gait at different degree, knees close together cannot squat, positive syndrome of Ober, positive test of alice leg. Gluteus contracture fascia release were performed firstly in operation, then insertion of tendo-chilles lengthening with Z-shaped were carried out. Preoperative and postoperative gait, and knee flexion hip extensor squat test, cross leg test, adduction and internal rotary activity of hip joint, stretch strength and motor ability after hip abduction were observed and compared.
RESULTSTwenty patients were followed up for 1 to 5 years. Gluteus maximus were released thoroughly, and snapping hip was disappeared, Ober syndrome were negative. There was significant differences in knee flexion hip extensor squat test, adduction and internal rotary activity of hip joint, stretch before and after operation (P<0.01). Gluteus muscle strength was protected, stretch strength and motor ability of hip joint were recovered well. Among them,31 cases got excellent results and 4 good.
CONCLUSIONFor severe gluteal muscles contracture, insertion of gluteus maximus tendo-chilles lengthening with Z-shaped performed after gluteus contracture fascia release could release gluteal muscle contracture to the greatest extent and obtain postoperative curative effect without resection of normal hip muscle fibers and destroy joint capsule.

7.Comparative analysis on composition principles of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(16):3172-3175
This paper collected the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prescriptions of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis from CNKI to set up database and used TCM inheritance system to analyze the composing principles in prescriptions. We collected 103 and 106 prescriptions for osteoporosis and osteoarthritis respectively, then analyzed inherent principles between herbs in prescriptions by using the TCM inheritance system, and obtained the frequency of each herb, and drug combinations of two diseases' prescriptions. The result showed that the principles in TCM prescriptions of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis are similarities, buch as tonifying kidney and invigorating the circulation of blood, but differences of the specific drugs. That is to say, tonifying kidney is the main method of osteoporosis treatment, however, invigorating the circulation of blood is the main method of osteoarthritis treatment.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2013;33(12):1105-1107
OBJECTIVETo explore protective effects of acupuncture at "Zusanli" (ST 36) on cerebral tissue in rats with sepsis.
METHODSCecal ligation and puncture (CLP) was applied to duplicate the rat model of sepsis. According to random number table, thirty SD rats were divided into a sepsis model group (group A), a sepsis model plus electroacupuncture (EA) group (group B), and a sepsis model plus non-acupoint EA group (group C), ten rats in each one. EA with the same frequency and intensity at "Zusanli" (ST 36) and non-acupoint (0.5 cm laterally to "Zusanli") for 30 min was applied in the group B and group C, respectively. No treatment was given in the goup A. 6 hours after CLP, blood was acquired from abdominal aorta to measure the levels of neuron specific enolase (NSE). Then the rats were sacrificed by abdominal aorta exsanguination to take their cerebral tissue for measuring the levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and interleukin-6 (IL-6).
RESULTSSix hours after CLP, the level of NSE was (3.51 +/- 0.39) ng/mL in group B, which was significantly lower than (7.72 +/- 0.64) ng/mL in group A (P<0.05). The level of NSE was (8.02 +/- 0.72) ng/mL in the group C, which had no statistical significance with group A (P>0.05). The levels of TNF-alpha, IL-6 in cerebral tissue in group B were significantly lower than that of group A and C (all P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONEA at "Zusanli" (ST 36) has certain protective effect on septic rat's brain, which has some relationship with decreasing levels of cerebral tissue proinflammatory cytokine and plasma NSE. EA at non-acupoint has no the same action.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2010;30(3):282-284
Objective To compare bispectral index (BIS) with narcotrend index (NI) during propofol-remifentanil anesthesia administered by target-controlled infusion (TCI).Methods Ten ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ pafients aged 18-56 yr weighing 52-67kg undergoing abdominal surgery lasting>1h were included in this study.BIS and NI were monitored simultaneously.Anesthesia was induced with TCI of propofol with target plasma concentration (Cp) of 3~4μg/ml and remifentanil (Cp 3-4ng/ml).Tracheal intubation was facilitated with cis-atracurium 0.3 mg/kg.The patients were mechanically ventilated.PETCO2 was maintained between 30-35 mm Hg.Anesthesia was maintained with TCI of propofol and remifentanil by the anesthesiologist bhnded to BIS and NI values.according to hemedynamic parameters.BIS and narcotrend values were recorded every minute and compared by another anesthesiologist. All data were compared by Bland-Altman analysis and with Kappa coefficient for agreement. The correlation between BIS and NI was tested by Spearman correlation analysis. The number of error ofjudgement (Type Ⅰ was defined as BIS<40 and NI>62;Type Ⅱ was defined as BIS>60 and NI<20)Was counted. Results The correlation and agreement between BIS and NI during maintenance of propofol-remifentanil anesthesia administered by TCI showed good consistency. Conclusion Both NI and BIS Can help anesthesiologist control the depth of anesthesia during TCI of propofol-remifentanil.

Objective To study the changes of the cellular composition in peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(PBSCT) donor with granulocyte colony stimulating factor(G-CSF)and the short-term influence of G-CSF on the donors. Methods Eighteen donors of PBSCT were administrated with G-CSF,5-10?g/(kg?d),for 4-5d.Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (MNC) were collected after the administration of the G-CSF and analyzed by flow cytometry. The side effects of G-CSF on donors were also studied. Results The peripheral white blood cell (PWBC) counts peaked on day 4 or 5 after mobilization.Compared with the number of WBC before mobilization,it increased 7 to 14 times after mobilization (P
