Objective: To observe the effect of home-made blenderized diet on nutritional support in old comatose patients. Methods: Sixty-three old comatose patients were fed with home-made blenderized diet by nosal gastric feeding.Triceps skinfolds were measured every month. The serum levels of albumin,pre-albumin,total number of lymph cells and hemoglobin were analysed every month. Results: No side effects of abdominal pain, dearrhea, nausea and vomiting were observed in the fed patients. The states of nutrition(such as triceps skinfolds,albumin,pre-albumin,total number of lymph cells and hemoglobin) were improved significantly after home-made blenderized diet. Conclusion: The home-made blenderized diet can support the old comatose patients effectively.

OBJECTIVETo invesitigate the clinical effects of percutaneous closed reduction and cannulated screw internal fixation combined with external fixation in the treatment of unstable pelvic fractures.
METHODSFrom April 2006 to May 2009,29 patients with pelvic fractures of rotatory instability were treated with closed reduction and screw internal fixation combined with external fixation. There were 19 males and 10 females with an average age of 31 years old (ranged from 19 to 53 years). Based on the Tile classification,17 cases were type CI and 12 case were type C2. Tornetta standard and Majeed score were used to evaluated the clinical effect after operation.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 10 to 24 months with an average of 16 months. There were no nerve injuries and other organ injuries, only one case of infection was found and it was cured with wound dressing. Time of fracture union was from 14 to 18 weeks with the mean of 16.2 weeks. No loosening, slippage or breakage of the screw were found. According to the Tornetta standards,14 cases obtained excellent results, 10 good, 4 fair and 1 poor. The Majeed score was 87.2 ± 11.3, 16 cases got excellent results, 9 good and 4 fair.
CONCLUSIONClosed reduction and screw internal fixation combined with external fixation is an effective way to treat unstable pelvic fractures with Tile type C1 and Tile type C2.

BACKGROUND:In oral warm and moisture circumstance, al oy which contains Be is easily to be eroded to release Be2+. But there is stil no research focusing on beryl ium influence on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. OBJECTIVE:To investigate Be 2+effect on genotype of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. METHODS:The revived Porphyromonas gingivalis was resuscitated for 48 hours in the anaerobic culture medium with different concentration of Be 2+(10×10-6, 5×10-6, 1.25×10-6). Through PCR amplification and sequencing, we investigated the effects of Be2+RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) When Be on genotypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimbriae gene cluster. 2+concentration was 5×10-6, we found the peak of 217 and 257 sites on DNA sequence expressing G/A overlap peak, different from G single peak of the other groups, suggesting the suspicious bases changes, part of the single base G mutated into A. (2) On al concentrations, we found a base group composed of seven A bases was inserted into the 101 site of DNA sequence. Up to now, there is no direct contacts of the mutations occurring to Be2+concentration. Changes of gene may lead to the shifting of the reading frame, the abnormal synthesis of proteins, the change of Porphyromonas gingivalis fimA gene toxicity, and lastly the unbalance of the micro-ecological environment.

Basal rate verification is the process to find and verify the basal rate of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSⅡ) required for basal glucose metabolism. In the present study, five cases of brittle diabetes were treated by CSⅡ with Insulin Lispro. After doses were adjusted to reach steady blood glucose levels, basal rate verifying tests were carried out.The results showed that the overall level and stability of blood glucose were improved markedly after CSⅡ.Before and after the verification of the basal rate, there was no significant difference in CSⅡ total doses.Basal rates decreased from 50% of total to 30% (P<0.05),and boluses increased to 70% (P<0.05).The basal rates during lunch and supper time were reduced by half (P<0.05),the boluses of lunch and supper were increased 1.5 times (P<0.05),and square waves were needed to control postprandial blood glucose. These results suggest that the CSⅡ could smoothly control blood glucose level in brittle diabetes without basal rate verification. However, the implementation of the verification could better determine the basal rates for basal glucose metabolism, and thus help to identify diet-related boluses.

Objective To detect T-lymphocyte subgroup in patients with malignant lymphoma, and investigate the relationship between the number of the cells and the oncogenesis and development of malignant lymphoma. Methods The counts of T-lymphocyte subgroup in peripheral blood of 106 patients with lymphoma were detected by flow-cytometry, and analyzed in comparison with that of 106 normal people as control. Results The counts of CD+3 cell and the ratio of CD+4/CD+8 in patients with malignant lymphoma were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05). The number of CD+3 were significantly lower and CD+8 were higher than that of control group in patients with NHL at early ( Ⅰ, Ⅱ ) stage (P<0.05). The counts of CD+3 CD+4 cell and the rate of CD+4/CD+8 in patients with NHL at advanced (Ⅲ ,Ⅳ) stage were significantly ldwer than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The function of immune is decreased in patients with malignant lymphoma, and these changes had correlation with clinic stage. It is of active significance by detecting T-lymphocyte subgroup in peripheral blood in patients with malignant lymphoma to evaluate the function of immune and find out the relationship between the number of the immune cells and the oneogenesis and development of malignant lymphoma.
