Objective To study congenital transmission of Trichinella spiralis in mice and observe the protection of anti-Trichinella antibodies from the infected dams to challenge infection. Methods According to the gestation (fertilization), the Kunming mice were divided into two groups: the infected group after gestation and the gestated group after infection. New-born mice were cut into small pieces to separate the larvae within 1 day after birth. One-day-old offspring born to normal dams were nursed by the infected dams, slaughtered after 21 days and examined for the larvae. Serum anti-Trichinella antibody level in offspring born to the infected dams was assayed by ELISA at different time after birth, and its immune protection against challenge infection was studied. Results Out of 6 offspring born to the dams infected at 7 days after fertilization, two were found to be infected. Among other female mice which were first infected with T. spiralis and then gestated, only the offspring born to the dams fertilized at 8 and 22 days after infection were found to be infected, the infection rate of offspring was 20% (2/10) and 25%(2/8) respectively. All larvae recovered from the young were non-encapsulated. The cross-fostering experiment showed that none of 30 offspring born to normal dams were found to be infected. The serum antibody positive rate in 27 offspring born to the infected dams at 1, 7, 24, and 40 days after birth was 100%, 100%, 77.8% and 14.8%, respectively. The worm reduction rate in the offspring 40 days after birth was 62.0% after challenge infection. Objective To investigate the undergraduates′cognition ,attitude and behavior about low‐carbon life and then to provide a relatively scientifically strategy .and provide scientific basis to formulate countermeasures about undergraduates′low‐car‐bon lifestyle .Methods By multistage sampling ,382 students′knowledge ,attitude and practice about low‐carbon life in Wuhan Uni‐versity of science and technology were analyzed .Results The students′cognition about low‐carbon life was good ,the awareness rate of girl was higher than that of boy ;Their attitude was positive ,grade and knowledge awareness were the two influence factors ;the behavior situation was unsatisfactory ,the origin of students and attitude enthusiasm were the elements affect rationality of be‐havior .Conclusion Undergraduates should strengthen the cognition of low‐carbon life ,improve attitude enthusiasm ,and form a good behavioral habit of low‐carbon life .

The expression of a soluble protein on cell surface is often desirable for study of a functional protein, wide application of a protein or investigation of protein-protein interaction. The expression of a soluble protein on the surface of a cell is often achieved by genetically linking a protein to the extra-cellular fragment of a transmembrane partner. In this study, the myc epitope was linked with N terminal of transmembrane proteins either A2TM or deltaLNGFR amplified by overlapping PCR. The plasmids expressing fusion protein were transfected into 293FT cells and the expression of target proteins was evaluated by fluorescent microscope, flow cytometry and Western blotting. The results of flow cytometry revealed that both A2TM and deltaLNGFR were expressed on the cell surface, but A2TM could only be detected with high copy number. Western blotting showed that the expression level of deltaLNGFR was very high and protein was heavily glycosylated, by contrast the expression of A2TM was hardly detected. The results indicate that glycosylated deltaLNGFR is a good candidate partner for the expression of a soluble protein on the cell surface.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are crucial for the induction and maintenance of tumor-specific immune responses. Studies have shown that tumor-associated DCs are immunosuppressed in some human tumors. However, phenotype and function of DCs in retinoblastoma (RB) remain unclear. RB cell supernatant (RBcs) was used to treat DCs in vitro to explore the effect of RB cells on DCs. DCs were generated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells of healthy donors. On day 5 of culture, DCs were treated with RBcs for 24 h, and then purified using magnetic beads. The maturation of DCs was induced by TNF-α or LPS. After treatment with RBcs, expression of co-stimulatory molecules CD80 and CD86 was elevated in DCs, accompanied by increased production of IL-12p70, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β, and IL-8 but decreased production of IL-10. RBcs neither inhibited DC maturation nor promoted DC apoptosis. Moreover, RBcs-exposed DCs stimulated allogenetic T cell proliferation and T cell-derived cytokine production. These results indicate that RBcs can improve DCs' antigen presenting function and capability to activate T cells, suggesting that RB cells may have an immunostimulatory effect on DCs, and DC-based immunotherapy may be adopted in the treatment of RB.

The standardization of classification methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) ancient books can provide a clear and reliable reference for all kinds of TCM ancient books collection units, which can also promote the sharing and utilization of TCM ancient books. We studied and investigated the classification methods of TCM ancient books in past dynasties. The standard on classification of TCM ancient books was formulated by compared with the classification table of Zhongguo Zhongyi Guji Zongmu, and referred to the classification table of Zhonghua Guji Zongmu. This standard specified three-level categories and classification principles of TCM ancient books, and mainly composed of basic categories, three-level category table, classification principles and examples, and instructions for use.

This study explored the comorbidity mechanisms of coronary heart disease and depression from the perspectives of "constraint causing disease" and "disease causing constraint"， for which "constraint" is the link， and the key lies in the stagnation of qi. The heart storing manifestations in traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） encompasses most physiological processes of the circulatory system， the mental nervous system， and some functions of the endocrine system， and cardiovascular diseases and psychological disorders are closely related to it. In TCM， it is proposed that the stagnation of heart yang leading to "yang deficiency" is the pathogenesis of chest tightness， and emotional disturbance leading to the stagnation of yang qi aggravates the chest tightness， reflecting the process of "disease causing constraint". As the disease progresses， the appearance of phlegm and stasis further worsens the condition， reflecting the process of "constraint causing disease". Based on modern medical understanding， the abnormal accumulation of lipids， platelets， oxidative products， cytokines， and other substances constitute a form of "constraint"， which is also the material basis for the comorbidity of coronary heart disease and depression. These substances promote neuronal damage or apoptosis in the emotional and cognitive regions， inducing the onset of depression， reflecting the process of "disease causing constraint". Meanwhile， adverse emotions lead to sympathetic nerve excitement， resulting in the production of catecholamines， promoting platelet aggregation， elevating levels of inflammatory markers， and increasing the risk of coronary heart disease， reflecting the process of "disease causing constraint".

OBJECTIVE：To study the effects of limonin on immune function and apo ptosis-related factors expression in MFC gastric cancer bearing model mice. METHODS ：MFC gastric cancer bearing model was established by inoculating MFC gastric cancer cells into the right armpit of mice. After modeling ，model mice were divided into model group ，cyclophosphamide group （positive control ，25 mg/kg）and limonin high-dose ，medium-dose and low-dose groups （100，50 and 25 mg/kg），with 10 mice in each group. Other groups were given relevant medicine intragastrically ，once a day ，for consecutive 14 days，except that model group was given 0.5％ sodium carboxymethyl cellulose intragastrically. Before administration and after last administration ，the body weight of mice was measured ；spleen，thymus and tumor tissue were taken after the last administration to calculate the spleen index，thymus index and tumor inhibition rate. The percentage of CD 4+ and CD 8+ T lymphocytes ，CD4+/CD8+ ratio were detected by flow cytometry. The expression of immune function related indexes （IL-2，IL-10，IFN-γ）in serum were detected by ELISA. RT-PCR and Western blot assay were adopted to detect relative mRNA and protein expression of apoptosis-related factors [cytochrome C （Cyt-C），Bcl-2，Bax] in tumor tissue of mice. RESULTS ：There was no significant difference in body weight among the other groups except that of cyclophosphamide group was decreased significantly ，compared with model group （P＜0.05）. Inhibitory rate of tumor were （58.16 ± 7.07）％ ，（37.09 ± 4.26）％ ，（27.30 ± 3.64）％ ，（15.13 ± 2.95）％ in cyclophosphamide group ，limonin high-dose ，medium-dose and low-dose groups. Compared with model group ，spleen index ， thymus index ，the percentages of CD 4+ and CD 8+T lymphocyte cells ，CD4+/CD8+ ratio，serum levels of IL- 2 and IL- 10，relative mRNA and protein expression of Bcl- 2 in tumor of mice in cyclophosphamide group as well as the expression of IL- 10，relative mRNA and protein expression of Bcl- 2 in limonin groups were decreased significantly （P＜0.05）. The expression of IFN-γ，relative mRNA and protein expression of Cyt-C and Bax of cyclophosphamide group as well as spleen index （except for low-dose group ）， thymus index ， the percentage of CD 4 + and CD 8 + T lymphocytes，CD4+/CD8+ ratio，the expression of IL- 2 and IFN-γ，and relative mRNA and protein expression of Cyt-C and Bax in limonin groups were increased significantly （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS ：Limonin can inhibit tumor growth in MFC gastric cancer bearing model mice ，and the side effects are relatively weak. Its mechanism is related to the improvement of immune function and the induction of apoptosis.
