After 28 foreign species of AM fungi were inoculated in sterilized soil, the effects of the AM mycorrhizal colonization and the medicine quality of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis were observed by combination of inoculation test in pot at room temperature and instrumental analysis. The results showed that, compared with control group (CK), the inoculation of foreign AM fungi in the soil influenced the spore density, mycorrhizal infection rate, and colonization intensity of AM fungi in root system of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. The inoculation of foreign AM fungi enhanced the mycorrhiza viability of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis by increasing the activity of succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in intraradical hyphae. The content of single steroid saponin in rhizome of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis showed variation after P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was inoculated by different foreign species of AM fungi, which was beneficial for increasing the medicine quality; however, the kinds of steroid saponin showed no difference. In a degree, there was a selectivity of symbiosis between P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis and foreign AM fungi. And we found that the Claroideoglomus claroideum and Racocetra coralloidea were best foreign AM fungi species for cultivating P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis under field condition.

Objective To evaluate the role of spinal Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathway in the development of inflammatory pain in rats. Methods Thirty-six adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 3 groups (n=12 each) using a random number table:control group, inflammatory pain group and TLR4 signaling pathway inhibitor epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) group (EGCG group).Inflammatory pain was induced by injecting 50 μl of complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) into the ankle joint cavity of the left hindpaw of rats anesthetized with isoflurane. At 1-3 days after injection of CFA,EGCG 30 μg was intrathecally injected once a day in group EGCG.At 1,3 (30 min after intrathecal injection),5and 7 days after injection of CFA,the mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (MWT) and thermal paw withdrawal latency (TWL) were measured. The ipsilateral L4.5 segments of the spinal cord were removed at 3 days after CFA injcction for determination of TLR4 expression (by Western blot) and contents of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-oα),interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-1β in the spinal dorsal horn (by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay). Results Compared with control group, the MWT was significantly decreased and the TWL was shortened at each time point after injection of CFA,the expression of TLR4 in the spinal dorsal horn was up-regulated,and contents of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in the spinal dorsal horn were increased in inflammatory pain group (P< 0.05),and no significant change was found in the parameters mentioned above in EGCG group (P>0.05).Compared with inflammatory pain group, the MWT was significantly increased and the TWL was prolonged at each time point after injection of CFA,the expression of TLR4 in the spinal dorsal horn was down-regulated,and contents of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1β in the spinal dorsal horn were decreased in EGCG group (P<0.05).Conclusion Spinal TLR4 signaling pathway is involved in the development of inflammatory pain in rats.

In this paper, the varying pattern of the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms, including bacteria, actinomycetes and fungus, was observed during the cultivation of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis. And the correlations between number of rhizospheric microorganisms and the quality of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis were also studied. The results showed that the rhizospheric microorganism source of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was rich. The distribution of rhizospheric microorganisms (soil bacteria, fungus, actinomycetes, potassium-solubilizing bacteria, inorganic phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria, organic phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria) collected from different origin places existed significant difference (P < 0.05). The varying pattern for the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms was showed as following: the amount of bacteria > the amount of actinomycetes > the amount of fungus. The medicinal quality of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was influenced by their habits, and the increase of cultivation years caused the obvious decrease of the quality of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. Therefore, the increase of cultivation years will cause the variation of the soil micro-ecology flora, and decrease the nutrient absorption and the utilization of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis, which will make the decrease of the medical quality of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2010;30(8):841-844
OBJECTIVETo observe the curative effect of Shenyanning (SYN) on non-nephrotic syndrome IgA nephropathy (IgAN).
METHODSSeventy primary IgAN patients were equally randomized into two groups, the treatment group and the control group, they were orally treated with SYN Decoction (one dose per day) and Losartan (50 mg per day) respectively for 1 year. Efficacy of treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores, end-point events occurrence as well as changes of related laboratory indices were observed.
RESULTSThe total effective rate in the treatment group was obviously higher than that in the control group (77.1% vs. 54.3%, P < 0.05). After treatment, the Chinese medicine syndrome scores, urinary protein and urinary red-cell count reduced significantly in the treatment group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01) and showed significant difference as compared with those in the control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01); while the endogenous creatinine clearance was changed insignificantly in both groups. Beside, the occurrence of end-point events in the treatment group was slightly lower than that in the control group, though showed no statistical difference between them.
CONCLUSIONThe curative effect of SYN in treating IgAN was obviously better than that of simple Western medicine.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(2):88-92
OBJECTIVE:
To analyze the latency of posture evoked response of normal lower limb muscle in different stimulations and explore its influencing factors.
METHODS:
The normal lower limb was induced to produce postural evoked response by the dynamic posturography through two kinds of perturbations, the supporting surface rotation stimulation (Toes-up and Toes-down) and the horizontal perturbation stimulation (Forward and Backward). The latencies of tibialis anterior muscle and gastrocnemius muscle were recorded by surface electromyography acquisition system. The differences of the left and right limb, gender and height on the latency of postural evoked response were analyzed.
RESULTS:
(1) Under the Toes-up and Backward perturbation, the latency of tibialis anterior muscle was longer than gastrocnemius muscle; under the Toes-down and Forward perturbation, the latency of gastrocnemius muscle was longer than tibialis anterior muscle. (2) The latencies of left limb and right limb had no significant difference. (3) The latency in male was longer than that in female. (4) The latency gradually increased with the increase of height.
CONCLUSION
In the postural evoked response, different perturbations, gender and height have significant impacts on the latency of posture evoked response of lower limb muscle. However, the effect of height and gender should be not considered referring to the same individual.
