1.A study on the stability of control preparation of blood cells after unsealing
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2009;30(5):456-458
Objective To investigate the stability of control preparation of blood cells after un-sealing. Methods One vial of red blood cell control preparation was aliquoted in fifteen round bottom centrifuge tube with covers stored at 2-8 "C. Aliquots were tested respectively in modes of whole blood and pre-dilution each day. The test results were filled in the quality control chart. The quality control i- tems included hemoglobin (Hb), mean cell volume (MCV), hematocrit (HCT), white blood cells (WBC) ,red blood cells (RBC) and platelets (PLT). The stability of the blood cell control preparation was also dynamically observed for 15 days with a non-aliquot standard preparation. Results There were no significant differences in the test results among the aliquots tested from day 1 to day 15. The PLT count was significantly increased for the non-aliquoted vial on day 7 (P<0.05). The coefficientvariation (CV) of test results for pre-dilution specimens was 1.3 to 5.5 times as that for whole blood specimens. Conclusion The aliquots of blood cell control materials has the potential to remain viable for at least 15 days under the temperature of 2 ℃-8℃. The whole blood dilution method has preferable reproducibility and accuracy.
2.The Basic Properties and Spectral History of Distortion - product Otoacoustic Emissions in Young Subjects With Normal Hearing
Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1997;0(04):-
To study the basic properties of DPOAE including the Spectral History of DPOAE in subjects with normal hearing, Thresholds of octave pure tone from 0.125 to 8 kHz and Tympanometry in 226 Hz were measured to exclude the abnormal function of middle ear in 38 ears of 19 young subjects, then the spectrum of DPOAE、DP - Gram、I/O function curve、Latency and Spectral History of DPOAE were recorded. DPOAE can be detected in all subjects, the amplitude of DPOAE has great intersubjectal variety, the largest two values are 9.11 dB SPL at 1. 5 kHz and 7.72 dB SPL at 6 kHz, DP - Gram has two peaks. The amplitude increased with the increasement of primary tone level, The latency shortened with the increasement of primary frequency. The Spectral History in most of them is flat, the coefficiency of variance is 2. 53?1. 89% , the abnormal rate is 18.5% implying the Spectral History maybe have role in predicating subclinic cochlear lesion.
3.Clinical Significance of the Correlation Between Serum Hepatocyte Growth Factor and Urinary Viable Tubular Cells Count in Patients with Acute Renal Failure.
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(02):-
Objective To study the correlation between serum hepatocyte growth factor and Urinary viable tubular cells count in patients with acute renal failure and to evaluate the clinical significance. Methods Serum HGF levels were determined by ELISA and the number of viable tubular cells in urine was determined by trypan blue in 25 patients with ARF at the stages of oliguria, polyuria and convalescence. The relationship between serum HGF levels, the number of viable tubular cell and renal function was studied. Results Compared with the 9th day from the occurrence of ARF,the HGF levels in the serum increased significantly at the 1th day in the ARF patients. There was significant positive correlation between BUN or SCr and the serum HGF in urine in patients with acute renal failure. Conclusion Serum HGF in ARF patients increased significantly and tended to rise at first but dropped afterwards, which reflected the course of renal injury and the recovery of renal epithelial cells. The detected viable tubular cells in urine were an early predictive indication of renal function recovering in ARF patients.

Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1998;0(03):-
Transient Evoked otoacoustic emissions(TEOAE) in 25 hearing- normal youngers was analysed to study its basic character and the influences of different stimulus intensities on the amplitude and the power spectrum which may be useful to identify the hearing-loss subjects as the standardline. We find that the average amplitude of TEOAE is 5.97, 9.22, 12. 76 dB SPL under three intensities, the frequencies of the spectrum distribute from 0 to 6 000 Hz. The two maximal values are located in 1 025 Hz and 1 513 Hz seper-ately. The amplitude of TEOAE increases with the stimulus tone's growth. We conclude that it's necessary to consider completely when evaluating the patient's hearing function by TEOAE's power spectrum on account of its incontinuity and decrease in high frequency.

Objective: To assess the diagnosis value of applying integrated visual and auditory continuous performance task(IVA-CPT) and EEG biofeedback on children with attention-deficit- hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), and provide information for assisting diagnosis of ADHD. Methods: 113 children with ADHD were tested with IVA-CPT and EEG biofeedback. The sensitivity, specificity, misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate of these two methods were assessed according to the criteria of DSM-Ⅳ. Results: The sensitivity of IVA-CPT for the diagnosis of children with ADHD was 92.54, the specificity was 76.09%, misdiagnosis rate was 23.911% and missed diagnosis rate was 7.46%. And the sensitivity of EEG biofeedback for the diagnosis of children with ADHD was 83.58%, the specificity was 82.61%, misdiagnosis rate was 17.38 and missed diagnosis rate was 16.42%. Conclusion: Relatively, for diagnosis of children with ADHD, sensitivity is higher and missed diagnosis rate is lower, specificity of EEG biofeedback is higher and misdiagnosis rate is lower .

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the significance of transnasal endoscopic optic decompression in traumatic optic neuropathy. METHODS Four patients with blindness from traumatic optic neuropathy were treated with transnasal endoscopic optic decompression. RESULTS Two patients improved in visual acuity to CF/50 cm and light perception. Two patients didn’t improve after surgery. CONCLUSION Transnasal endoscopic optic decompression is significant in the management of traumatic optic neuropathy due its effectiveness and minimal invasiveness. It’s implications can be enlarged under some circumstances.

Objective:To evaluate the possible role of cytokines in pathophysiology and treatment of nasal polyps.Method:The expressions of Th1-typed cytokines IFN-γ、IL-2 、IL-12 and Th2-typed cytokines IL-4、IL-5、IL-8、IL-10、IL-13 were investigated with enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay(ELISA) in 25 patients with nasal polyps.Result:There was a significant upregulation of Th2-typed cytokines IL-4、IL-5、IL-8、IL-10、IL-13 in nasal polyps compared with normal nasal mucosa, especially IL-4 and IL-5 (3.9 times and 8.8 times higher than normal mucous respectively) while the expression of Th1-typed cytokines IFN-γ、IL-2、IL-12 drcreased after treated with local glucocorticoid. The levels of Th2-typed cytokines decreased significantly and Th1-typed cytokines had no obvious change. Conclusion:The upregulation of Th2-typed cytokines such as IL-4、IL-5、IL-8、IL-10、IL-12 may play an important role in the pathophysiology of nasal polyps and Th2-typed cytokines can be viewed as a target of treatment to nasal polyps.
