Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the effect of continuous subcutaneous insulin injection(CSII)and multiple subcutaneous insulin injection(MSII)on islet b cell function at the onset of type 2 diabetes.Method 64 patients were randomly divided into CSII(f/m=18/20)and MSII groups(f/m=14/12).There was no significant difference in age, fasting C peptide level, fasting blood glucose level,BMI and HbA1c.The patients of both groups were given intensive insulin therapy.Once the total dosage of daily insulin was kept less than 30U and the fast blood glucose was 3.6-6.0 mmol/L,intensive insulin therapy was changed to oral administration of hypoglycin A(OHA),otherwise the intensive insulin therapy was continued. The number of patients who were switched over to oral drug was compared after one month after the intensive therapy.Result 31 patients in CSII group and 8 patients in MSII group were changed to OHA one month after intensive therapy.A significant difference existed between the two groups(?2=3.37,P

5. Research Progress in Synaptic Plasticity Impairment of Diabetic Encephalopathy
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2018;53(21):1805-1809
Previous studies demonstrate that diabetes mellitus induces cognitive impairment, leading to diabetic encephalopathy(DE), which is closely related with hippocampal synaptic plasticity impairment, including synaptic structural and functional damage. Structural damage mainly embodied in the synapse degeneration.Functional damage mainly reflects in the LTP damage, including the composition variation and functional lesions of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors(NMDARs), α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid receptors (AMPARs) and patassium channels.Abnormal synaptic plasticity may be critical in the pathogenesis of diabetic encephalopathy. In this review, we summarized the relationship between DE and synaptic plasticity impairment.

A biosurfactant-producing strain(S_6)was isolated from oil-containing wastewater in oxidation ditch and identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on physiological and biochemical experiments and 16S rDNA sequence analysis.Infrared spectrum analysis revealed that S_6 produced glucolipid in the process of metabolism. It was observed that S_6 decreased the surface tension of water from 72 mN/m to 33.9 mN/m with the critical micelle concentration(CMC)of 50mg/L.The measurement of oil displacement and surface tension demonstrated that the fermented liquid had stable surface activity at varying range of salinity,pH,amount of dissolved oxygen. The optimal culture condition was obtained through orthogonal experiment:glucose 10g/L,urea 5g/L,KH_2PO_4 1g/L,liquor of microelement 2mL,pH 8.0,water 1000mL;and the biosurfactant production under optimal culture condition was 0.173g/L.

Objective To investigate the influence of probiotics on gastrointestinal motility and hormone secretion of rats with severe brain injury. Methods Severe brain injury rats were prepared. 54 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into three groups: group A ( sham-operation), group B ( standard enteral nutrition) and group C (standard enteral nutrition plus probiotics). Each group was equally divided into three subgroups on 1 d, 3d, 7 d, respectively. Gastric emptying rate, intestinal transmission rate, motilin ( MTL) and calcitonin gene related protein (CGRP) level in plasma were measured 1 d, 3 d, 7 d post trauma. Results Compared with group A, gastric emptying rate and intestinal transmission rate decreased significantly on 1 d post trauma(P <0. 01). They were still much lower in group B on 3 d post trauma(P < 0. 01), while they increased significantly in group C on 3 d post trauma(P <0.05). MTL and CGRP level in plasma increased significantly after severe brain injury; however, the levels in group B were much higher than those in group C on 1 d and 3d(P<0.01). There was no significant difference among the three groups regarding gastric emptying rate, intestinal transmission rate, and MTL and CGRP level. Conclusions Severe brain injury could induce disorder of gastrointestinal motility and dysfunction of hormone level. Early enteral nutrition supplemented with probiotics could improve gastrointestinal motility and transmission and regulate highly increased gastrointestinal hormone after severe brain injury.

Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) technology combined with cluster analysis method was used to classify 75 batches of crystalline ceftriaxone sodium into subtypes, the crystalline characteristics of each subtype were measured with scanning electron microscope (SEM). By comparing some parameters of these subtypes correlated to crystallization process of ceftriaxone sodium, such as salification rate, water content in different subtypes, as well as by studying different lattice stabilities, different compatibilities with rubber closures during accelerated stability tests, the key point to improve the quality of domestic ceftriaxone sodium was disclosed. The results of this paper indicated that the fine structure of the products could be controlled well by improving the salification and crystallization process. As a result, the subtype II of ceftriaxone sodium with high stability can be produced.
