Objective To study effect of continuous respiratory mechanical ventilation therapy for neonatal respiratory failure. Methods A total of 44 respiratory failure newborns with respiratory mechanical ventilation in our hospital from January 2011 to December 2014 were in in-tervention group given nursing intervention and 46 children with respiratory failure respiratory me-chanical ventilation treatment from January 2009 to December 2011 were in the control group giv-ing continuous respiratory mechanical ventilation therapy. The oxygenation pulmonary ventilation function, clinical results and complications were compared. Results Compared with treatment be-fore,all indexes in two groups at different time points after treatment were improved, and the dif-ference were statistically significant and the treatment group changed more (P <0.05).The dif-ferences in all index of each time point after treatment between two groups were statistically signifi-cant (P <0.05).The clinical total effective rate in intervention group was higher than that in the control group, while the incidence of complications in the intervention group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Conclusion The nurs-ing intervention for continuous respiratory mechanical ventilation treatment of respiratory failure newborns could significantly improve curative effect, which has a certain guiding significance for clinical nursing.
