Objective To elucidate the action of carbohydrates metabolism-associated genes on rat liver regeneration(LR). Methods We obtained the above genes through collecting website data and retrieving related articles, and detected their expression changes in rat LR with Rat Genome 230 2.0 array, then determined LR-associated genes by comparison of gene expression discrepancy between partial hepatectomy(PH) group and sham operation(SO) group. Results 118 carbohydrates metabolism genes were proved to be LR-associated.Number of the initial and total expressing genes occurring in forepart(0.5-4 hours after PH),prophase(6-12 hours after PH),metaphase(16-66 hours after PH) and anaphase(72-168 hours after PH),were 33,6,68,7 and 68,44,210,83,respectively,demonstrating that expression of these genes were triggered mainly at the initial stage of LR,and functioned in different phases. The number of their up-regulation and down-regulation was 205 and 200,and their expression patterns were classified into 12 types, implying that the cellular Carbohydrate metabolism during LR were characterized by diversity and complication.Monosaccharides and glycogen metabolism-associated genes, glycoprotein and glycosphingolipid(mainly gangliosides) biosynthesis-associated genes were up-regulated almost in the whole LR.In contrast, oligosaccharides and glycosaminoglycans biosynthesisassociated genes, glycoprotein and glycosphingolipid degradation-associated genes were down regulated. Conclusion Liver regeneration was closely related to carbohydrate metabolism.

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)in the treatment of schistosomia-sis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with calculous cholecystitis. Methods The clinical data of 196 cases of schistoso-miasis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with calculous cholecystitis(Child A 160 cases,Child B 36 cases)treated with LC were collected and analyzed from June 2006 to June 2013. Results Among the 196 cases, there were 154 cases of schistoso-miasis liver fibrosis portal hypertension combined with chronic calculous cholecystitis, and 42 cases of schistosomiasis liver fibro-sis portal hypertension combined with acute calculous cholecystitis. Totally 189 patients underwent LC successfully, but 7 were transited to the general operation because of LC failure, including 3 cases of adhesion around gallbladder and ambiguous dissec-tion of gallbladder triangle, and 4 cases of intraoperative bleeding and the bleeding was difficult to stop under the laparoscopy. All the 196 patients were cured. Conclusion LC is effective and safe in the treatment of schistosomiasis liver fibrosis portal hyperten-sion combined with calculous cholecystitis.

Objective: to observe the protective effect of Swertia Punicea on experimental hepatic injury induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS respectively. Methods: Mouse models of hepatic injury were induced by CCl4 and BCG/LPS. Serum levels of ALT and AST, MDA content and the pathological changes of hepatic tissue were observed. Results: Swertia Punicea obviously inhibited the rising levels of serum ALT and AST, improved the histological features and relieved hepatic edema induced by CCl4 in mice. However, it has no obvious action on the rising levels of ALT and AST induced by BCG/LPS. It also reduced MDA content and decreased the hepatic index and the splenic index. Conclusion: Swertia Punicea has antioxidation and a protective action on the chemical and immunological hepatic injury, especially on the chemical hepatic injury.

Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2015;(4):365-369
Objective To compare the clinical value of ultrasound and X-ray guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy ( PCNL) for treat-ment of kidney calculi. Methods We searched relevant clinical controlled articles in PubMed,EMBASE/Cochrane library and CNKI data-base. The outcome indicators included stone clearance rate, complication rate, puncture time, blood loss, and hospital days. All data were ana-lyzed by Revman 5. 0 software. Results There were 9 articles involved in 1693 patients. The results suggested that there was no significant difference in stone clearance rate between ultrasound group and X-ray group[OR=1. 11,95%CI(0. 83,1. 49),P=0. 47]. However, the complication [OR=0. 43,95%CI (0. 27,0. 69),P=0. 0004],time to puncture[WMD= -4. 54,95%CI( -0. 45,-8. 62),P=0. 03], blood loss[WMD= -22. 77,95%CI( -36. 57,-8. 97),P=0. 001],and hospital days[WMD= -0. 16,95%CI( -0. 28,-0. 03),P=0. 02] were better in ultrasound group than those in X-ray group. Conclusion Ultrasound and X-ray guided PCNL had an equal stone clear-ance rate, but it seemed that ultrasound was better than X-ray in time to puncture and hospital days after operation. However, the results of this meta-analysis should be treated carefully because of limitation of data and heterogeneity.

Han Jiangbo. Department of Theoretical Mechanics, Luoyang Industry College. Luoyang Since January 1982 we have relocated the insertion of a part of pectoralis major or deltoid muscle in the treatment of 5 cases of habitual dislocation of shoulder. After over a year of follow-up no recurrence of dislocation has been found in all the cases. The shoulder joint seemed to be stable, the range of movements increased, and disturbance in supination was corrected. The operative procedure was studied in fresh cadavers and human skeleton. Studies on mechanical model of shoulder joint, with theoretical calculation of changes in pronation after muscle displacement, showed that movements of pronation were remarkably increased after displacement of partial pectoralis major and deltoideus. It could also compensate the weatened subscapularis.
