2.Digital renovation of S2001 field X-ray vehicle
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
S2001 field X-ray vehicle is used to perform X-ray examination in the field hospital, while the disadvantages of the traditional film-screen radiography restrict its role of field examination in this digital era. By analyzing the detail of modern digital X-ray radiography, and comparing three different digital X-ray flat detectors, a solution is put forward to update S2001 field X-ray vehicle to a field digital X- ray radiography vehicle by using Canon CXDI digital X- ray detector.

A perfect clinical trial must nave a solid study design, strict conduction, complete quality control, non-interference of statistical result, and acceptable risk-benefit ratio. To reach the target, the quality control (QC) should be performed from the study design to conduction, from the analysis to conclusion. We discuss the relationship between data management and biostatistics from the statistical point of view, and emphasize the importance of the statistical concept and methods in the improvement of data quality in clinical data management.

Objective To study the spatial variation of T2 relaxation time of cartilage of knee in healthy adults. Methods T2 values of cartilage of knee in 21 asymptomatic young male adults ( age ranged 24 to 39 years ; mean age , 30 years) were calculated by using a multiecho,spin-echo MR imaging sequence at 1.5T MR scanner on sagittal T2 maps, including the patellar, distal femoral weight and non-weight-bearing as well as proximal tibial weight-bearing cartilages, the differences in the spatial variation between them were analysed using F test. Results All 21 asymptomatic volunteers demonstrated a consistent pattern of spatial variation of T2 values cartilage of knee with longer T2 values near the subchondral bone, decreased in deep zoon and increased in articular surface , there was difference between them (F=70.892 , P<0.05 ) . The greates spatial variation occurred in the patella.T2 value(26.56 ms±4.4 ms) in the deeper zoon of cartilage of the patella was obviously lower than that of the weight-and non-weight-bearing articular cartilage (P = 0.001 ) . Lateral femoral weight-bearing articular cartilage showed lower T2 value ( 35.2 ms ± 6.31 ms) in the outer transitional superficial zone than thatof the patella and non-weight-bearing cartilage,P=0.002,P=0.000 respectively.Lateral tibial weight-bearing articular cartilage showed showed lower T2 value(37.11 ms±6.6 ms)in the outer transitional superficial zone than that of non-weight-bearing cartilage(P=0.000). Conclusion The spatial variation of T2 relaxation time of cartilage of knee in the vivo in the asymptomatic young adults is like slightly concave curve at 1.5T MR system, that is of reference value in study of degenerative osteoarthritis.
8.Aerodynamics study on pressure changes inside pressure-type whole-body plethysmograph produced by flowing air.
Acta Physiologica Sinica 2010;62(1):42-48
When using pressure-type plethysmography to test lung function of rodents, calculation of lung volume is always based on Boyle's law. The precondition of Boyle's law is that perfect air is static. However, air in the chamber is flowing continuously when a rodent breathes inside the chamber. Therefore, Boyle's law, a principle of air statics, may not be appropriate for measuring pressure changes of flowing air. In this study, we deduced equations for pressure changes inside pressure-type plethysmograph and then designed three experiments to testify the theoretic deduction. The results of theoretic deduction indicated that increased pressure was generated from two sources: one was based on Boyle's law, and the other was based on the law of conservation of momentum. In the first experiment, after injecting 0.1 mL, 0.2 mL, 0.4 mL of air into the plethysmograph, the pressure inside the chamber increased sharply to a peak value, then promptly decreased to horizontal pressure. Peak values were significantly higher than the horizontal values (P<0.001). This observation revealed that flowing air made an extra effect on air pressure in the plethysmograph. In the second experiment, the same volume of air was injected into the plethysmograph at different frequencies (0, 0.5, 1, 2, 3 Hz) and pressure changes inside were measured. The results showed that, with increasing frequencies, the pressure changes in the chamber became significantly higher (P<0.001). In the third experiment, small animal ventilator and pipette were used to make two types of airflow with different functions of time. The pressure changes produced by the ventilator were significantly greater than those produced by the pipette (P<0.001). Based on the data obtained, we draw the conclusion that, the flow of air plays a role in pressure changes inside the plethysmograph, and the faster the airflow is, the higher the pressure changes reach. Furthermore, the type of airflow also influences the pressure changes.

Primary tracheal tumors are relatively rare. Here we report one case of primary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the trachea which was ever misdiagnosed as asthma and hysteria. In this case, the pulmonary function test was normal, and firstly no obvious abnormalities were found in laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy and CT scan of chest. Later a sagittal and coronal reconstruction CT scan of trachea showed a mass situated in the subglottic trachea. Lastly a laryngoscopy was again done after a tracheal incision and showed a small mass in the posterior wall of the subglottic trachea, and tumor ablation was performed. In addition, we reviewed the literature of primary tracheal tumors and summarized the epidemiology, presenting features, available therapeutic options of the disease.

To study the B cell linear epitopes of rabies virus CVS-11 nucleoprotein, peptides were synthesized according to the amino acid sequences of B cell linear epitopes. Linear epitopes predicted by bioinformatics analysis were evaluated with immunological techniques. Indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay showed that titers of antibodies to peptides (355-369 and 385-400 residues of rabies virus CVS-11 nucleoprotein) were above 1:12 800 in mouse sera. The antibodies recognized denatured rabies virus CVS-11 nucleoprotein in Western blot analysis. Purified anti-peptide antibodies recognized natural rabies virus CVS-11 nucleoprotein in BHK-21 cells in indirect fluorescent antibody test. The 355-369 and 385-400 residues of rabies virus CVS-11 nucleoprotein were validated as B cell linear epitopes.
