Objective To investigate the protective effects of ATP-sensitive potassium channel (K (ATP)) opener (Pinacidil) on cultured cortical neurons in newborn rats after anoxic/hypoglycemic damage. Methods Neurons were exposed to anoxic/hypoglycemic condition for 4 h,8 h,16 h, after being cultured for 10 days. All cultured neurons were divided into 4 groups: normal control group, model control group, Pinacidil (Pin) group and Pin plus Glibenclamide (Gli) group. The cell mortality, quantity of LDH and the percentage of neuron apoptosis in each group were determined. Objective To establish a GC method for the determination of menthol in Fufang Caoshanhu Hanpian. Method HP-FFAP elastic quartz capillary vessel column was used,FID detector,programmed temperature,injection and detector temperatures was 250 ℃. Result The linear range of menthol were 0.020～ 0.300 ?g,respeetively. The average recoveries was 99.36% (RSD=1.12%). Conclusion This method is simple and accurate,and can be used for the determination method of menthol in Fufang Caoshanhu Hanpian.

Objective To determine the efficacy of palliative radiotherapy in treating tumor-stage cutaneous T-cell lymphoma/mycosis fungoides (MF).
Methods From January 2008 to January 2013, a total of 11 patients with tumor-stage MF were treated with local radiation therapy in Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The median age of these patients was 53.36±14.45 years. Female-male ratio was 1:1.2. The average course of disease was 10.82±3.37 years. All the patients were treated with local electronic beam irradiation with a total median dosage of 48.55±9.51 (40-74) Gy in an average of 24.55±5.57 (20-40) fractions, 5 fractions per week.
Results The median follow-up time was 55.27±29.3 (13-103) months. No severe acute or chronic side effects of irradiation were observed. Complete clinical response (CR) rate of the radiated sites was 54.5%(6/11), partial response (PR) rate was 36.4%(4/11), and the overall response rate (CR+PR) was 90.9%. One patient showed no response.
Conclusion Local radiotherapy with psolaren plus ultraviolet A and/or interferon maintaining treatment is an effective palliative therapy in the treatment of tumor-stage MF patients.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of ultrasound-guided double-tract percutaneous cholecystostomy combined with choledochoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholecystolithotomy for the elderly patients with acute calculous cholecystitis.Methods The clinical data of 35 elderly patients with cholecystolithiasis who were admitted to the General Hospital of Chengdu Military Command from January 2012 to December 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.All the 35 patients received ultrasound-guided double-tract percutaneous drainage,and then received choledochoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholecystolithotomy.The long-term oral use of anti-inflammatory and cholagogue medications after operation reduced recurrence of cholecystolithiasis.All the patients were followed up by telephone interview and outpatient examination till June 30,2014.Results All the 35 patients undergoing successfully the ultrasound-guided double-tract percutaneous cholecystostomy.Of the 35 patients,1 patient with the puncture bleeding was cured successfully by symptomatic treatment,1 patient was treated by cholecystectomy due to the unformed sinus tract under costal margin,and other 34 patients underwent successfully cholecystolithotomy.The follow-up was carried out for 4 to 24 months and 1 patient was diagnosed as with recurrence of cholecystolithiasic.Conclusion Ultrasound-guided double-tract percutaneous cholecystostomy combined with choledochoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholecystolithotomy for elderly patients with acute calculous cholecystitis is safe and feasible,with an advantage of promotional value.

Objective To compare T2* value in healthy and diseased achilles tendons (AT) using 3D-ultra-short echo time (UTE),and to analyze the correlation between T2* value and clinical scores.Methods Fifteen patients (patients group) and ten volunteers (control group) were included and underwent an MR scan with UTE sequence.The T2* value of four ROI in AT were calculated.Independent sample t-test was used to compare the differences of T2* value between two groups.The correlation of T2* values with the American Orthopaedic Foot and ankle society ankle hindfoot scale (AOFAS) and achilles tendon total rupture score (ATRS) were analyzed.Results The T2* value of four ROI were statistically significantly higher in patients group than those of control group.There were negative correlation between T2* and AOFAS or ATRS scores (r=-0.92,-0.90,both P＜0.01).Conclusion The T2* value of pathologic AT increases.The quantitative MRI UTE-T2* can evaluate AT from the biochemical structure and correlates with clinical outcomes,which is helpful to diagnose AT in the early stage.

Objective To identify the key factors triggering medical disputes induced by differences in cognition between doctors and patients in order to control the occurrence and development of medical disputes. Methods From 2002 to 2006,the outpatients,inpatients and medical staff of 3 hospitals in Shanghai(class 3 first level general hospital,n=2;class 3 first level special hospital,n=1) were investigated,and random sampling method was employed for the research analysis. Results There were significant differences between doctors and patients in cognition of influential factors triggering medical disputes such as health law,medical services,rights and obligations. Conclusion The differences in cognition between doctors and patients are important causes for medical disputes,and effective prevention and intervention measures must be taken.

Gastric bronchogenic cysts （GBCs） is uncommon with atypical clinical features. It is difficult to diagnose by preoperative imaging examinations. Therefore , postoperative histopatho-logical examination is regarded as the golden bacteria in ultimate diagnosis. The treatment of GBCs：ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and endoscopic mucosal resection is only used for small GBCs with intra-cavity growth pattern. However , GBCs with extra-cavity growth pattern is featured with deeply anatomical position , large size , and prone on attaching to vital blood vessels and organs , which makes laparoscopic resection is the first choice in treatment. The authors introduce the diagnosis and treatment of a case of GBCs attaching to lesser curvature , in order to provide references for clinical diagnosis of GBCs.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a common lethal urological cancer,the distant metastasis of which is the leading cause of death.Although targeted agents have remarkably improved the overall prognosis of RCC patients,nearly all the patients eventually acquire therapeutic resistance.With the advent of immune checkpoint inhibitors,immunotherapy based on tumor microenvironment (TME) has shown a broad scope in clinical application.The deepening understanding of TME leads to the changes of therapeutic strategies for advanced RCC,and the combination of targeted therapy and immunotherapy is exhibiting a promising prospect.Herein,we reviewed the TME characteristics,candidate predictive biomarkers,and possible targets for future development of drugs against RCC.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the time-course expression of zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1) in cerebral cortex after traumatic brain injury (TBI). METHODS: The TBI model of mouse was established. The mice were divided in 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 3 d, 7 d after TBI, sham and control groups. The permeability of the blood brain barrier was evaluated by measuring the extravasation of Evans blue (EB) dye. The expression of ZO-1 in cerebral cortex in the injured area was detected by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: The extravasation of EB dye of injured cortex gradually increased from 1 h, peaked at 1-3 d and approximately decreased to normal at 7 d after TBI. Western blotting revealed that the expression of ZO-1 gradually decreased after 1 h, was at the lowest at 1-3 d, and then significantly increased after 7 d but was still lower than that of normal and sham groups. The result of immunohistochemistry showed that ZO-1 had strong expression in vessel of normal cortex, gradually decreased after TBI, and almost disappeared at 3 d after TBI and gradually recovered to normal level later. CONCLUSION The expression of ZO-1 in the injured cortex after TBI initially decreases and then increases. The negative correlation between ZO-1 expression and EB extravasation after TBI could be used as a new indicator for wound age estimation.
