Objective To explore the curative effect and prognosis of traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine in the treatment of silicosis patients. Methods 74 patients with silicosis were selected as the research subjects.According to the admission time, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group,37 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, the observation group was given the combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. The clinical curative effect, pulmonary function index, symptoms improved time and the reduce of lung shadow were observed and compared. Results The reduction rate of lung shadow in the observation group was 75.67%,which in the control group was 62.16%,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (u =2.419,P =0.015).The total effective rate of the observation group was 86.49%,which of the control group was 67.57%,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups (u =2.116,P =0.034).After treatment, the vital capacity (VC),forced vital capacity(FVC) and the first second forced expiratory volume (FEV1) in the observation group were (69.15 ± 18.34)%,(71.08 ± 16.93)%,(68.91 ± 18.75)%,respectively,which in the control group were (63.37 ± 20.53) %,(63.13 ± 18.69) % and (55.47 ± 17.58) %,respectively, which in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, which in the observation group increased significantly, there were statistically significant differences between the two groups (t =6.778,P =0.000,t =8.836,P =0.000,t =10.133,P =0.000).The wheezing, cough, pulmonary rales and other symptoms improved time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (t =8220,P =0.000,t =6.836,P =0.000,t =6.909,P =0.000).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine combined with western medicine in the treatment of silicosis has higher reduction rate of lung shadow, lung function improved significantly, shorter improved time of cough, wheezing and other symptoms, its curative effect is better than western medicine.

Objective The aim of study is to evaluate the efficacy of a new complementary midurethral sling surgery in treating recurrent or persist female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after primary Synthetic mid-urethral slings (MUSs).Methods The methods was used in 32 patients who had suffered recurrent or persist SUI patients after primary MUSs during June 2005 and July 2011.Their primary MUSs were:TVT 2 cases,IVS 4 cases,TVT-O 17 cases,TOT 3 cases,T-sling 1case,other MUSs 5 cases.9 cases complained SUI symptoms continued after primary surgery and had no improvement after 6 months following up.23 cases reported SUI symptoms recurrent and aggravated in 6 months after primary operation and had no improvement 1 year after operation. All these patients have been treated with surgery,a trans-vaginal mid-urethral sling on descending pubic ramus. In this study we followed up these patients for one year after this complementary operation and evaluated operating time, blood loss, efficacy and complications. Results In this study the operating time was 41.1±13.1 minutes, blood loss was 70.6±23.8 ml.30 patients kept urinary catheter 6 h after operation and 2 kept urinary catheter 48 h after operation. All patients could micturate after removed urinary catheter and average residual urine was 23.8 ± 21.4 ml (range 0-80 ml).The average in-patients duration was 4.8± 1.1days.SUI symptoms still persisted in two patients after second operation, subjective cure was achieved in 26 patients and the symptoms obviously improved in 4 patients when they left hospital. The efficient rate was 93.8% (30/32) left hospital and after 3 months,93.3% (28/30) after 6 months and 86.2% (25/29) after 1 year. There were 2 cases of recurrence and 1 case of mesh erosion after 1 year,no other operative complications were reported. Conclusions Our study found that it is a efficient operation to treat SUI recur or persist after primary.

Objective To investigate the status of symptom burden,self-efficacy and quality of life in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),and to explore the correlation among the three. Methods A total of 370 elderly patients with COPD hospitalized in the Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Zhejiang Province from February 2016 to March 2017 were selected by convenience sampling method. The general data questionnaire,COPD assessment test,COPD self-efficacy scale and COPD quality of life instrument for chronic disease were used to investigate all the subjects. Results The total score of symptom burden in elderly patients with COPD was (28.27±9.52),the total score of self-efficacy was (98.66±10.78),the total score of quality of life was (148.37±21.33). There were significant differences in symptom burden, self-efficacy, and quality of life among patients with different ages, genders, educational level, living styles, smoking and the severity of illness (P< 0.05). There was no statistical difference on symptom burden of patients with different household income (t=1.628,P>0.05), and the scores of self-efficacy and life quality were statistically different (t=2.036,2.184;P< 0.05). Symptom burden was negatively correlated with self-efficacy score and its dimension scores (r=-0.427--0.529,P<0.05);symptom burden was negatively correlated with the total score of quality of life and the scores of each dimension (r=-0.428--0.608,P<0.01);the total score of self-efficacy and the scores of its all dimensions were positively correlated with the total score and each dimension score of life quality (r=0.477-0.778,P<0.01). Conclusions There is correlation with symptom burden,self-efficacy and life quality in elderly patients with COPD. Patients have lower self-efficacy and life quality as their symptom burden increases. It is suggested that by reducing patients′symptom burden, improving self-efficacy level, elderly COPD patients′ quality of life can be improved.

Objective To observe the clinical effects of herbal fumigation for promoting blood circulation and dredging collaterals combined with acupoint application on the pain management in lung cancer patients. Methods A total of 80 lung cancer patients in the Respiratory Medicine Department of Hangzhou Red Cross Hospital from May 2013 to May 2016 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given 3-stage routine analgesic treatment, while the patients in the observation group received herbal fumigation combined with acupoint application on the basis of routine nursing. The curative effect, adverse reaction and daily living ability were evaluated after 1-week treatment. Results There were 35 effective cases of pain relief in the observation group with a total effective rate 87%; and 22 effective cases in the control group with a total effective rate 55%. The curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=10.31, P<0.01). The incidence of adverse reaction of the observation group is lower than that of the control group (χ2=5.70, P<0.05). The number of patients with normal daily living ability in the two groups significantly increased than that before the analgesic treatment (P<0.05). While, after the intervention, the number of patients with normal daily living ability in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (χ2=4.07, P< 0.05). Conclusions Herbal fumigation combined with acupoint application can significantly improve the curative effect, reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions and improve the quality of life in patients with lung cancer.
