Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1986;0(02):-
Objective To explore protective effect of heparin on renal of children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP).Methods Two hundred and fifteen cases with HSP were divided into heparin-treated group(110 cases, male 64,female 46) and control group (105 cases, male 61,female 44).Serum IL-6 and IL-8 levels were examined by using radioimmunoassay respectively. These patients were followed up for more than 6 months. Results 1.The level of IL-6,IL-8 did not show significant difference between heparin-treated group and control group before treatment. The serum concentrations of IL-6,IL-8 in heparin-treated group were obviously lower than those in control group, after treatment, there was significantly different[IL-6(116.50?19.45)vs(123.88?22.55)ng /L,t=2.573 P=0.011;IL-8(0.161?0.043)vs(0.173?0.048)?g/L,t=2.024 P=0.044].2.During more than 6 months follow-up there were 26 cases suffering from purpura nephritis in heparin-treated group, the morbidity was 25%; the morbidity in control group was 39.8%,the morbidity in treatment group was significant lower than that in control group(?2=5.061 P=0.024).The time of renal injury was significantly delay in treatment group(35.0?13.2)d compared with that of control group (26.0?12.1)d(t=2.659 P=0.010).Conclusions The serum IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations in HSP obviously decrease after heparin treatment.Heparin therapy can decrease the morbidity of renal injury in children with HSP and delay the time of renal injury effectively.

OBJECTIVETo study the anti-immune inflammation efficacy and toxicity of Tripterygium wilfordii decoction, in order to provide experimental basis for studies on its "efficacy-toxicity" correlation.
METHODThe delayed hypersensitivity model was established by dinitrofluorobenzene in mice. Different doses of T. wilfordii decoction was administered for 5 consecutive days. The ear swelling inhibition ratio and the toxic action were observed. After the final administration, the biochemical indexes of PGE2, TNF-α, IL-2, ALT, AST, PA, TBA, TBIL in serum were detected, and the visceral indexes of heart, liver, spleen and kidney were measured.
RESULTThe DNFB-induced ear swelling could be notably inhibited by multiple oral administration of T. wilfordii decoction, with the ED50 and its 95% confidence limit of 0.34 (0.21-0.42) g x kg(-1). The contents of PGE2, TNF-α, IL-2 in serum decreased in a dose-dependent manner. The activities of serum AST, ALT, TBA, TBIL and the PA content reduced.
CONCLUSIONT. wilfordii decoction shows a significant anti-immune inflammation efficacy within the dosage range between 0.59 and 2.34 g x kg(-1) in a dose-dependent manner. With a certain hepatotoxicity, high dose (2.34-4.68 g x kg(-1)) of T. wilfordii decoction can cause substantial liver injury, with a dose dependence in liver function index. Therefore, the efficacy and toxicity of T. wilfordii is dose dependent, which provides reference for preventing adverse drug reactions in clinic and developing early-warning schemes and ensure the clinical medication safety of T. wilfordii.

Objective To evaluate chest CT features of microscopic polyangiitis(MPA).Methods Clinical data and chest CT images of 66 patients diagnosed as MAP had been collected.Depending on clinical manifestations.the 66 cases were divided into the active group and the stable group. The data of two groups were analyzed by x2 test. Results Forty-three of 66(65.2%)CT images were abnormal including 32 of them in active group and 11 in stable group. In these patients,CT images showed ground glass opacities(53.5%),lung consolidations(23.2%),scattered patchy opacities(44.2%),ground glass opacities and/or lung consolidations(76.7%),reticular opacities(65.1%),honeycomb(14.0%),pleural effusions(48.8%),emphysema(18.6%),and mediastinal adenopathies(58.1%).Lung consolidations, ground glass opacities, scattered patchy opacities, mediastinal adenopathies, and pleural effusion in the active group are more common than that in the stable group(X2=4.479,4.083,4.053,9.697,9.345 respectively,P<0.05).Conclusion Chest CT features of in patients with MPA have difference between active and stable periods. The chest CT scan is a useful tool to diagnose MAP in different periods and guide the treatment.

A perfect clinical trial must nave a solid study design, strict conduction, complete quality control, non-interference of statistical result, and acceptable risk-benefit ratio. To reach the target, the quality control (QC) should be performed from the study design to conduction, from the analysis to conclusion. We discuss the relationship between data management and biostatistics from the statistical point of view, and emphasize the importance of the statistical concept and methods in the improvement of data quality in clinical data management.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
AIM:To observe the protective effect of Nano-Se on myocardium of experimental diabetes mice.METHODS:Sixty healthy male KM mice were chosen, ten of which were selected randomly as the normal control group. After fasted for 24 h,the rest 50 mice were injected with streptozotocin(STZ,50 mg/kg)intraperitoneally for 5 d.At 7th d,the blood-sugar was measured from vena caudalis,40 mice,of which blood-sugar exceeded 16.65mmol/L,were selected and randomized into 4 groups:the positive control group, low dose(25 ?g/kg)Nano-Se group, mid dose(50 ?g/kg)Nano-Se group, high dose(50 ?g/kg)Nano-Se group. All mice were given intragastric administration of 0.2 mL normal saline and corresponding dose of Nano-Se.The body weights were measured every week, and the dose of which was adjusted according to the change of the body weights.8 weeks later, the mice were killed and cardiac muscle of the left ventricle was taken. The myocardium was prepared to 10% homogenate for measuring SOD,GSH-Px activity and MDA content. The myocardial cell apoptosis was measured by TUNEL.The expressions of Bc1-2 and Bax proteins were determined by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:Compared to normal group, the SOD and GSH-Px activities in positive control group decreased,MDA level increased, the rate of myocardial cell apoptosis increased significantly,Bc1-2 protein expression deceased and Bax protein expression increased.Compared to positive control group, the SOD and GSH-Px activities in low and mid dose Nano-Se groups expression increased,MDA level decreased, myocardial cell apoptosis rate decreased,Bc1-2 protein expression increased and Bax protein expression decreased. Moreover, the SOD and GSH-Px activities in high dose Nano-Se group decreased obviously compared to those in mid dose Nano-Se group.MDA level and myocardial cell apoptosis rate increased,Bc1-2 protein expression decreased and Bax protein expression increased,no significant difference in SOD,GSH-Px activity,MDA level and myocardial cell apoptosis rate was observed compared with positive control group.CONCLUSION:The damage of cardiac muscle is alleviated when a certain dose of Nano-Se is supplied to diabetes mice. The protective mechanism may be related to antioxidation,blood-sugar adjustment and the increase of Bc1-2 expressing.
