Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2009;0(13):-
OBJECTIVE To deepen the understanding of the hospital infection in the operating room and the importance of the work,do a good job for operating room disinfection and isolation work. METHODS Via self-inspection and detection of departments combined with randomized and selected inspection from the Office of infection, the deficits and their causes were found out to overcome. RESULTS For the operating room, infection control measures was developed ensure that all allegations of indicators in the normal range. CONCLUSIONS Only deepening the understanding of hospital infection and the importance of the work, the hospital can do a good job of systematic work to elevate the level of management in the operating room.

Background and purpose: It has been reported that some low dose chemotherapy drugs have antiangiogenetic effects. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of inhibiting angiogenesis by low dose hydroxycamptothecin on H22 hepatoma transplantation tumor mouse models. Methods: H22 transplantation tumor mouse models were established, CTX was administrated in abdominal cavities as positive control group. 0.9%NaC1 solution was administrated as negative control group. Intra abdominal cyclophosphamide and hydroxycamptothecin (0.2 and 0.4 mg/kg) were injected for 10 days continuously. The growth of tumor were observed and measured. The tumor inhibitory rates were tested in animal tumor model with experimental treatment. The expression of VEGF and CD34 were measured by means of immunohistochemistry. Results: Hydroxycamptothecin had effect on tumor growth. Tumor weight inhibitory rates of hydroxycamptothecin with 0.2 and 0.4 mg/kg were 23.53% and 43.25% respectively. The difference was significant when compared with the negative control group (P<0.05). The expression of VEGF and MVD can be suppressed significantly than negative control group in vivo (P<0.05). Conclusion:Hydroxycamptothecin have inhibitory effect on tumor growth and the expression of VEGF and MVD with H22 hepatoma transplantation tumor mouse models in low dose. The mechanism possibly involved inhibiting the angiogenesis.

AIM: To study the expression of tissue factor (TF) in cerebral microvascular thrombosis and its dynamic changes in rats. METHODS: 50 female SD rats were randomized to control group, 2, 4, 6, and 24 hours after thrombosis groups, 10 rats in each group. The model of cerebral microvascular thrombosis was induced by photo-chemical method. ELISA and immunohistochemistry methods were used to observe the changes of TF contents in blood plasma and the expression of TF in cerebral microvascular in each group. RESULTS: Cerebral thrombosis was induced by photo-chemical method successfully. The TF content in plasma was obviously higher in 4 h and 6 h groups than that in control group (P

Objective To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) in laparoscopic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods From May 2015 to July 2017,149 patients with gastric cancer in our department were prospectively enrolled and randomly divided into the ERAS group (n =75) and control group (n =74).Results In ERAS group compared to control group, the time to first passage of flatus was (51 ± 11)vs.(62 ± 11)h,first feeding time (46 ± 12) vs.(68 ±20)h,gastric tube removal time (13 ± 12)h vs.(70 ± 16) h,pain score on the first day after surgery (3.9 ±1.3) vs.(5.2 ±0.9),C-reaction protein level (8.5 ±2.6) mg/L vs.(10.1 ±3.0)mg/L,post-op hospital stay (6.9 ± 2.9) d vs.(11.2 ± 3.5) d,were all significantly different (all P < 0.05).The postoperative complication rates was 25% vs.28% respectively,(x2 =0.101,P =0.750).Conclusions Enhanced recovery after surgery can promote the postoperative recovery and shorten the time of hospitalization in laparoscopic-assisted radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.

Aging begins in the early stages of life and is an irreversible process in which wide-ranging and gradual functional declines occur with age in various organs of the body.Vascular aging, as a part of the overall aging process, plays an important role in the occurrence and development of vascular senescence-related diseases.Autophagy maintains homeostasis of the intracellular environment via degradation of damaged, denatured, or senescent proteins and organelles.Studies have found that basal autophagy is critical in regulating normal vascular function. However, abnormal autophagy may contribute to vascular aging and diseases associated with it.The purpose of this paper is to review recent progress on autophagy in vascular aging and its related diseases.

Objective To identify the risk factors for postoperative complications after radical resection of rectal cancer, and study the influence of high ligation of the inferior mesenteric artery on postoperative complications of rectal cancer. Methods Clinical data of the patients who underwent radical resection of rectal cancer in the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from January 2011 to December 2015 were analyzed. The χ 2test and t test were used for all the data. Results A total of 431 patients with rectal cancer were included, of which 80 cases were excluded, and finally 351 cases met the standard. Among them, 196 cases were in high ligation group, and 155 cases were in low ligation group. The total incidence of postoperative complications was 20.4 %(40/196) in the high ligation group and 27.1 %(42/155)in the low ligation group respectively, the difference of which was not statistically significant(χ2=1.336, P= 0.245). The incidence of anastomotic leakage was 10.2 % (20/196) in the high ligation group and 7.7 % (12/155) in the low ligation group respectively, and there was no significant difference between them (χ2=0.529, P= 0.467). Logistic regression analysis revealed that gender (OR= 2.102, 95 % CI 1.278-3.459, P=0.003), body mass index (OR= 2.492, 95 % CI 1.070-5.800, P= 0.027), with or without anemia before surgery(OR=2.203,95 % CI 1.085-4.472,P=0.029), and location of tumor(OR=2.861, 95 % CI 1.288-16.007,P=0.019) were independent risk factors for postoperative complications. Conclusions High ligation of the inferior mesenteric artery does not increase the incidence of postoperative complications after radical resection of rectal cancer. Anastomotic leakage after rectal cancer resection is related to gender, body mass index, with or without anemia before surgery, and location of tumor.

Invitation of patients and their families as advisors in medical activities is conducive to enhancing patient safety and medical quality, as an innovative way for hospital reform and development. By analysis of such practice of overseas hospitals, the authors recommended on introducing this practice into China. The specific recommendations included creating a social support atmosphere for patient and family as advisors, promoting patient and family engagement by hospitals, establishing a management evaluation system for the patient and family engagement, improving the comprehensive literacy level of patient and family advisors, and building an internet platform for patient and family engagement.

Patients with severe or critical coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are at high risk of death primarily due to respiratory failure caused by the cytokine storm in pulmonary tissues. The treatment response of these patients remains limited. Recently, low-dose radiation therapy (LDRT) has been clinically adopted to treat severe or critical COVID-19 patients in multiple medical centers abroad, indicating high feasibility and effectiveness. However, the mechanism and optimal radiation dose are still incompletely clear. This paper reviews the radiobiological mechanism, effectiveness, adverse reactions, and radiotherapy dose of LDRT in the treatment of severe or critical COVID-19 patients, aiming to better understand the clinical benefits and adverse reactions of LDRT.
