Objective To investigate the prevention effect of auto-crosslinked hyaluronic acid gel on re-adhesion for patients with moderate to severe intrauteriae adhesion (IUA) after hysteroscopy surgery. Methods 92 patients with moderate to severe IUA underwent hysteroscopy surgery from June 2013 to December 2014 were enrolled for the study and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 46 cases in each group. Patients in control group were given Foley balloon catheter to intrauterine after operation. Based on it, patients in observation group were given auto-crosslinked hyaluronic acid gel. American fertility society (AFS) IUA score, effective prevention rate and incidence of moderate to severe IUA in 3 months after operation were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of adhesive type and menstrual pattern and total AFS score of observation group in 3 months were significantly lower than that in control group (P <0.05). Effective prevention rate of observation group was sig-nificantly higher than that in control group, and the incidence of moderate to severe IUA was significantly lower than that in control group, the differences had statistical significance ( P<0.05). Conclusions Auto-crosslinked hyaluron-ic acid gel could effectively prevent the happening of re-adhesion in patients with moderate to severe IUA after hys-teroscopy surgery. It is safe and reliable, worthy of clinical popularization and application.

BACKGROUND: Bacterial cellulose, a new nanometer biomaterial, benefits the growth of skin tissue and limits the infection. It may provide advantageous conditions for the biomaterials dressing and temporary skin in the burnt patients and chronic ulcer patients. OBJECTIVE: To study the possibility of bacterial cellulose in the treatment of deep second-degree burn in rats. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: An observational experiment was perforemd at the Central Laboratory of Sixth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University from June to November 2008. MATERIALS: M12 was used to produce non-soluble gel membrane when it was cultured for 6 days at a constant temperature of 30℃, and then the sample was boiled for 20 minutes in 0.1 mol/L NaOH solution. Ivory semitransparent bacterial cellulose was obtained following the removals of thallus in liquid membrane and residual culture medium. METHODS: Skin burn in a size of 2.0 cm×2.0 cm was made in bilateral sides of spinal cord on back with self-made wound meter. One side was treated with bacterial cellulose dressing and sutured, taking as experimental side. While the other side served as control side without dressing. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: At days 4, 7, 14, 21 and 28 after operation, the healing rate of skin burn in rats was calculated, and the skin wound and healing were observed under light microscope. RESULTS: All animals were alive normally without the presence of wound infection. Compared with control side, the wound healing rate of treated side significantly improved at day 21 after operation; there was no significant difference between the treated side and control side at other time points (P < 0.01). The histological results indicated that the pathological lesion and healing had no significant differences between the two sides. CONCLUSION: Bacterial cellulose can promote the healing of skin burn wound to a certain degree.

Objective To explore the function of fluorescent probe JC-1 in detecting the changes of mitochondrial membrane potential(△?m)in early apoptotic cells. Methods After 2-ME was used to induce MUTZ-1 cell apoptosis, cells were dyed with fluorescent probe JC-1,and then the changes of △?m in the early stage of apoptotic cells were analyzed by flow cytometry or detected under fluorescent microscope. Results The control cells with high △?m are those forming JC-1 aggregates in the inner membrane of mitochondria, thus showing orange-red fluorescence.2-ME caused decrease of △?m in MUTZ-1 cells,in which JC-1 maintains monomeric form, thus showing only green fluorescence. The decreases of △?m were in a time-dependent manner, which were significantly higher than those in control group(P

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(37):6580-6586
BACKGROUND:Ultrasound therapy can relieve pain and improve the movement function in patients with knee osteoarthritis, but there lacks of consistency in the literatures of ultrasound therapy.
OBJECTIVE:To further identify the effectiveness of ultrasound therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
METHODS:Twenty-four rabbits were randomly divided into three groups:normal group, model group and ultrasound group. The rabbit in the normal group received no intervention;rabbits in the model group received anterior cruciate ligament transaction to establish the knee osteoarthritis model without any treatment;the rabbit in the ultrasound group received ultrasound therapy after modeling for 10 minutes once time, once per day, 0.3 W/cm2 , 1 MHz and treated for 10 times. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was conducted for histological observation of rabbit articular cartilage;western blot and reverse transcription PCR assessment were used to assess the expressions of caspases-3 and caspases-8 in rabbit articular cartilage, while Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling was used to assess the ratio of chondrocytes apoptosis of rabbit knee articular cartilage.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The normal rabbit cartilage tissues and chondrocytes were neatly arranged in column;the middle cartilage layer of the model was thin;the chondrocytes were arranged disorderly and became less. After ultrasound therapy, the chondrocytes were rearranged neatly, and the number was increased. Compared with the normal group, the Mankin scores in the model group and ultrasound group were higher;the apoptotic rate of chondrocytes was higher in the model group and ultrasound group than in the normal group, and was also higher in the model group than in the ultrasound group. Compared with the normal group, the expressions of caspases-3 and caspases-8 were higher in the model group and the ultrasound group, while decreased after ultrasound therapy. The results indicate that ultrasound can improve the structure of cartilage tissues, decrease the expressions of caspases-3 and caspases-8 and reduce the apoptosis rate of chondrocytes. It is effective for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with ultrasound therapy.

Objective To explore the common bleeding location, disease features, and the management strategies of intractable aged epistaxis. Methods 134 serious epistaxis patients were examined step by step according to nasal anatomic structure and treated by a stepwise way under endoscopy. Results The bleeding location of the intractable aged epistaxis were found as follows:2 cases (1. 49%) in anterosu-perior area, 44 cases (32. 84%) in anteroinferior area, 18 cases (13. 43%) in posterosuperior area, 22 cases (16. 42%) in posteroinferi-or area, 3 cases (2. 24%) in nasopharynx, and the bleeding site of the other 45 cases (33. 58%) were not found. All the patients were healed. The final treatment way were:46 cases (34. 33%) with pharmacotherapy or cauterization (grade Ⅰ~Ⅲ), 88 cases (65. 67%) with anterior nasal packing (grade Ⅳ), 9 cases (6. 72%) with posterior packing(gradeⅤ),1 case (0. 75%) with selective angiographic embolization (grade Ⅵ). There were 82 cases (61. 19%) succeed with the initial hemostasis methods while 52 cases (38. 81%) succeed with the upgrade therapy. Both hemostasis methods and upgrade therapy had statistical significance in different nasal position groups ( hemo-stasis methods:χ2 =16. 35,P=0. 00; upgrade therapy: χ2 =16. 35,P=0. 00). Conclusion Compartmental examination and classified treatment steps by using endoscope may locate and stop nose bleeding promptly while decrease patients' pain and medical cost.
