Objective: To elucidate and compare the parametric method and non-parametric method in estimation of the area under ROC curve, so as to provide a basis for their application in diagnosis assessment. Methods: The areas under ROC curves were estimated by parametric method of fitting binomial model and by non-parametric method of Mann-Witney statistics. The method was employed in the diagnostic tests of lung cancer. Results: By non-parametric methods, the areas under ROC curves of Cyfra21-1 and CEA were respectively 0.77 and 0.87 in the lung cancer diagnostic tests; by parametric methods, they were 0.78 and 0.87, respectively. It was indicated that when the sample size was large, the values of areas under ROC Curves were similar between parametric method and non-parametric method. Conclusion: Non-parametric method should be used to evaluate the area under ROC curve if the sample size is small, and for large sample size, the parametric method or nonparametric method should be chosen according to the actual situation.

Objective:To study expression of complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 3 (CTRP-3)in patients with hypertension and its significance.Methods:A total of 562 patients with hypertension were enrolled as hypertension group,and 570 normal subjects undergoing physical examination were regarded as normal control group. General data,plasma levels of adiponectin (APN),leptin and CTRP-3 etc. were measured and compared be- tween two groups. Correlation among CTRP-3 level and related factors of hypertension were analyzed. Results:Compared with normal control group,there were significant reductions in plasma levels of APN [(12.1±0.4)μg/ml vs. (7.3±0.5)μg/ml],leptin [(10.1±0.4)ng/ml vs. (6.2±0.8)ng/ml]and CTRP-3 [(429±15)ng/ml vs. (314±13)ng/ml]in hypertension group,P<0.05 all. Spearman correlation analysis indicated that after correcting age and gender,plasma CTRP-3 level was significant inversely correlated with body mass index,systolic blood pres- sure,diastolic blood pressure,waist circumference,waist hip ratio,levels of total cholesterol,low density lipopro- tein cholesterol (LDL-C),triglyceride,fasting blood glucose,insulin,homeostasis model-insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR),glycosylated hemoglobin,high sensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP)(r=-0.852~-0.011,P<0.05 or <0.01),and significant positively correlated with levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), APN and leptin (r=0.654~0.962,P<0.05 all). Multi-factor regression analysis indicated that compared with high tertile CTRP-3 group,the OR=14.17 (95%CI:3.62~28.34),P=0.001 in low tertile CTRP-3 group,sug- gesting that low plasma CTRP-3 level was independent risk factor for hypertension.Conclusion:Complement C1q tumor necrosis factor-related protein 3 level significantly correlated with hypertension,and it's an independent risk factor for hypertension.

The correlation among CTRP‐3 level and related indexes were analyzed ,and multi-factor regression analysis was used to study independent risk factors for obesity .Results:Compared with normal control group ,there were significant rise in body mass index (BMI) ,homeostasis model -insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) ,levels of systolic blood pressure (SBP) ,diastolic blood pressure (DBP) ,total cholesterol (TC) ,low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL‐C) ,triglyceride (TG) ,fasting blood glucose (FBG) ,insulin ,glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and high sensitive C reactive protein (hsCRP) ,and significant reductions in levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL‐C) ,adiponectin (APN) ,leptin and CTRP‐3 in obesity group , P<0.05 or <0.01 . Spearman correlation analysis indicated that after age and gender correction ,CTRP‐3 level was significant inversely correlated with BMI (r= -0.221) ,SBP (r= -0.031) ,DBP (r= -0.043) ,TC (r= -0.147) , LDL‐C (r= -0.051) ,TG (r= -0.743) ,FBG (r= -0.238) ,insulin (r= -0.053) ,HOMA -IR (r= -0.281) , HbA1c (r= -0.741) and hsCRP levels (r= -0.216) ,P<0.05 or <0.01 ,and significant positively correlated with lev‐els of HDL‐C (r=0.351) ,APN (r= 0.852) and leptin (r=0.641) ,P<0.05 all .Multi-factor regression analysis indi‐cated that after correcting other influencing factors ,compared with high tertile CTRP‐3 group ,there were significant rise in OR value in middle tertile CTRP‐3 group (OR=6.47 ,95% CI 3.58 -12.18) and low tertile CTRP‐3 group (OR=12.39 ,95% CI 3.58-29.15) , P<0.01 all .Conclusion:CTRP‐3 level is significantly correlated with obesity -related fac‐tors ,and it′s an independent risk factor for obesity .

OBJECTIVEThis review aims to identify the dimensional structure of the shortened dentine hypersensitivity experience questionnaire (DHEQ-15) using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA).

METHODSThe Chinese language version of DHEQ-15 was applied to 210 patients with dentine hypersensitivity aged 18-70 years old. The three-dimensional construct was confirmed by CFA.

RESULTSAll the questionnaires were fully completed. The item "Because of the sensations, I take longer to finish a meal than others" was the most frequently reported by the parents. The modified three-factor model is suitable for the data. The chi-square fit statistics/degree of freedom was 2.213, the goodness-of-fit index was 0.905, the adjusted goodness-of-fit index was 0.872, the normed fit index was 0.845, the incremental fit index was 0.962, the Tucker-Lewis index was 0.969, the comparative fit index was 0.977, and the root mean square error of approximation was 0.068.

CONCLUSIONSOur findings generally support the three-dimensional construct of the DHEQ-15. Thus, DHEQ-15 can be used as a valid instrument in patients with dentine hypersensitivity in China.

Objective: To learn HIV related stigma and its associated factors among the patients on antiretroviral therapy ( ART ) in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, so as to provide evidence for eliminating HIV discrimination. Methods: A total of 419 subjects were recruited by convenience sampling from three ART clinics in Wenshan City and Maguan County between October 2017 and January 2018. HIV/AIDS Related Stigma and Discrimination Scale developed by Li Xianhong et al was employed. The multivariate linear regression model were used to explore the influencing factors for HIV stigma. Results: The median scores of disclosure concern, public rejection, family stigma, internalized stigma, health service providers＇ stigma were 24.00, 6.00, 10.00, 20.00, 2.00, respectively, and the overall was 68.00. The multivariate linear regression analysis showed that female patients ( standardized β=0.135 ) , patients with opportunistic infection ( standardized β=0.120 ), patients had no HIV infected family member ( standardized β=-0.128 ) , patients without family support ( standardized β=-0.175 ) , patients received gift from ART clinics ( standardized β=0.124 ) , patients scored lower in ART knowledge ( standardized β=-0.117 ) were likely to scored higher in HIV stigma. Conclusions The stigma on disclosure concern and internalized stigma dimensions are grievous among ART patients in Wenshan Prefecture. Gender, opportunistic infection, HIV infection in family, family support, receiving incentive gifts from clinics and awareness of ART are associated with HIV stigma.

Objective To evaluate the correlation between cerebral blood volume and permeability surface by using muhislice CT perfusion imaging with glioma grade.Methods Ninteen patients with gliomas underwent conventional MR and multislice CT perfusion imaging preoperatively.These patients were divided into low grade and high grade groups which were correspond to WHO Ⅱ grade gliomas and WHO Ⅲ or Ⅳ grade gliomas respectively.CT data were transferred to on-line working station and processed to obtain time-signal curves,color perfusion maps and calculated perfusion parameters,including cerebral blood volume(CBV),cerebral blood flow(CBF),mean transit time(MTT)and permeability surfaces (PS)in tumoral parenchyma.Kruskal-Wallis test and correlation of CBV and PS was assessed by using SPSS 11.0 software.Results The median of CBV and PS in low-grade and high-grade glioma were 2.7, 6.5 ml/100 g;0.389,12.810 ml?100 g~(-1)?min~(-1),respectively,corresponding t value were 12.907, 13.500 with P

AIM: To observe the inhibition of c-Met inhibitor on proliferation of lens epithelial cells (LECs).METHODS: Human's LECs were cultured and hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and K252a were added to second passage of cells supplied with Dulbecco's modified eagle's medium (DMEM). MTT assay was used to examine the proliferation of LECs, and Western-blot was used to detect the expression change of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3.RESULTS: The photodensity (A) of HGF (50nmol/L) + K252a (30nmol/L) was not significantly different from that of DMEM control (P＞0.05). The expression of Bcl-2 and Caspase-3 were not significantly different from that in the control group.CONCLUSION: K252a, the inhibitor of c-Met, can effectively inhibit the proliferation of LECs.

OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy of different points combination in the treatment of menopausal insomnia.

METHODSNinety-six cases of menopausal insomnia were randomized into 3 groups, Xinshu (BL 15), Shenshu (BL 23), Sishencong (EX-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6) were chosen in the restore interaction between the heart and the kidney group (group A, 32 cases); Zhaohai (KI 6), Jiaoxin (KI 8), Shenmai (BL 62), Pucan (BL 61) were chosen in the acupuncturing qiao mai group (group B, 32 cases); auricular Shenmen (TF4) and sensitive spot at the distribution area of auricular vagus nervus were chosen in the ear acupuncture group (group C, 32 cases). Six days made one session and the treatments were finished after 4 courses. The polysomnography (PSG) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) were employed before and after treatment to evaluate the alleviation of insomnia.

RESULTSThe parameters of the sleep latency (SL), rapid wave sleep latency (RL) and sleep efficiency (SE) were significantly improved in the three groups, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). The SL and awaking time (AT) in group C [SL (401.08 +/- 16.54) min and AT (4.87 +/- 2.64) times] were significantly superior to those in the other two groups [SL (50.36 +/- 18.47) min, (54.87 +/- 20.92) min, AT (5.98 +/- 2.11) times, (6.13 +/- 3.04) times, all P < 0.05]. The S(3+4) (%) in group C was also significantly higher than those in the other two groups (both P < 0.05). It was indicated by PSQI that the sleep quality of group C (0.78 +/- 0.12) was significantly superior to that in group B (1.32 +/- 0.29), the total score and cured and markedly effective rate in group C [(4.34 +/- 1.43), 68.8% (22/32)] were superior to those in group A [(7.48 +/- 3.09), 53.1% (17/32), both P < 0.05].

CONCLUSIONEar acupuncture has a better curative effect than the restore interaction between the heart and the kidney group and acupuncturing qiao mai group, it is worth of being promoted.
